HALLELUJAH! Just in time to satiate my burning Beyoncé withdrawals, the one and only Miss Knowles has finally made her first post-pregnancy appearance since giving birth to Blue Ivy Carter early last month. The glowing new mommy stepped out last night for hubby Jay-Z's monumental performance at Carnegie Hall, his first ever on the legendary stage. Though surely not the same kind of red carpet reveal as her late June announcement at the 2011 VMAs, we're sure Bey scrutinized the fashions that would mark this epic night as well.
Queen Bey shows off her post-Blue Ivy figure in a scarlet curve-hugging ALICE by Temperley dress. The long sleeves and knee-length hem make this frock Carnegie Hall-appropriate while the plunging neckline and strategic ruching radiating from her midline prove that mama's still got it even after sleepless nights of burping, changing, and feeding Baby Blue. Beyoncé kicks up the glamour for her first night out in a month with a pair of lavishly embroidered Christian Louboutin pumps (with a sensibly thicker heel, mind you) and regal touches of gold and sapphire jewelry by Ofira and Lorraine Schwartz.
Our favorite accessory Beyoncé sported last night, though, (besides Jigga himself, of course) was a gilded, sequined, and studded hard case clutch by Alexander McQueen with an ornate, almost Thai-inspired skull kisslock. We're honestly STILL swooning about it. And what's more, it brought our attention straight to her solid cobalt manicure and reminded us of that "IV" ring finger tattoo she and Hov got inked in place of wedding bands and how, in conjunction, it's as if Mama Bey was able to take her baby with her to Daddy's big event. *flicks away single happy tear* But wait...who IS babysitting Blue Ivy? We're going to put our bets on new grandma Tina Knowles, but if there's an application for the job, we would gladly fill out several and block off entire months for an evening of bottled milk and puréed food with the little princess. Call us: We can even give references! xoxo
