taylor kitsch flaunt magazine

Like everyone else on the planet, we flip anytime there's anything regarding Taylor Kitsch. The entire MTV Style staff can quote Friday Night Lights in tandem, and if you haven't seen it yet, we strongly suggest you do something about that immediately. Once you behold TIM RIGGINS, you will never be the same again. The truth behind the mastery of FNL's most beloved character (named one of the 100 Greatest TV Characters of the Last 20 Years) lies within the talent of the Canadian-born, Austin-based Kitsch who plays him, of course. We've known it for years, but the dude is about to break out in a massive sort of way thanks to his work on that show and for his recent star turn in John Carter. But if his recent spread in Flaunt magazine is any indication, it might also have do with his super smokin' man-style, too.

Selena Gomez on the set of "Spring Breakers" in Florida.
Photo: Splash News

We've already professed our utter enchantment and sense of '90s nostalgic glee for the upcoming film Spring Breakers and its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-infused style. With a continual barrage of photos emerging every week via clever paparazzos and from the film's stars—namely Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, and Vanessa Hudgens—we can't get enough of the tank top, T-shirt, and jeans summer ensembles. And with this latest image of La Gomez walking around the set in a puppy 'n' kitten tee, denim hot pants, and Nike Dunks, we're wondering if this will become our lazy summer style of choice.

Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lawrence, and Leven Rambin at "The Hunger Games" premiere in Los Angeles.
Photo: Getty Images

It may seem like a regular week to some folks, but to the rest of us it's the official kick-off of The Hunger Games! (Cue dresses that magically burst into flames, a chorus of whistles, and enough bows and arrows to start a post-apocalyptic renegade Cub Scout gang.) The film—based on the popular dystopian book trilogy—opens on March 23, but Monday's mega gala premiere brought out the entire cast, not to mention hundreds of camped-out fans eager to catch a glimpse of their favorite characters from the series. Jennifer Lawrence, who plays lead character Katniss Everdeen (aka The Girl on Fire), did not disappoint as she set the black carpet ablaze in a stunning gold Prabal Gurung dress. Miley Cyrus arrived in a midriff-baring ensemble on the arm of boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, who plays Katniss's oldest friend, Gale, and Leven Rambin made quite the entrance in a fiery red Chagoury Couture gown. All in all, it was a cornucopia (pun intended) of the best in Capitol couture.

toms glasses

Sunglasses from the new Toms Eyewear collection.

Chances are you're already familiar with Toms shoes. Not only do these comfortable, easygoing slip-ons and lace-ups come in a variety of styles for men and women, each pair purchased gives a pair of new shoes to a child in need. Founded by traveler Blake Mycoskie in 2006, the company utilizes a revolutionary One for One way of doing business. For every product sold, they match that product for someone in need (one person buys, one person is helped). Whether you buy Toms shoes for fashion or to do a good deed by giving a pair to a child in Argentina, either way, this transaction is a very good thing. What's even better is that Toms is now expanding into eyewear. And not only are the styles well-designed and completely covetable, if you purchase a pair it will help give someone in need the gift of SIGHT.

Women attempting to set the Guinness World Record for the longest chain of brides in one location in London.
Photo: Getty Images

To celebrate the DVD release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 1, a bevy of British fans dressed up as brides and stood in front of an HMV store in London to create the longest chain of brides in one location, hopefully setting a Guinness World Record in the process. We're talking fully bridal regalia, including veils, jewelry, and even floral bouquets to both attempt the world record and buy a DVD of the film a day before the actual release. That seems like a lot of work just to get an early copy, right? Or maybe hundreds of Twi-fans really care about setting a Guinness World Record? OR is there something else to all this? The answer is YES...to the last question. Folks, beyond the world record and wearing a gown with a veil on a cold morning, all of these costumed brides got something extra special—a chance to see a clip of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 2 with Bella in all her transformed vampire glory. *passing out*

Lenny Kravitz in "Interview" magazine.
Photo: Gregory Harris for "Interview" magazine

As we get closer and closer to the release of The Hunger Games, magazines continue to bestow us with spreads featuring our faves from the upcoming film (hi, Jennifer Lawrence in Seventeen). Though there are several cast members we're still just getting to know (we want to be experts on EVERYTHING Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth obvs), there's one very prominent character we all know quite well. We're talking about CINNA, of course, aka mega rock star slash actor slash designer slash total man idol Lenny Kravitz. Aside from being a hardworking musical genius, Mr. Kravitz is insanely talented in the fields of both design (did you know he runs a super successful design firm?) and acting (do you remember his subtle yet powerful performance in Precious?), and he's a proud and devoted father to daughter Zoe Kravitz. Also, he's featured prominently in the latest issue of Interview magazine looking very, ahem, HEALTHY without a shirt.

madonna truth or dare perfume

When she's not making "wild" music videos, singing while being flanked by Givenchy Super Bowl gladiators, directing costume-heavy dramas, signing Chanel boots for Lourdes' high school fundraiser, or sitting atop her Queen of Pop Music throne, Madonna is concocting fragrances, namely one entitled Truth or Dare by Madonna. You might recall our previous delight when hearing that this perfume was going to smell like a narcotic flower. "What does that smell like?" we wondered while conjuring images of narcoleptic Venus Flytraps. Well, we finally have our answer! Truth or Dare not only debuted a new ad, it arrived on our MTV Style doorstep to sample. Thus, we asked various peeps around our office what they thought it smelled like and what kind of woman it brought to mind.

Florence Welch performs at Alexandra Palace in London.
Photo: Getty Images

We probably don't have to remind you of this FACT, but Florence Welch is a total style slayer. Not only does she have the most interesting—and consistent—shade of crimson hair, she has formidable prowess where all-over prints are concerned. Also, she oozes cool and has a set of pipes that would make the most cantankerous carnival clown weep pools of imaginary mime tears. Unafraid to mix genres and styles like carpetbag bohemian with fairy goth queen, Welch's ever-changing array of performance outfits and red carpet looks always seem to enchant. And for her latest set of Florence + the Machine shows in the U.K., she has debuted a magical black and gold art deco cape that we find utterly captivating.

jean paul gaultier diet coke

Fashion designer, Lady Gaga spanker, Amy Winehouse tributer, and all around joyfully sailor-striped Frenchman, Jean Paul Gaultier, has been named the new creative director of Diet Coke. And not only will he be designing cans, he will help in the advertising and online content push for the bubbly beverage throughout the year. To celebrate the collab, Diet Coke released a series of videos featuring a fashion-challenged puppet named Irene. We're talking video magic of the BANANAS-flavored Diet Coke variety—metaphorically speaking, of course.

Tom Felton at the premiere of "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" in Los Angeles.
Photo: Getty Images

A good day is a Tom Felton day. The dude emanates SUNSHINE. I know that seems weird considering his was a total mini-villain in the Harry Potter movies, but whether he's caught sporting a baby bun on the beach or just chillin' in a tan suit jacket on the cover of a magazine, we must indulge in his liquid vitamin D gaze any time his visage emanates from our screen. Case in point: The dude recently attended the premiere of the movie Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, and we were BLINDEDSIDED by not only the intensity of his baby blue peepers, but his ensemble, too—namely his mega scoopneck tee. You guys, did T-Felts just make the scoopneck the new deep V?
