First things first: We've been listening to Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble," the latest single from her upcoming album Red, on repeat in the most serious way ever since it was released. We might need an intervention soon, we'll let you know. To put it lightly, we are REALLY excited to hear the full album, and have October 22nd circled on our calendars (in red, duh). We also have another way to celebrate the release now, thanks to our favorite sneakers, Keds. The classic footwear brand announced this morning that they are signing Taylor for a three year collaborative deal, as they re-launch their brand as a women's only label. We've been wearing pair after pair of white Keds' Champions into the ground for years (although not that many pairs, they last a long time given the abuse we put them through), as have some of our fashion icons (most notably Sleigh Bells singer Alexis Krauss), but we might just have to switch up our color preference now that we've seen the first pair Taylor is coming out with. The sneaks, which are being released on the same day as her record, are, you guessed it, red!
Although the exact pricing information has not yet been released, Keds will typically run you between $45 and $65. The brand is switching up their image in the coming years, moving from a unisex company to just focusing on women. Given their popularity among ladies of all ages, we think this is a really solid move. I mean, does anyone else remember "In Those Keds," the song Ray and Charlie sing to Marnie in an episode of HBO's Girls? Classic. Taylor is similar, in that her appeal, both musical and otherwise, spans all ages.
How much do you love Tay's Keds?
