Looking to spice up your life? You may already know that The Spice Girls are reuniting for their Viva Forever! musical, BUT according the Huffington Post UK, a piece of the girls' iconic performance wardrobe MIGHT be up for grabs! While nothing is confirmed, several publications are reporting that the girls' unforgettable, star-making togs could be going up for auction at a gala to coincide with the launch of the musical, and the proceeds (if we're really in store for a Girl Power bid-out) would benefit non-profits Save The Children and Children In Need.
Posh Spice a.k.a. Victoria Beckham allegedly revealed to The Mirror, "I’ve got all my costumes still," adding that she'd like for her daughter Harper to eventually have some. The Mirror also reports that Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell’s infamous Union Jack dress is currently on display at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas, so it likely won't be a part of the auction, but that Geri would be donating some basque-style minidresses instead (Coco Perez, though, seems to think differently).
The story continues to say that Posh will offer up many of her tight black leather and PVC dresses and Scary Spice would auction off her leopard-print onesies. Mel C's trademark Sporty Spice adidas tracksuits and crop tops and Emma Bunton's a babydoll shift dresses would also make the auction list. Personally, we would love to get our hands on those springy metal cones Mel B always used to wear in her hair. Talk about iconic '90s! Whether the rumors are true or not, we can't wait to see what the latest iterations of Spice costuming Viva Forever! holds in store, and we're sure people will continue DIYing their own Union Jack minis (or, you know, buying the ones Geri designs herself) regardless!
