Despite its name, menswear is so totally NOT just for guys. We've been fans of stealing style ideas from the boys on the runway for a while now, but now Ciara has one-upped us all by lifting a pair of outfits straight from the Givenchy men's catwalk! And she looks AMAZING, we might add. Immediately after sitting front row at Riccardo Tisci's Paris Fashion Week womenswear show last month, Ciara stopped by Music Choice’s SWRV TV Network in New York City sporting a printed jacket from the men's Resort 2013 line. Splashed with an updated military pattern, there's NO arguing that this luxe bomber adds a decidedly masculine edge to the rest of her all-black outfit. We love how the topper's oversize fit complements her super skinny leather pants and heeled boots...and these perfectly opposite proportions are one of the reasons menswear on ladies works so well.

But proving that this isn't just a one-time thing, Ciara cemented her style pro status again last week at Haze nightclub dressed in another menswear ensemble. Her second outfit is a much more literal take on Givenchy's multi-layered Spring 2013 look, so bear with us while we unpack it: as you can tell, she wore the same boxy Madonna motif t-shirt that strutted down the catwalk back in May over a similar knee-length tunic in white. But that's definitely not all that's happening here, since she replicated the matching skinny pants thing from the runway, too. Although the star opted for sneakers instead of the sandals (which was a good call this time, if you ask us), the styling here is otherwise identical. Bold move, huh?! Major kudos to the singer— there aren't many other girls who can rock these so-called "masculine" pieces with the same glamorous ease as, say, a leather minidress— but she pulls it off in a huge way. If Ciara's gorgeous interpretation of the menswear shows is any indication, hopefully it's only a matter of time before more lady celebs follow suit. In the meantime, guys, watch your backs (and your closets!).
