Actresses at the 2013 Golden Globes may have struck a somber note in a sea of black dresses, but tonight's Screen Actors Guild Awards? AHEM, that's a different story. These gowns are so awesomely bright, we practically have to squint at our screens to get a real look at the highlighter hues on the red carpet—so chalk it up to the warm weather, call it the Chloe Moretz effect, whatever—we're into it. Lea Michele, Nina Dobrev, and Freida Pinto all stepped out in eye-popping gowns, each rocking a unique take on the bubblegum hue with statement details, sleek silhouettes, and peekaboo panels. Sure, Molly Ringwald might have the ~official~ bragging rights to being Pretty In Pink, but these three ladies give her a serious run for her money in these rosy ensembles.
Lea led the pack in a shimmery strapless Valentino gown with a structured bodice and flowing skirt. She kept things simple with three essentials: pink teardrop earrings, shiny straight hair, and a sunkissed glow. Check, check, check! Then there's Nina Dobrev, who looked predictably glam (seriously, when does she NOT, though?) in an Elie Saab. With short sleeves and a placement sheer panel, the Vampires Diaries star strikes an easy balance between classic silhouettes and modern, fresh details. Freida Pinto rounded out the trio in a sanguine Roland Mouret number adorned with black details and a draped cowl neck. We're loving the dress enough as it is, but the faux bob (she's pinned up her long locks underneath) REALLY makes this vintage-inspired look complete.
Three girls, three different fuchsia frocks: who worked the trend best?!
