Emma Stone on the cover of 'Vogue.'
After running one of the magazine's most controversial covers ever (more like #WORLDSMOSTTALKEDABOUTCOVER, amirite??), Vogue is playing it a little safer with their May issue. Of course, safe doesn’t mean boring, especially in the case of two-time cover star Emma Stone. The 25-year-old actress opens up about everything, from never having watched Easy A to referring to herself as “that bland basic b****” after a Google search of herself yielded that description. Basically, she confirms her reputation as someone you’d want as your BFF. Emma is also down to earth when it comes to her style—she doesn’t even think she’s influential in that respect. But, umm, Em, we politely disagree with you. Case in point: any time she hits a red carpet and, obviously, her two Vogue covers.
On the May cover, Emma joins the sartorial ranks of Beyonce as one of the rare people who can pull off a leather cap. Trust me, it’s not as easy as it looks. *debates whether to risk ordering one for the second time* Emma pairs her chapeau with an abstract, spotted pre-Fall Gucci dress that fantastically matches her hair.

Inside the magazine, she poses for a classic L.A.-themed shoot, wearing a Dior haute couture dress with a Van Cleef & Arpels necklace, all while sitting on the countertop of a midcentury coffee shop. The idea might sound forced on paper but Emma executes it with grace and poise. If you’re lucky enough to own Dior haute couture, though, we wouldn’t recommend trying this at home.
