Doth mine eyes deceive me? *rubs face vigorously* Are those really Jeffrey Campbell Litas on the red carpet?! JC's platform boots, ubiquitous to the blogosphere, are actually making their way to the red (or blue) carpet. Honestly, one sighting of a pair of these puppies at a major event would be heart-stopping enough, but to spot THREE instances of the shoes on our image wires in just ONE WEEK (via designer Richie Rich, newcomer Kelli Goss, and actress Grace Phipps)? Well, we're sent into a biological tailspin of malfunctioning organs and synapse misfires. My nerves are so fried, I'm, like, this close to needing to dictate this post to a wide-eyed, nimble-fingered intern.
But if there were any style of shoe you would undoubtedly see three PLUS iterations of in one week, it would definitely be the Jeffrey Campbell Lita. The über-popular boot comes in just about every color, print, and material (velvet, brocade, patent, laser cut, GLITTER, etc., etc.) you could ever want, and JC is regularly adding new versions (as if 45 weren't a wide enough selection to satisfy the world). Better yet, the shoes are so versatile they can be rocked in a variety of ways. Wear them somewhat casually with an easy top and leggings (metallic ones, if you dare) à la JWOWW pal Richie Rich. Or pair them with a flirty colorful look like Kelli Goss for a girls' night out. Or, OR don't let the big heel and platform fool you! You can EVEN style them with a frilly, girly dress like Grace Phipps did at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards, especially if you have one of the sparkly or soft sueded styles. Get out, get a pair, and pretend you are walking the red carpet, which is what we are all doing at this very moment.
