What is it about New York City that makes visiting celebs want to dress in hardware? Not that we're complaining—Cali girl Kim Kardashian and Emma Watson, who hails from England, both looked badass in the Big Apple as they stepped out in Burberry trenches with stud-covered sleeves. Kim rocked her large-studded trench yesterday with silver-toed Christian Louboutin pumps and bare legs. Back in November, Emma matched her mini-studded topper with a Burberry studded shoulder bag, lacy tights and black booties. We're calling this fashion face-off a draw—we like Emma's jacket, if only it was teamed with Kim's ensemble. Yeah, we have to make things complicated. But, what do you think?

+ Who looked better in their Burberry trench—Kim Kardashian or Emma Watson?

Who says you need a fancy tripod and zoom lens to shoot fashion photos? Scott Sternberg, the designer behind BOY by Band of Outsiders, used a point-and-shoot Polaroid (yep, A POLAROID) to snap these whimsical shots of Kirsten Dunst for his Spring 2011 lookbook, which was just released. The Spider-Man star modeled preppy-with-an-edge pieces—chinos, blazers and short-shorts—in Huntington Botanical Gardens in Pasadena, Calif. It's all very Virgin Suicides, don't you think?

You cant really see the flowers, but they're blooming on the camouflage print jacket, shorts that Kirsten wears here with oxfords.

Nap time! Kirsten, in a print skirt, cropped trench coat, cashmere cardigan, and sandals, found her shady spot.

Fashion bloggers with Polaroids, this is the image you should try to re-create: Kirsten rocks head-to-toe white—linen pleated shorts, a button-down shirt, and those gold saddle shoes again—in a lush field of fauna.

OF COURSE there were thousands of screaming tweens decked out in sparkly tops and purple nail polish at the Tuesday night Los Angeles premiere of Never Say Never, the new documentary that hits theaters on Feb. 11 and follows Justin Bieber from childhood through his recent tour. But the celeb crowd—young (Jaden and Willow Smith) and "older" (Will.i.am)—was out in full force, too, showing their support for the boy phenom with the iconic hairdo. Here are our favorite purple carpet (it's the Biebs fave hue) looks...

OH BOYS!: Justin, the master of ceremonies, wore a purple dinner jacket with black pants, sneakers, and a button-up shirt. Meanwhile, Will.i.am looked like he just hopped off the stage at the Black Eyed Peas Super Bowl performance in sparkle shoes, dark denim and a Rhythm Nation-style leather jacket. And Chris Brown looks casual-cool in gray jeans, a gold jacket and fresh-from-the-box kicks.

SHORT AND SWEET: Rumored Bieber-crush, Selena Gomez looked stunning in a purple Reem Acra cocktail dress. Cassie Scerbo and Debby Ryan chose micro-minis in classic black.

THE GLITTERATTI: Kelsey Chow chose a flippy silver skirt with a large black sash, and Whitney Port sparkled in a blingy oversize top with an equally drapey black skirt. Chloë Moretz wore a gray ruched and striped Burberry dress with a wide mint green belt.

IN THE BLACK: Ariel Winter, Miley Cyrus and Leona Lewis dressed up basic black pieces to make them uniquely special. Ariel's blazer gets a pop of color over her multicolored minidress. Miley covered her black top with a Winter Kate fringed topper and a skull necklace. And Leona's high-waist pencil skirt gets jazzed up with a sheer lippy half shirt.

DYNAMIC DUOS: The Smiths (Jaden and Willow) and the Jenners (Kendall and Kylie) left the sibling rivalry at home—they all looked great! Jaden stood out in a cropped yellow jacket with matching sneakers, while Willow looked cute in flatforms! The Jenners looked model-esque in flowing, ethereal minidresses.

Julia Stiles at a Lacoste event in New York on Feb. 8 and at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in L.A. on Jan. 30.
Photo: Getty Images

We were already envious of Julia Stiles' killer cheekbones, and then she goes off and gets lash-skimming bangs that highlight their amazing-ness even more. The actress popped by a Lacoste party yesterday in New York City debuting her new 'do—flirty bangs, plus about an inch off the ends. The last time we saw Julia, who starred in Dexter, was on Jan. 30 at the 2011 SAG Awards, where she wore her long mane in cascading waves. Whether or not the chop was a prerequisite for The Bell Jar, the next feature film she'll be starring in, we dig the edge that it gives her overall look. What do you think?

Even though Elle Fanning has some big shoes to fill as Rodarte muse (Kirsten Dunst held the title in the past), the 12-year-old seems to be holding her own. Proof: Today the pint-size actress, who stars in Somewhere, debuted a short film, "The Curve of Forgotten Things" created by Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy and director/photographer Todd Cole. The short follows Elle through the empty rooms of a house, as her outfits (all from Rodarte's Spring 2011 RTW collection) change by themselves (we wish!) from room to room.

Check out the video and take a peek at all of the looks from the film below...

YELLOW FEVER: Elle looks like an intergalactic schoolgirl in a yellow skirt and button-up blouse, which is paired with wide-strapped stacked heels and sheer socks.

PRETTY IN PLAID: Blue plaid high-waisted high-waters with a matching plaid top look nerdy-cool on Elle.

TIER DROP: This grown-up ensemble gets a hint of kid-quirkiness courtesy of the white skirts off-centered slit tiers.

When we think of "Ladies Who Lunch," we usually think of stiff skirt suits and wide brim hats (is it just us?). A far cry, indeed, from the fashion fete that we spotted during the 2011 Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon, which was held yesterday in Beverly Hills. Celebs, including Michelle Williams and Amy Adams, came decked out in pretty pocketed frocks, look-at-me pumps, and the cutest clutches we've seen in a while. Here are all of the midday looks that caught our eyes...

MICHELLE WILLIAMS: Michelle Williams stepped out in Chanel—a black silk blouse and a beige tweed skirt—plus, black Sergio Rossi shoes.

NATALIE PORTMAN: Mama-to-be Natalie Portman showed off her growing tum in a Lanvin satin teal kimono dress, which she paired with Charles David red satin pumps.

HAILEE STEINFELD: Hailee Steinfeld rocked a little black dress with black heels from Aldo, which we are beginning to think is the tween actress' fave place to stock up on shoes.

JENNIFER LAWRENCE: Jennifer Lawrence buddied her black-mini purse and Roger Vivier satin sandals with a white Chloe chiffon dress.

AMY ADAMS: Amy Adams slipped into a white ruffled Valentino dress, which she teamed with gold platform pumps and a white cuff bracelet. Perfection.

Hailee Steinfeld at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Feb. 4.

The test of a true fashionista is if she can seamlessly mix high-end pieces with cute cheapies. By our measure, True Grit breakout star Hailee Steinfeld passed with flying colors while accepting the Virtuoso Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in Santa Barbara on Feb. 4. Just check out how this 14-year-old teamed a cream lace Alberta Ferretti cocktail dress with a rosette-covered clutch from H&M and a pair of candy apple red Aldo platform pumps ($59.98, aldoshoes.com). Be honest; If we hadn't of told you, how many of you would have been able to pick out the high-end from the low-end in Hailee's outfit? Anyone...anyone?

+ Would you mix and match high and low end pieces like Hailee?

Just as Fashion Week kicks off on the 14th episode of Gossip Girl, "Panic Roommate," the UES drama heats up. To score brownie points, Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) schemes (in cute intern clothes—i.e. a Bensoni pencil skirt and textured Theory shorts) to get Nate to flirt with her W magazine boss to take her mind off Fashion Week. WIN. Blair's boss gets so distracted that she decides to quit W magazine, recommending Blair as her replacement. Meanwhile, Damien stirs more trouble by trying to pit Eric, Serena (Blake Lively), and Dan against Ben. FAIL. They all see that Ben actually isn't the scum that Damien makes him out to be. Then, Chuck shows Raina his softer side, so that she can get soft on buying Bass Industries with Papa Thorpe. WIN. Raina recommends Chuck be hired on at Thorpe Enterprises after the eminent merger. And as most Gossip Girl episodes do, the show culminated in a party—but not just any party. Florence and the Machine performed an acoustic rendition of "Cosmic Love" wearing a billowy black and white dress. WIN! WIN! WIN! Check out our other favorite looks from the episode...

Roses wilt. But, a sweet-smelling perfume or lash-lengthening mascara can last for months. Here are five ways to say "I love me" (and drive the boys wild at the same time).

Products We Heart
Photo: Courtesy of Neiman Marcus/Clinique/Urban Decay/Gillette/Sephora

Top Note:
Inspired by Fresh's best-selling Brown Sugar Body Polish, Fresh Brown Sugar Eau de Parfum ($32, NeimanMarcus.com) smells like a delicious blend of Sicilian lemon, tangerine, acai, caramel and sugared magnolia. Yummmmmmy.

*Kisses*:
The sheer-color Clinique Chubby Stick ($15, Clinique.com) is loaded with shea butter, mango butter, and jojoba oil, and doubles as a soothing balm.

Full Flush:
All of your misconceptions about cream blush—it's heavy, it's greasy—are null and void with Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint ($24, UrbanDecay.com). Infused with Vitamins E, C, and A, this sheer buildable tint glides on bare skin or over foundation like butta.

Smooth Move:
It's a special day, so why not break out a brand-new razor (we love the J. Lo-approved Gillette Venus ($11.79, Drugstore.com)—it has built-in shaving cream!) for waxy-smooth gams.

Fringe Benefit:
The spinning action of DiorShow 360 Mascara ($36, Sephora.com) helps you apply mascara like a pro makeup artist—no lumps, clumps, or flakes. Batter up!

Wear your team's colors to show your support during your Super Bowl party with the BOBI Supreme Jersey Button Up Dress in Eco, the ASOS Drapey Mini Dress in Olive, or the BCBGeneration Belted Shirt Dress in Black.
Photo: Courtesy of Revolve Clothing/ASOS/BCBG

Whether you're a fan or not, you'll more than likely be watching the matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, which goes down in Dallas this Sunday. But who says you have to go overboard with the team jersey, the hat, the sweats, the socks, the watch, the pom-poms? Granted, we won't hold it against you if that's how you roll on Super Bowl Sunday—but if you want to show your team spirit in subtler ways, here's how...

Go Packers!
Choose a cargo-style hunter green dress, like this BOBI Supreme Jersey Button Up Dress in Eco (RevolveClothing.com, $52) and pile on a wrist-full of gold bangles for good measure.

Go Steelers!
Pull out a casual Little Black Dress like this BCBGeneration Belted Shirt Dress (BCBG.com, $138), and add hints of color—matte gold shoes, a chunky red ring, or a gold necklace.

Go Commercials!
If you could care less about the Super Bowl, but are totally into the commercials, the halftime show (the Black Eyed Peas are performing by the way), or the wings, dress in a team-neutral color. In this case, it's gold—both Green Bay and Pittsburgh have the hue in their helmets. Try something like this: ASOS Drapey Mini Dress in Olive (Asos.com, $57.38).
