She might currently be busy ruling the Cannes red carpet and doing airport fashion better than anyone in LWDs, but thanks to W magazine, even those of us NOT at the swanky international film festival can still get our Emma Watson fix. Well, on the newsstand, anyway, since The Bling Ring star is the publication's June cover girl! The actress is looking quite the leading lady in a charcoal gray Louis Vuitton jacket and a gorgeous, flushed beauty look (holy cheekbones!). Peer a little closer, though, and you'll see she's also working teeny peekaboo shorts, fishnet tights, and some major diamond and gold bling. Chic but not stuffy and grown-up yet still fresh, the sophisticated spread is the perfect introduction to Emma's next chapter. And judging from the images below, it's going to be AWESOME.
Emma might favor wild prints and abbreviated cuts on the red carpet, but the W editorial shows the star working a decidedly more adult look in a retro-inspired frock by Erdem. Between the long leather gloves, perfect curls and velvet Prada heels, this is Old Hollywood glam at its finest. Plus, is anyone else getting shivers from her Hitchcock heroine-esque side profile and Louis Vuitton overcoat on the right? Um, wow.
If there's anyone who can singlehandedly persuade us that we want—no, need—luxe gloves this winter, it's Emma. The shorter version above comes courtesy of Marc Jacobs, and adds a pop of nostalgic allure to her sleeveless Chanel dress. Sure, the actress may have stayed in her wannabe bad-girl character for that recent GQ cover, but THIS time around? The editorial is way truer to a grown-up version of Emma herself...just give her a couple of years.
