Rad Nails x Sleigh Bells

One of the things most frequently associated with rock 'n' roll is nail art. JK. Well-manicured digits are hard to maintain when you're thrashing a guitar, but it looks like nail art has finally made its way to the merch table anyway—thanks to Sleigh Bells' Alexis Krauss and Rad Nails (founded by MTV Style alum Chrissy Mahlmeister, NBD *hair flip*). With the help of her nail artist, Ria Lopez, Krauss has designed a killer set of custom nail wraps inspired by Sleigh Bells' most recent album, Bitter Rivals, and we are PUMPED.
"I had loved what Chrissy was doing," Krauss told Nylon, "and one day I was brainstorming with Ria about how we could incorporate band merch that was also really friendly to women. I think merchandise tends to be a very male-dominated world, and a lot of girls come to our shows. I wanted to do something for them that's different than a T-shirt or a tank."
The wraps, which Krauss debuted during a performance on Jimmy Kimmel in October, are emblazoned with tiger stripes, skulls, and gnarly pink splatters. Not sure if you have the #SKILLZ to apply the wraps yourself? Don't stress—even Krauss understands that it can be a seriously frustrating labor of love (and she has her own personal nail artist). "Nail art takes practice and you have to take the time and be patient," she says. "That's what I'm trying to do. But luckily, Rad Nails makes it easy for everyone who's traveling like me, or doesn't have a Ria to do it for you!" Seriously, though, you apply these things with a three-step process: stick, fold, file. SO EASY.
You can snag the Rad Nails x Sleigh Bells custom nail wraps now over here, or pick them up at the merch table on a tour stop near you!
