Grammys 2013 Red Carpet Fashion Live Blog!

8:39 PM — You guys, we're done backstage. And completely pooped. Thanks for joining us tonight for the 55th annual Grammys Awards. Congrats to all the winners and the sartorial stars. I am going to eat EVERYTHING. Bye.

7:44 PM — Whoa projection mapping on Carrie Underwood's dress.

6:40 PM — I love this soothing performance between Rihanna and Mikky Ekko. Such an incredible palette cleanser.

6:09 PM —If Justin Timberlake brings it on down to omelette town I will die of happiness.

5:55 PM — WHEW, now that the red carpet is wrapped let's pick up with the show! Johnny Depp's bedraggled buccaneer bespectacled steez is so reassuring.

4:53 PM — And that's FORREAL a wrap in the official Grammy's red carpet live blog. Whew it was a doozy at 5 hours. I'm going to kick off my shoes so damned fast. Bleg.

4:51 PM — Alicia Keys in custom Alaia. It looks like she was SEWN INTO IT. Swizz on that train assist. They're being ushered into the house with the quickness.

4:47 PM — Drake in a Saint Laurent tuxedo. "They're cutting their jackets shorter and I love it." The carpet is officially closed but the show couldn't possibly start without this dude.

4:45 PM — Carpet's closed. Katy just made it in skintight green Gucci with a healthy décolletage.

4:42 PM — Beyonce in a white and black Osman Yousefzada ensemble dashed by so she could get to her seat. Just another couple minutes and it's show time.

4:38 PM — Rihanna with long tousled locks and a bright red dress. Another train for the red carpet. It's logistically dicey for all these cords but bully for the gumption. Seriously.

4:34 PM — RiRi's heeeeeeere.

4:30 PM — I've officially become Karlie's personal photographer. No complaints here. We DO have to talk about Kelly Rowland's dress. It's 360 peekaboo. Her body astounds. I can't wrap my brain around it.

4:26 PM — He did wear those spectacular Prada studded creepers though. Nothing like a red carpet to set 'em off.

4:25 PM — Miguel in a stark white Lanvin suit that was suspiciously absent from his rack that we shot yesterday! We see you Jasmine.

4:21 PM — Kat Dennings is here with her cowl-neck adoring date. She's wearing Vivienne Westwood sequins. "We had to do a little tailoring with the ruching to bring in the waist." If only we all had such "problems." *sad trombone*

4:18 PM — It's not just the makeup either, her nails are flawless. White with gold speckles which just happens to match her jewelry.

4:16 PM — Jennifer Lopez is here. In what she dubs a simple but classic black, one shouldered Anthony Vaccarello. She is owning a precise cat's eye.

4:11 PM — J.Lo is here and we know it because we can HEAR IT. They're screaming at the top of their lungs.

4:08 PM — These two loving and preening over each other. Total mutual adoration society.

4:06 PM — So I 100% thought that Florence's sequined green dress was trompe l'oeil but it's legit covered in conical protrusions. It's Givenchy and captivating.

3:56 PM — Nasty Nas in a contrast collar Brioni tux with a diamond chain detail at the pocket. Adore how many classic black tie situations we're seeing.

3:52 PM — Of course we had to take a group shot. Also, LOL at how beyond geeked Karlie is. She totally nudged me to snap this. I so want to turn this into a fridge magnet.

3:47 PM — Frank Ocean is dressed in monochrome blue. It's a Dior varsity jacket that's a blazer hybrid. I cannot.

3:45 PM — fun.'s arrived. Dressed all in Dior.

3:34 PM — Ricky Rozay in a custom tailored Tom Ford tuxedo and diamond, studded, vintage Cazals. He looks beautiful. Not a typical adjective to describe the man but you HAVE to see this suit IRL. The tailoring and the fabric are sublime.

3:22 PM — Wiz and Amber are BOTH glowing. Mama Rosebud is wearing Donna Karan.

3:14 PM — Lovebirds Kat Von D and Deadmau5. He's wearing a studded leather UNIF jacket and she's wearing beautiful red, suede Alexander McQueen shoes. Obviously I caught a close-up.

3:12 PM — Trey Songz in a beautiful Moschino satin tux.

3:07 PM — 2 Chainz is here and, well, WEARING a Versace cape and beaded, patent leather shoes. Because #ofcourse

2:58 PM — Janelle Monae's peak lapels are flooded in studs. It's a Moschino tuxedo jacket and features tails. The stiff brimmed chapeau is RL. The makeup is flawless.

2:55 PM — Riff Raff x Nelly love fest.

2:50 PM — AJKFDHGALDKFJAGH. Found Timberlake. Hyperventilating. He's on that monochrome Tom Ford suit and tie s*** tonight.

2:42 PM — JT is here. SOMEWHERE. I am clamoring to find him.

2:40 PM — Steve Aoki is here in Kenzo and Jeremy Scott. His pants are GLORIOUS. Yasaharu Mihara and iridescent camouflage. Sunglasses are Celine.

2:08 PM — Carly Rae Jepsen is wearing a spectacular beaded, strapless, sweetheart neckline Roberto Cavalli floor-length dress with a slight train. It shimmers like it's under water. Also, we're really loving her mani and H. Stern jewelry.

1:59 PM — Lupe Fiasco is in head-to-TOE Y-3.

1:57 PM — Alexa Chung in a sweet, floral Valentino dress. "It's the only dress I could fit my mic pack on." The sparklers in her hair are Chanel earrings. She's also wearing the most perfect matte red lipstick. "It's so hard to tell of I've got it all over my teeth." We feel you girl.

1:35 PM — Kimbra and Gotye both repping Australian designers for the night.
Jaime Lee Major for her and Jack London for him. This dress is a tulle souffle with gorgeous beading suspended throughout. Also love her victory roll hair do with a full blitz cheese smile. SO CUTE.

1:27 PM — Sean Paul brandishing a Mohawk, aviators, Versace Medusa medallion and Viktor and Rolf metallics.

1:18 PM — Questo is here in all black and a pop of color by way of a Dee + Ricky Lego heart pin.

1:03 PM — Kelly Osbourne's Paule Ka black halter dress was already outrageous but you add these nails and this hair??! Girl's a vision! Feel free to ignore the mic cube. *hissing feline sounds* JKJKJK etc. etc.

12:49 PM — Estelle in a STUNNING fishtail, midriff-baring Love Collins and Janelle Brooks. The pattern is unreal.

12:47 PM — Our lovely and beautiful red carpet correspondent just hit the red carpet in head-to-toe Michael Kors.

12:41 PM — Skrillex is here dipped in head-to-toe black. Fred Perry jacket and black leather vans.

12:20 PM — I can't with how delicious Diplo consistently looks. Burberry shirt, Givenchy suit, Louboutin shoes. They're trimmed in zipper teeth!

12:11 PM — Ashanti is here in a backless, cap-sleeve beaded and embroidered Tony Ward and Saint Laurent Paris shoes.

7:09 AM — I'm excited to see what Karlie's wearing. We got to see our MTV area at yesterday's rehearsal and it's going to be a full scene. Lol one of my favorite things about the walk-through is all the stand-ins.

7:01 AM — According to the bathroom mirror at the Standard downtown I am a fetching shade of grey.

6:31 AM — Oof, getting up at 6:30 to start primping for a red carpet event is ROUGH.

Crack your knuckles and work out those neck cricks because TODAY is the day of the 2013 Grammys, and you're going to need your wits about you. "Why?" you ask. Welp, of aaaall the celebratory, accolade-doling events of the winter awards show season, the Grammys are hands down the most outrageous. With a history steeped in jaw-dropping sartorial moments from Jennifer Lopez's infamous décolletage flaunting Versace to Lady Gaga's Hussein Chalayan incubator vessel, we're going all silent movie villain finger-twiddling in anticipation of the 2013 Grammys red carpet. Even if there's a dress code this year.

What's more, on top of our colorful live blog commentary, our very own House of Style co-host Karlie Kloss is joining MTV News' Sway Calloway and James Montgomery and giving exclusive fashion commentary live from the step-and-repeat.
