Last night's Glamour Women of the Year Awards drew in an outright PARADE of dramatic floor-length gowns fluttering down the red carpet. Not to discount the cocktail lengths or the token jumpsuit (we see you, Chelsea Handler), but with so much glittering femininity streaming past our oculars, we can't help but be hypnotized by the old-school glamour (haHA! *wink*) factor of a silhouette draped in miles of luxurious satins and chiffons. Of the ladies in attendance, our personal faves of the night were the ever-reliable Emma Stone, beautifully regal Lea Michele, and card-carrying glamazon Jennifer Lopez.
Best dressed list regular Emma Stone stepped out on the red carpet dripping in gobs of gold Lanvin togs. She chose a gorgeous (notably modified, BTW) Greek goddess-inspired silk gown from the label's 2012 Resort collection with two HIGH leg slits and electric pleats, and accessorized the ensemble with a Lanvin thick multichain necklace, golden egg clutch, and strappy leather pumps to boot.
Lea Michele was a vision in a shimmering champagne Jenny Packham dress. The bodice of her gown being so covered in embellishments, as is somewhat of a trademark for Packham, Lea opted for simple jewelry, wearing only two Tiffany & Co. rings. Soft curls with sideswept bangs, peachy cheeks, and a bold pink lip finished off the look.
J.Lo turned it OUT to epic cartoon wolf howl-inciting proportions in this bone-colored Atelier Versace showstopper to accept the All-Star Award, presented to her by Donatella herself. The high-drama gown features a gam-glorifying slit cut just below the pelvis that Jennifer rocked with so much "Jenny from the block" swag. Also, FULL-gown beading. DOUBLE also, a veritable waterfall of leather petals cascading from the nape of her neck, where a large flower sat perched at the dress's high-halter, to a pool where the last petals fanned out at the hemline. YOWWWWWZA.
