There are so many things to look forward to about The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, but of course we're most focused on the COSTUMES, and in particular, the rich, eccentric fashion of the Capitol. We're not alone in that, and to quench our desperate thirst for more peeks at the opulent amazingness that are the Capitol costumes, the filmmakers have relaunched their Capitol Couture Tumblr—this time with more info than ever! The site, which will post a new collection of content, or issue, every season, features character profiles, guides to Capitol fashion, and designer profiles—just to name a few things on this rich site. (Be warned: You really can just explore for hours.) We showed you the site's Capitol portraits, but at the time we had no idea how much more Capitol fashion we would be getting! As you know, costume designer Trish Summerville is pulling the looks for the Capitol straight from the runway, and so there's A LOT for us to look forward to. So far we know that the designer has pulled everyone from Alexander McQueen to Tex Saverio and, in the inaugural issue of Capitol Couture Issue One: Chroma Nouveau, there's even an interview with Nicholas K.
What more is to come from Capitol Couture? Well, we know one thing for sure: they're going to be the first place we'll look for info on CoverGirl's much-anticipated Capitol Collection. And one last thing, because yes, it can get MORE awesome: you can participate in the Capitol Couture radness by joining in on challenges, in which users are asked to post pictures of their own Capitol-inspired looks and tag them with a specific hashtag (it varies with each challenge). The best users end up on the site!
So, what is your favorite part of Capitol Couture?
