There's no question the The xx's new album Coexist is a breathtaking musical trip. But if you're looking for some visuals to complement the already-amazing audio experience, then Urban Outfitters is here to help. The retail giant has joined forces with the U.K. band on a brand-new 'zine which debuts in UO stores nationwide this week. Shot by famed music photographer Jamie-James Medina (known for his intimate portraits of everyone from Taylor Swift to Lady Gaga), The Tourist marks the third collab between the shutterbug and the musical trio in which he follows the group all over the world. According to Jamie, " It’s the perfect environment to capture music and musicians in their natural state — on the road, away from home. I wanted to create a publication that showcased exclusive, high-end photography in an affordable zine-format, so we created The Tourist."
Filled with lo-fi images, candid travel snaps, and backstage portraits from shows in Japan, Australia, and France, the 'zine is allllllmost like we're right there on the road with The xx. So until we can actually score a spot on the band's tour bus (unlikely), The Tourist is the next best thing. And the fact that you can pick it up the next time you're on the hunt for a new pair of printed jeans? That makes this convenient collab EVEN cooler.
