Ever since former Dior Homme creative director Hedi Slimane took over Yves Saint Laurent last summer, the French fashion house has slowly transformed into Hedi's complete vision for the brand. Not only did he change the iconic YSL name to Saint Laurent Paris, but his use of bold black and white portraits showcasing his favorite musicians (like Citizens! frontman Tom Burke) in tailored Saint Laurent pieces has upped the cool factor in a way that we love. The spring 2013 campaign hit the web yesterday, and Hedi featured longtime friend (and MTV Style favorite!) Beck. We totally spazzed out as we clicked through the photos (which also feature British model Edie Campbell) for a totally rock-n-roll-meets-couture spread that we're obsessed with. In one look (above), Beck sports a chambray shirt with a loose skinny tie, fringe suede jacket and tousled blonde strands. Me-ow!
In another photo, Beck looks seriously cool in a floppy fedora, sunglasses, and tuxedo while perched on a plush chair. (Can all guys wear this outfit to black tie events please? Kthxbi.) In another close-up shot (below), Beck smizes in the same '70s-inspired hat and a sleek all-black suit, shirt and tie ensemble. #dead But, um, is anyone else thinking what we're thinking? Hedi's menswear show is coming up within the next couple weeks, meaning he's going to need a killer catwalk track for all pieces... and we hope it involves Beck! *crosses fingers* Until then, peep even more pics from the Saint Laurent spring 2013 campaign on their Facebook, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
