Amanda Seyfried, Justin Timberlake, and Olivia Wilde arrive at the premiere of "In Time" in Los Angeles.
We're always excited to see Justin Timberlake, be it on a red carpet, at a fashion show, or in candid shots we might or might not search for on photo service websites on a regular basis. We've been looking forward to his latest turn as a seasoned ac-TOR in the sci-fi thriller In Time, in which he costars with Amanda Seyfried (who plays his love interest) and Olivia Wilde (who plays HIS MOM). Before we get into the strangeness of this casting choice, can we just say that we really miss Justin The Singer? We love that he's fluffing out his wings of greatness (and wish he were a regular on SNL), but we just want a little of his onstage sexy back, y'know? Still, In Time premiered in L.A. and everyone looked all styled-out and gorgeous and—HOLD UP, JUSTIN'S RAPPING IN A NEW VIDEO????
OK, let us just comment on Amanda Seyfried's to-die Prabal Gurung dress for a mo'. It's a purple-on-white Rorshach test of beauty that is modestly cut yet figure-flattering and classy. Major props to the hairstylist for keeping her hair simple and bravo to the makeup artist for a strong eye. All in all, a red carpet WIN. As for Olivia Wilde, we say, DITTO. This gal can wear anything and radiate beauty and light (and youth, as she does in the movie as a MOM who never looks older than 25, which is the point of the film...just see it and you'll understand). You can't see it in this photo, but her Yigal Azrouël dress is all kinds of bare, cut-out gloriousness in the back. Again, natural hair with a dramatic dress (dramatic in that it's a LOT of black with the only contrast being her exposed skin and single cuff) is the way to go. She looks very clean and California chic. Again, SCORE, a direct red carpet hit.
OK, JUSTIN. We see that you're changing it up with a hint (make that an assault) of camel, but you seem to wear it well. We just want you to wear it a wee bit tighter next time and maybe with a crisp white shirt. It's not that we're hating on this sartorial choice, it's just that the suit could benefit from some gentle tailoring and we like a touch of brightness around your STELLAR face. Also, since we're on the subject, you can go buck wild and throw in a patterned pocket square if you want, OK? Now that we've got that off our chests, your RAP appearance in FreeSol's new "Role Model" video has us wanting you to ditch the suits altogether and start rocking the jeans, baseball jacket, and cap look ALL THE TIME. The suit look ignites our fash-brains, but this chameleon-like rapper tranfo'mation melts our girl-hearts.
