For those of you who may have missed it, let me catch you up. Tonight, courtesy of the 2013 BET Awards, we were privileged to watch a mind boggling R.Kelly medley performance. It kicked off with an unexpected chorus, breaking the fourth wall and filing in the aisles singing back-and-forth across the attendees, but it was Kelz himself that really took the performance into overdrive. Without actually settling on one record, Robert moved effortlessly between songs, hit after hit after hit. What's sticking with me, though, is that bananas all-over gold spike stud ensemble. And how much it reminds me of Bowser. You know, from Super Mario Bros.
OK, so the comparison is a loose one, but who else were we going to bring up? Who else can you even liken this 'fit to? Have you ever seen this many studs on one human in your life? I can't say that I have. And don't get me wrong, folks. I'm not mad about it. If anything, I'm impressed. That's a lot of hardware, and there's no way that thing is a light wear. Take a closer look. Not only are there are studs all over Kelz's hat from the crown to the bill, but nearly every inch of his leather moto jacket is dripping with the prickly stuff from front to back. After the initial shock, the first thing that jumped to MY mind was the spiked out Super Mario villain, but I'm definitely open to suggestions.
