Look, we're not gonna lie, when Chloe Sevigny wears something rad, gets interviewed by Tavi, or allows the public to peek into her closet, we're on it like a pack of Haribos during fashion week. This includes any and every hair transformation that takes place whether for a movie role or pure style enjoyment. Thus, when Miss S was spotted leaving a Miu Miu store in downtown NYC—her hair considerably shorter and lighter—we had to stop everything we were doing to discuss this momentous occasion. And we wouldn't dream of getting all wordy about it without you. Did we mention a stolen car is involved?
Back in October, Chloe debuted long chocolate locks (and matching brows) at the Kenzo show during Paris Fashion Week. Quite the departure from her usual blonde, we discovered that the change was due to a movie role in which she plays an accused murderess. (Sidenote: Why do killers always seem to have dark hair in movies? Something to ponder.) A month later, she appeared to have gone for a Terry Richardson 'do, but that ended up being a wig. But sometime around January, she cut her hair to her cheekbones, her bangs to above the brows, and went back to a darker shade of gold, which, frankly, was something entirely new. But this new new hair is a more extreme version of that cut. We love the lighter color (#springtime) and wish we could pull off this length. It works with her all-black leather jacketed ensemble and fits with her always kewl, downtown aesthetic. It even looks good when she discovers her Trans-Am has been stolen, per a cameo she has in Lissy Trullie's new video. But what say you? Do you like this extreme bob with blunt cut fringe?
