Miley Cyrus Gold Dress

• Apparently just being Miley this week means wearing flowing, floor-length golden gowns. Yes, Miley worked two Red Carpets with two gold designer dresses this week by Roberto Cavalli and Jenny Packham respectively. She just can't be tamed, y'all. We still cannot decide on our fave dress pick, but Miley's glam side French braid look definitely deserves a fashion-y golden ticket.

• Fact or fiction: It was a really good year for the wig/extension/the rainbow-colored-dye industry. FACT. From emerging Aussie rappers to fearless mega pop icons, no one was safe from major Rainbow Brite-on-ecstacy dizzying colors to Rapunzel-meets-Little Mermaid-meets-insert-Disney-character-of-your-choice floor-length weaves. Oh, what an unbeweave-able (heh) year it's been.

• Understatement of the year: We are obsessed with K-Pop girl group 2NE1 AND designer-for-all-major-pop-stars aka Jeremy Scott. Duh. This week, we sat down with 2NE1 and J. Scott backstage after 2NE1's BANANAS first U.S. performance. Warning: Lots of fierce blinged out nail art and cray hair styles were involved. *shivers* In other news, somehow, some way, we are still alive.

• Are you a fan of a chunky open-toed shoe, a pointy, punk-y pump, or a classic Louis Vuitton? Well, so are Elle Fanning and Gwen Stefani! Yep, we've got you covered in the best of this week's shoe porn department. You're totally welcome.

• Call it what you will, but we kind of heart Jared Leto's so-called rock star life slash mullet thing he's got going on. Especially when it's documented in glorious 360-degree detail by Terry Richardson.

Kanye West Versace Towels

Kanye West is baaaaaack, y'all! Well, on Twitter at least (no, he didn't rappel into our offices to come drink diet fountain soda with us [sad]). We were really starting to miss the producer/rapper/fashion designer/Roitfeld bestie/bon vivant RULL bad, especially his infamous beauty rants but thankfully he hit up Twitter yesterday for a good ol' Yeez tweet spree.

Turns out Twitter isn't just about broadcasting rando updates 24/7 ("OMGAWG I had a sandwich. It was turkey etc etc"), but it also functions as that one book "The Secret," and its special, special gospel. You basically ask for crap and it shall be FULFILLED (if you buhlee hard enough). As such, Kanye wrote about his Christmas wishlist. He tweeted in all caps "ALL I WANT 4 XMAS!" with a link to red Versace towels (see above) and then we took it a step further and investigated the price-tag (What? It sounds so much fancier than "Googled").

Dudes, a set costs $378! We figure with 5 million plus followers, one particularly wealthy fan will find a way to lace Kon with a special gift. Kanye should get everything he wants. Always. That way, everything will turn out perfectly. Forever.

Charlize Theron at the premiere of "Young Adult" in Los Angeles.
Photo: Splash News

Charlize Theron's new movie Young Adult opens this weekend, and we can't wait to see it. The movie poster alone of Miss Theron wearing hot pink sweatpants, a Kermit-green hoodie, and Hello Kitty T-shirt accessorized with a quilted pink bag and ubiquitous Pomeranian is hilarious and says so much about what this movie has in store for us. While the tagline "Everyone gets old, not everyone grows up," seems fitting for the movie, we happen to think the lovely Oscar winner is drinking from the fountain of youth. We don't need to speculate about the age of this bishness because, really, who cares in the end, and also, we want to look just like this whenever we get to whatever age this is. At the premiere of the movie, Charlize invoked her inner goddess and wore a sassy Stella McCartney number, perfect barely there makeup, simple hair, and a confident grin. She's had a busy week promoting the movie and had a few choice words to say about women in her age group who actually wear Hello Kitty T-shirts, namely that she doesn't get ALL.

Kreayshawn shows off new extensions.

And a happy Friday afternoon, to you TOO, Kreayshawn. It feels like we JUST fell in love with your newly aqua hair—excited by the technicolor wonder of it all and how it added another layer of urban swag meets cartoon to your entire getup. Now it looks like you've reverted to the tried and true black locks + blonde bangs combo that worked so well for you for months. (I mean, HAI, amazing i-D cover that we'll never, EVER forget.) This time, though, it's the bobbed length you're stepping away from, and we have to say, the long luscious look is wayyyy good on you, gurl.

Billionaire Girls Club

Confession: Everyone at MTV Style is kind of OBSESSED with Pharrell Williams. The N.E.R.D. frontman epitomizes the kind of effortless panache we live for over here! Whether he's rocking Chanel and a white tee or cutoffs and a military hat, it's clear he doesn't care what anyone thinks, and that's sososo cool. In fact, his penchant for setting trends with his UH-mazing Billionaire Boys Club designs has spawned a million Faux-rells who dress just like he does. (Three words: Trucker. Hat. Craze.) But what about the girls? Why can't we give OUR wardrobes the Pharrell makeover? For so long, we eagerly awaited our chance to rock jersey tanks, hoodies, and tees with super cool graphic logos and finally, our day has come. Billionaire Girls Club is officially here. *back flips*

There could be no Best of 2011 here at MTV Style without Lady Gaga. (Paws UP!) A true chameleon and total renegade style-slaya of the highest order, Mother Monster makes our jobs so much easier every time she steps onto the stage or street. Every moment of Gaga's life is a style moment, as you little monsters know, and Mama loves to turn it UP and OUT from head-to-soul-to-toe with every single ensemble. This year alone we've witnessed everything from pantlessness and icicle eyebrows to an Armani zombie and futuristic Paco Rabanne fashion parade. It was tough to choose just 10 looks (wooo-eeee, we were stuck in the deliberation chamber forEVS trying to lock this bizness down), but we've narrowed down Gaga's best style moments of the year. We think you'll agree that even though practically every outfit is Best Of-worthy, that these beauties have something extra special.

It's no secret that Lady Gaga loves Versace. Earlier this year, she told a German TV program that she was having a love affair with the brand and had been given access to rarely seen pieces from the archives thanks to Donatella Versace. She rocked out several multi-print, hyper-color ensembles throughout the year, but the all-over Versace outfit she wore to celebrate Lady Gaga Day in Taiwan was truly something else. A lovably garish mix of tomato red, loud leopard print, gold buttons, and old-skool bell-bottom swing pants accessorized with a matching leopard bag, sky high spiked platforms, and a hat that featured a twisted braid of her dual colored hair, this hodgepodge Versace fantasy number was a CRAY-tastic masterpiece.

Looks from Madewell's spring 2012 collection
Photo: Courtesy of

In the few short years that Madewell has opened across the country and online, it has become the new go-to for relaxed, style-minded basics. Honestly, we don't know what we'd do without them, their fantastic sales, nor their perfect jeans. J.Crew's younger, cooler sister consistently produces pieces you want to own, items that you can layer or build upon to create a unique look. And thanks to the fine folks over at Lucky magazine, who got an exclusive sneak-peek at the spring 2012 collection, we'll get to look forward to longer prairie skirts, hyper color mix 'n' match prints, and subtle shots of neon in the warmer months. What's more, there were plenty of ensembles that can inspire what we're all wearing right now too.

Odd Future Christmas Tees

Put down the bedazzled ironic holiday sweater and get your Christmas hipster chic on, thanks to Odd Future and their monthlong L.A. pop-up shop, which will feature two screen-printed Christmas tees designed by the OFWGKTA crew. The two tees showcase naughty nutcrackers and a gingerbread man like you've NEVER seen him before. These NSFW designs really aren't all THAT surprising considering the hip-hop dudes have an affinity for courting a little controversy, who, P.S., boast Mr. Freestylin' Provocateur aka Eminem himself's full "the dudes can rhyme" support. The tees will only be available at the L.A.-based pop-up shop, which will only be open for a month, so you better hurry if you want to get your hands on some Odd Future-designed tees. (Psst: We totally dare you to wear the gingerbread shirts to your grandparents on Christmas Eve, enthusiastically offer to say "Grace" and report back to us. *DEAD* Just don't expect anything but coal in your X-Mas stocking this year! *Makes spiked eggnog, kicks off Doc Martens, and watches Bad Santa DVD* #TeamOddFuture

Fashion Bloggers Winter Scarves

Veronica Ferraro, Lini Trinh, and Lena Petersson.

If there's one super simple (and adorable) way to beat the cold this winter, it's with a ginormous scarf. An oversized knit can instantly transform any outfit in a snap, and even Mom will approve of this trend because it's sosososo warm! We love how scarves completely changed these girls' outfits from just plain cool to incredibly eye-popping ensembles. It's seriously amazing what one piece of thick fabric can do, so take note! Buy a long knit in a bold color, drape it over a solid coat or sweater, and voilà! You'll look street smart AND street chic.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
