The weather is starting to warm up, which means we can finally (hopefully? *crosses fingers*) ditch our huge winter coats for lighter outwear. One of our favorite pieces for spring is the varsity jacket! It adds instant schoolgirl charm to any ensemble plus a pop of vibrant color. It can be worn with literally everything—a frilly pleated skirt, a T-shirt dress, harem pants—you name it, it can be done. We spotted three ladies who showed off the sporty jacket in the most cop-worthy of ways so you can transition into summer stylishly!
Lua P. of Le Happy
Lua is one of those girls that we can't help but go ga-ga over. She is the master of mixing up her wardrobe to create fun, new outfits on a regular basis. We love her take on the varsity jacket—she wore a T-shirt as a dress paired with polka dot tights and killer VJ wedges. Also, hai, can we have that hair, please?
Patrycja Kieliszek of Never Enough Fashion
Blog: neverenoughfashion.blogspot.com. Twitter: @neverenoughpl.
Patrycja hails from Poland and has a cool, girly style that we seriously adore. She sported a maroon and leather varsity jacket with a light pink tee, layered black and pink pleated skirt, black tights, loafers, and a black scarf. We love this preppy meets ballerina look!
Yuka I. of Pretty In Leather
Blog: prettyinleather.blogspot.com. Twitter: @yukasaur.
Um, first off, how badass is Yuka? This L.A. fashion designer makes us all weep with envy in pure admiration for her outfits. (No seriously, look at her blog right this second.) She put together a casual-cool ensemble with a Forever 21 varsity jacket, vintage striped shirt, Boy. by Band of Outsiders jeans, red Nike sneakers, and amazing white Celine sunglasses.
