Yesterday, when we checked in with with Iggy Azalea, the rapper was Instagramming her Scarface-themed tour wardrobe. Today on Good Morning America, where she performed her collaborative hit “Fancy” with Charli XCX, she returned to the song’s Clueless roots. Though she, Charli, and their dancers ditched their renditions of Cher’s iconic yellow plaid outfit, they kept the high school vibe and their killer coordination on-point with white and black outfits.
True to Iggy’s album title, The New Classic (out today, BTW), she wore an updated take on an old mod style: the checkered suit. Charli meanwhile opted for a grungier look with a diamond-print body-con dress, tights with baroque garter trim, a leather biker jacket, and platform combat boots. The rest of their dancers coordinated their grunge go-go outfits with Charli, wearing sleeveless, diamond-print tanks with a turtleneck, buckled booties with knee-highs, and white skorts that land closer on the spectrum to Iggy’s Scarface dresses. Gonna go out on a limb here and say that Iggy should just commission a mashup between the two films for her next performance outfit. A girl can dream, right?
