Miley Cyrus, never one to shy away from making a statement, decided to wear her
heart opinion on her sleeves today in a pro same-sex marriage Marc by Marc Jacobs T-shirt. The top depicts a presumably lesbian couple in black dresses with their child in matching threads and reads, "I pay my taxes, I want my rights." Wanna know how we know for sure that it's Miley (besides the fact that she posted the pic on her Twitter #tongue)? The tell-tale tat on her left forearm. But mostly because #tongue.
Naturally, seeing as how she's BFFs with the designer himself, the top she's showing off is pretty rare. Jacobs put out around 200 pieces of the limited-edition run, which came out in 2009 and also included a similar tee with the same slogan in red-and-blue font, adorned with a dollar sign and an American flag. Miley has long been a supporter of MJ and gay rights (she got a small "equals" sign tattooed on her middle finger in 2011), so the vintage shirt is par for the course. (IDK if it's ~totally~ legit to call 2009 vintage just yet, but you know our girl loves her throwbacks.)
