Back in May, Katy Perry announced her latest fragrance Killer Queen seemingly out of, well, nowhere. Like, she legit tweeted, "OK! I have been working on my 3rd fragrance for over a year & want to unveil the look NOW! What do u think?!" with a link to her scepter-inspired bottle. Just when we were gettin' a handle on it, she dropped may-juh news on what it would smell like ("sophisticated but still super sexy") and when it'd hit stores (August!) followed by THE most insane campaign image of all time—a photo of Ms. Perry perched atop a fallen throne decked out in THE sickest duds. *bows down* Today, we got even MORE Killer Queen amazingness—this time in the form of a 9-second commercial teaser!
In it, we see a VERY Marie Antoinette-inspired KP. She sported a sky-high powdered white wig with matching white eyebrows, smoky lids, and light burgundy lips. Katy brought back the ensemble from her initial Killer Queen campaign—a satin red corset dress with a bustled tulle and fur and chain collar. #WERK We also got a peek at her gorge crimson half moon mani, which matched perfectly with her royal red ensemble.
