Drake has been REALLY excited about words lately. I mean, the man can’t stop wearing them. Remember that big hookah party scene in the “Started From The Bottom” video when Drizzy and his whole posse were wearing shirts emblazoned with the song title? (Words.) And then there was that time when he wore his “Nothing Was The Same” baseball jersey on the red carpet at the VMAs. (Words.) And that photo (above) from his Instagram last week? OK, you get the gist. Basically, he’s been wearing giant word prints for a while now, and TBH, it’s not a terrible way to pump people up about your new material—especially when logo-mania is having a major #FASHUN moment.

Drake’s third studio album, Nothing Was the Same, leaked online a few days ago, but since the official release isn't until September 24th, Drizzy and his OVO crew are holding a one-day pop-up shop in Toronto, L.A. and New York City to keep the hype machine rolling. What will they be selling at said pop-up shop, you ask? … WORDS! I think.
On the flier posted on OVO’s website today, Drake & co. promise “Nothing Was The Same" gear “compliments of the company,” which I’m preeeeetty sure (and/or hopeful) means free. No word (heh) yet on what kind of clothing will be up for grabs, but personally, I'm gunning for a "Pound Cake"-emblazoned black varsity jacket. With leather sleeves. Kthx.
Will you hit up Drake’s pop-up? What kind of swag are you hoping to snag?
