We usually prefer not to comment on rumors, but last month when we heard Lana Del Rey had signed a contract to be the new face of H&M, we just HAD to say SOMETHING. Well, turns out it was true!! Lana will be the face of the fall campaign, and will also appear in the company's holiday advertisements. In the first image from the campaign (above), Lana poses coyly in a peach colored sweater and matching pants. We love this textured take on monochrome *takes out notebook and jots down ideas,* and her stiletto nails are to die for. We're also glad to see that Lana's ever-growing hair shows no sign that it's going to deflate any time soon. Sources say that the campaign will also include a TV spot, and a cover of "Blue Velvet." Amazing.
As fashion's newest muse, Lana del Rey already has bragging rights to a namesake Mulberry bag, an amazing Met Gala outfit (yeah, we're still obsessed...), AND a major modeling contract. Clearly that's not enough for the New York singer, because she's just scored the cover of VOGUE Japan, officially taking her covetable style cred to the next level. She posted two photos of the spread to Twitter on May 28, tweeting "beautiful" to the magazine and to Cartier, who provided much of the jewelry for the shoot. Photographed by Sean & Seng, the ultra-glam feature showcases del Rey sprawled out sporting her signature pointy nails, nude lips and swoopy cat-eye liner, and dripping in statement jewelry.

OK, it's official. Lana Del Rey is EVERYWHERE. The "Video Games" chanteuse's incandescent rise to fame has become a cross-continental event. Not only has she arrived stateside in a sort of Lana-Turner-plucked-from-the-stool-of-a-diner sort of way, she's a total sensation over in the U.K. now, too. Case in point, the cover of British Vogue. Not to shout it or anything, but this is MAYJAHHH. Shot by world renowned photo king Mario Testino wearing a gorgeous yellow broderie anglaise blouse from Louis Vuitton's spring collection, Del Rey looks like a retro Hollywood starlet in an art deco jeweled hairpiece and cat eyes but keeps her trademark Brooklyn hipstah cred with a three-fingered matte sparkle knuckle ring. Also? British Vogue thinks she's "Oh so pretty!" and also fascinating. What else did they have to say?
