Jennifer Lawrence on the cover of the April issue "Seventeen" magazine.

For the love of Cinna, Jennifer Lawrence is on the cover of the April issue of Seventeen magazine! Why are we so amped up and resorting to mouth-breathing right now? Well, for one, because The Hunger Games is mere WEEKS away. (Did you get your tickets for March 23rd yet? DO. IT.) And, secondly, because Jennifer Lawrence seems to be going for a total anti-Katniss Everdeen look on the cover of the mag by wearing TIE-DYE. Why are we so perplexed by this style choice and ZOMG did she actually reveal whether she's Team Gale or Team Peeta? We have answers to both of these questions.

Intergalactic cats, dapper bunnies, pensive pugs, and unicorn princesses. Welcome to the wonderful whimsical world of Locketship, an L.A.-based accessory company specializing in animal-themed pendant jewelry. Founded by designer Maria Ewing, Locketship is all about adorning your ensembles with a bit of imaginative flair. When we first spied the label's Floating Cat Ring featuring a tabby kitten tumbling through a star-laden galaxy, we were completely smitten. We spent ages perusing the vast array of rings, necklaces, and earrings Locketship offers, squealing with delight at everything from a giant Persian cat face ring to one depicting a Brussels Griffon pup snarling in a pink sweater. Sold through its online shop and on Modcloth (as well as in shops in Belgium and Japan), the line is becoming something of a MUST for any accessory fan. Who wouldn't want to accessorize with an asteroid bunny? We spoke to designer Maria Ewing about how she started her own line, why she's so into animal faces, her accessory hero Katy Perry, and what to expect from her next collection.

Chloe Sevigny shops at Miu Miu in downtown Manhattan.
Photo: Splash News

Look, we're not gonna lie, when Chloe Sevigny wears something rad, gets interviewed by Tavi, or allows the public to peek into her closet, we're on it like a pack of Haribos during fashion week. This includes any and every hair transformation that takes place whether for a movie role or pure style enjoyment. Thus, when Miss S was spotted leaving a Miu Miu store in downtown NYC—her hair considerably shorter and lighter—we had to stop everything we were doing to discuss this momentous occasion. And we wouldn't dream of getting all wordy about it without you. Did we mention a stolen car is involved?

Lady Gaga wearing Prabal Gurung by Linda Farrow Projects at the Born This Way Foundation launch.
Photo: Courtesy of Linda Farrow/Prabal Gurung

Lady Gaga recently launched her Born This Way Foundation at Harvard University to much deserved fanfare and MTV applause (not to mention major "woots!" for her choice to wear a ladylike Sally LaPointe dress with aerodynamic headgear). Well, if you didn't see photos of her arriving at Harvard, a delicate snow falling around her Linda Farrow bespectacled visage, then you might have missed out on the TO-DIE Prabal Gurung coat she wore over the dress. Dramatic, structured, and tinted with leather sleeves in undulating shades of jade green and bruise purple, she stepped out into the concrete winter wonderland like a magnificent queen beetle. And don't think Prabal himself didn't have something to say about it.

Azealia Banks, Kanye West Fashion Show

Ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you to KANYE WEST Runway Show Day. As you might imagine, this is a ginormous event for us all here at MTV Style. We've been counting this fash magic down ever since the last Paris Fashion Week when Yeezy made his ready-to-wear debut. Everyone in the DONDA camp has been tight-lipped about today's fall 2012 show (which is taking place at 9:30 p.m. Paris time, 3:30 p.m. ET), but news has finally (TRIUMPHANTLY) been revealed and we are in serious hyperventilation mode. You guys, Azealia Banks just tweeted a shot of the runway and it's ENORMOUS. Also? She said, "Sound Check at Kanye West Runway Show!!!!" This can only mean one thing—and it's reinforced by the multiple use of exclamation points and all caps—AZEALIA BANKS might possibly be *gasp* PERFORMING!!!! Not that we weren't expecting this already, but the Kanye West show is starting to feel like a spectacular to end all spectaculars.

katy perry jennifer lawrence viktor & rolf

It's fashion match time! This time the theme is BLUE. We're talking Smurf blue but with the extra added bonus of swirlies galore. (Who doesn't love a little fancy filigree?) In one corner we have the delectable Katy Perry who, in our humble opinion, kind of OWNS blue. Who else can rock an azure-hued 'do with an electric cyan ensemble while also tossing some essence of pale sky onto her eyelids like it ain't no thing? Answer: NO ONE. Unless, of course you're the lovely Jennifer Lawrence, who's about to kill (literally) in the upcoming film The Hunger Games and also in a netted royal blue swirl dress that is kinda risqué but also completely interesting. Both ladies wore similar looks by celebrated design duo Viktor & Rolf, and we can't decide who wore them better.

Taylor Swift wearing a Kanye West shirt for the April issue of "Harper's Bazaar Australia."
Photo: Courtesy of "Harper's Bazaar Australia"

We'll get right to the point. Taylor Swift is wearing a shirt designed by Kanye West in the April 2012 issue of Harper's Bazaar Australia. That's right, TAYLOR SWIFT is wearing KANYE WEST. Although we feel the urge to type it a third time just to make it all the more real, we'll spare you and get right into how we can hear the distant sound of a hatchet being buried. Not that Miss Swift is the type to hold a grudge, mind you. As you might remember, back during the 2009 VMAs, Kanye crashed Taylor's acceptance speech after she won an award for Best Female Video. It was a totally bananasville moment that he later apologized for, but not without some serious backlash from the music community and, well, everyone everywhere at large. There was a long healing period where each one expressed degrees of being over the incident, but now we have actual FASHION proof.

kenzo fall 2012

Looks from the Fall 2012 Kenzo show at Paris Fashion Week.
Photo: Courtesy of Kenzo

It's official. We're completely OBSESSED with Kenzo. The love affair began with the newly revamped label's first Paris Fashion Week show last October, which featured Chloe Sevigny on the runway and Jason Schwartzman behind a drum kit. Our hearts swelled even more with the crazy colorful pre-fall presentation turned out to be our dream wardrobe. But the fall 2012 show—which took place in a space-age looking French university building with 50 models walking a runway that spanned four floors—catapulted us to beyond smitten with its bold mix of pattern, color, print (GRAPES!), accessories (WALNUTS!), and a front row cheer section that included Robyn and Sean "Diddy" Combs. Did we mention there were Magnolia Bakery cupcakes flown in from New York and placed on every seat? (#delicious) But, seriously, the clothes were even yummier.

barneys coop video girl models

Typically not two words you associate with each other, "funny models" is exactly the kind of thing we're into. It's not that models aren't funny, it's just that we so rarely hear them speak (or see them smiling), and especially not for a store campaign. Barney's CO-OP isn't your typical store, though. For their new spring 2012 campaigns, they shot two videos (one for women and one for men) featuring models telling life stories while wearing looks from various spring collections. But the stories? They're HILARIOUS. We're talking stuff involving interesting/bizarre dance moves (otherwise known as Butoh, which is actually a real dance technique, and The Pancake, which we think is completely made up), as well as issues involving toes, small towns, swallowing quarters, and a model dude yelling "AHORCALA!" really passionately for no apparent reason. You guys, you need to see these videos to behold their fash-magic.
