In last night's episode of Gossip Girl, "Petty in Pink," we found out that Lily Bass Humphrey (Kelly Rutherford) got sentenced to house arrest instead of who-knows-how-many-years in the big house for sending an innocent man to prison. She'll spend the next nine months hiding her ankle monitor, but that means she gets to stock up on new long maxi dresses and wide leg slacks (always looking on the bright side).

An editor contacted Dan with an assignment to follow and slyly report on visiting Prince Louie Grimaldi. Turns out the French prince was actually Blair Waldorf's (Leighton Meester) fling from her summer spent in Paris. His majesty defied his parents to spend time with his American crush (Blair) in NYC. To ensure Louie was able to stick around, she staged a kiss with Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) to trick the prince's handler into believing he isn't commingling with the commoner. OF COURSE, the scheme backfired. Charlie Rhodes (Kaylee DeFer) sent footage of the "kiss" to Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Gossip Girl, who proceeded to send it to the entire Upper West Side.

Meanwhile, Raina Thorpe (Tika Sumpter) was on the hunt for her birth mother but didn't want to tell Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), who was drowning his own misery in booze, straight-up Howard Hughes-style. At first, Chuck wanted to stop Raina from finding her mother, but then he had a change of heart.

And, what would an episode of Gossip Girl be without a high-fashion party scene? In this installment, it was the annual UWS Pink Party (Think: P. Diddy's white party...with petal, salmon, and honeysuckle hues). Check Blair's Oscar de la Renta strapless frock, and Serena's Marchesa mini. HOT.

AnnaLynne McCord at Wet Republic pool in Las Vegas on April 23.
Photo: Getty Images

AnnaLynne McCord partnered an army green bikini, jean jacket and maxi skirt with what looked like just a hint of makeup at the Wet Republic Pool party held at MGM Grand in Las Vegas over the weekend. The 23-year-old 90210 actress looked so bare-faced and beautiful. So naturally radiant. So minimalist. But, who do YOU know can roll out of bed looking this fresh-faced and GORGE. Yeah, we hate to burst your bubble, but the no-makeup makeup look actually requires a bit of prep work. The good news—it's a waaaayyyyy faster (and fool-proof) makeup routine to snag than the whole red lip + cat eye ensemble.

Step 1 Moisturize and even out your skin tone with a tinted lotion, like Tarte Smooth Operator Natural Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 ($36,, which is infused with sunscreen to protect your complexion from skin-damaging UV rays.

Step 2 Disguise flaws (breakouts, undereye circles, etc.) with a concealer like Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer ($6.99, One with a small applicator tip will help reign in a heavy hand and prevent caking.

Step 3 If your skin gets shiny, sweep on a light dusting of oil-absorbing powder. Shiseido Translucent Pressed Powder ($32, will leave an unnoticeable veil of shine-blocker.

Step 4 Apply a warm peach or pink cream blush to the apples of your cheeks. NARS Cream Blush in Penny Lane ($27, gives skin a natural flush.

Step 5 Brighten eyes by blending a champagne-colored shadow like Urban Decay Delux Eyeshadow in Ruthless ($18, onto the center of your eyelids, the brow bones, and the inner corners of your eyes.

Step 6 Lightly dot a gray or brown eyeliner pencil like CoverGirl Perfect Blend Eye Pencil in Smoky Taupe ($5.29, between your top lashes and blend gently with your pinky.

Step 7 Use your fingertip to dab on a pretty lip tint like Korres Guava Lipstick in Rose ($22, that matches the natural shade of your lips.

We like lovelovelove the internets (duh). But, whoever said that magazines were a dying breed was CUH-razy. As much as we can't live without our blogs and other online ish, we'd be boo-hoo-hooing if we didn't walk past a newsstand and see all of these glorious/brow-plucked faces on mag covers. Yep, it's the simple things in life (peanut butter and jelly, a cold fluffy pillow, and all this perfect-bound glossy goodness) that make us happy. In last week's "Cover Girl Roundup" we brought you Lady Gaga, Lauren Conrad, January Jones, Kim Kardashian, and Adele, and this week we're delivering cool kids Emma Roberts and Rory Culkin (he's technically not a "cover girl," but WHATEVERS) on Nylon and the unflappably sexy Kate Moss for Vogue Paris. Plus, on the cover of Elle Singapore we spotted Blake sheer harem pants.

To help celebrate young Hollywood (you know, all of those PYTs walking around L.A.), Scream 4 costars Emma Roberts and Rory Culkin (the youngest of the seven-deep Culkin clan, which includes Macaulay) cover the May 2011 issue of Nylon looking appropriately fresh and spring-y. Check Emma's denim short-shorts with suspender attachments! Oh, and Rory's hodgepodge ensemble—jean jacket, cargo pants, tie. It's so young Hollywood of them.

After plopping supermodel Gisele Bündchen on her first Vogue Paris cover, newish, highly scrutinized editor in chief Emmanuelle Alt set her sights on something HUGE and RELIABLE and turned to big-time fashion staple Kate Moss for her second cover. And the golden girl (doesn't she look exceptionally bronzed here?) held her own, despite the aggy manhandling all up on her Armani Prive jacket.

Even in black and white, Gossip Girl Blake Lively manages to look bold and resonant on the May 2011 cover of Elle Singapore. We think it probably has something to do with the see-through Zac Posen harem pants she's rocking. Right? Remember the time we all had to bear witness to someone successfully pulling off see-through harem pants? Beautiful.

Shocking minis and breezy maxis had their time to shine, but now it’s the midis turn to bask in the glow of a lovely spring day. OK, that was a little dramatic, but you catch our drift. If this awkward length sounds, well, awkward, it might be beneficial to technically define what a midi is (we like definitions)—it's a skirt that's too short to be long and too long to be short. Say that 10 times fast. The garment tiptoes between secretarial and over-the-top elegant. But to be completely honest, it's one of the most difficult lengths to pull off. Since it cuts off smack dab in the middle of your gams, it can make calves look GINORMOUS. Thank goodness for these style bloggers who show us a few brilliant ways to rock a midi.

Jo Puletua of Lola Lovely Pre Adored
Blog: Twitter: @lolalovelyPA.
Believe it or not, but vintage style blogger Jo—an Aussie living in the North West of the UK—is the mother of three little BOYS. We know! How could it be?! There's no baseball caps, camo prints and sneakers in this pretty mama's closet. Jo looks über-ladylike in a vintage cropped knit top and patterned midi skirt, which she teamed with black high-heel sandals, a sunhat, and a classic clutch.

Noelani Zervas of Mon Petit Chou Chou
Blog: Twitter: @MPChouChou.
While visiting her family on their farm, Noelani (a Boston-based blogger) dressed the part (with a citified twist). The self-proclaimed Francophile partnered a burnt orange asymmetrical midi from Topshop with a navy polka dot blouse, a Forever 21 studded jacket (that we'd be remiss if we didn't mention cost her ONLY $8.99), and a pair of leather chocolate calf boots. Yeehaw!

Holly Hopkins of Fashion in the Fog
You’d never guess it, but Holly, a Canadian blogger, has an affinity for affordability. She scored her khaki button-down midi at a thrift store for $4.99, and her ENTIRE ensemble (organic cotton top, bow belt, flats, and jewelry) cost less than $40. Ummmm, Holly, call us the next time you go shopping. Seriously.

Clarissa Darling from 'Clarissa Explains It All.'

Clarissa from the '90s hit Clarissa Explains It All proves that everything old becomes new again. Case in point: The character's eclectic style (oversize button-downs, patterned biker shorts, and Doc Martens) reminds us of the ensembles worn by practically every fashion plate at last weekend's Coachella. {Fab Sugar}

• U.S. Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir is slated to debut a line of Little Black Dresses exclusively at on April 30. And, as expected, the frocks will be fashioned out of materials like ostrich feathers, sequins, and silk taffeta. Check out his first sketch! {SheFinds}

• Talk about A BAG. The Hermes Birkin bag recently auctioned off by Jane Birkin herself on eBay was sold for a whopping $162,840, with proceeds going to the British Red Cross. {Glamour}

• Designer Tom Ford was the sole fashion representative to make it on Time magazine's "Time 100" list. And after reading all of the sweet things Rita Wilson wrote about him for the list, we can totally see why. {Huffington Post}

Lady Gaga starts off her latest installment of Gagavision with that same mesmerizing makeup application videography we fell in love with in her last Gagavision vid. We could literally spend hours watching it on loop. But just as this new clip, we get a close-up/in action look at Lady G's pointy shoulders (she really could poke somebody’s eye out with those things), which she outfits with a black and white wig, fur jacket, and a teacup filled with pearls(!?!) in one shot and a single-shoulder black sparkly leotard and cross necklace in another shot.

Later, the pop star talks about "Judas," her latest controversial single (which was leaked on April 15), and how she came up with the concept. "All of the songs on the album, to be completely candid [were written quickly]. The creative process is approximately 15 minutes of vomiting my creative ideas, in the forms of melodies, usually, or chord progressions and melodies and some sort of a theme/lyric idea. It all happens in approximately 15 minutes of this giant regurgitation of my thoughts and feelings," she says. And then there are "days, months, years" spent fine-tuning. Her takeaway: "Honor the vomit." OK. Done. What we definitely ALSO honor is that metallic shift dress she is rockin' in the empty bathtub. It's hot, right? When asked to say the most personal thing she could say to her fans on camera, she said, "The greatest challenge in writing "Born This Way" is I had to become confident and secure in myself. I had to leave my insecurity behind me." That’s interesting 'cause with that hair, those loooooong nails and million-inch platforms, we never pegged her as the insecure type. Just sayin'. P.S. If you’re wondering what Lady Gaga typed into the phone in the beginning of the clip, it was "Marry the Night," another track from her album Born This Way. Gotta love a superfan Easter egg.

After seeing Dezirae let her boyfriend Omar do her makeup, we realized this is totally a THING on YouTube. Turns out, there are a TON of girls who are willing to give their dudes free reign over their kits and faces. Our favorites below feature boyfriends/husbands who straight-up SPEW makeup pearls of wisdom. Check them out and pick up a few new application techniques of your own. Or don't.

The confidence that Omar possesses in regards to his makeup prowess made us wonder if this whole do-your-girlfriends-makeup-on-YouTube idea was his idea. His take: "I watch her when she's in the mirror doing her thing. All I have to do is just copy. How hard can that be. Right?" That's right, Omar.

Top Techniques:
• Make sure you "wipe" or rub products in with "the tips...the finger tips." In other words, blend well.
• Keep a stash of baby wipes around for mistakes
• Use blush as eyeshadow and apply it with an angled brush.

Makeup Words of Wisdom:
• "Im not big on technicalities, but it's called a thing...a MAC thing." — Omar, in reference to an eye pencil
• "We all make mistakes." — Omar
• "Bllllullllullll," — Omar's way of adding soundtrack as he shows the different brushes to the camera

WE have to give it to him, Tyler can pick out products like a pro. But, apply them? Ummm…NO!

Top Techniques:
• Forego the pat and blend method. Instead rub makeup in like lotion.
• Apply bronzer on “the spots where the sun would normally hit.”
• Blush and highlighter should go on the jawline. Why not?!
• Eyeliner should be applied a half-inch away from the lash line.

Makeup Words of Wisdom:
“I basically just draw circles around [the] eyes.” — Tyler

There’s lots of laughing in this boyfriend/girlfriend video, because, well, it’s hilarious.

Top Techniques:
• Apply blush under the cheek and always apply a little extra "for good luck."

Makeup Words of Wisdom:
• She, in response to him coming at her with an eye pencil: "Are you doing it on the top or bottom?"
• "I dunno, which one is first?"
• She: "Do it on the top," as she cringes in fear for her eyeballs.
• "I'm doing this on purpose. I know what im doing, I'm a professional." — Shawn

Sebastian is apparently taking his girl out on a date after he does her makeup. When Cocobelle asked him where they’re going he said "to the circus." Hahahaaaaaaaa. So, you know where this makeup look is headed.

Top Techniques:
• Blow (spit?) on brushes before dipping them into powder.
• Stick one finger into your mouth and pull out to get rid of any excess lip gloss.

Makeup Words of Wisdom
• He: "I forgot the wet stuff."
• She: "The wet stuff? ...The base?"
• He: “Yeah"

Benji attempts a natural/nude/dark bridal look, which includes faux lashes, "a red thing," and "Infallable by L'Oreal Beyonce." (What?!)

Top Techniques:
• Start off with moisturizer.
• If a product says it stays on all day (like the Infallable) put it on first.
• Reverse your faux lashes — glue the wide end on the inner corner of your eyes.

Makeup Words of Wisdom:
• "It's like a salt and pepper shaker." — Benji, in reference to the packaging of the mineral powder.
• "Close your nostrils." — Benji

• Rightfully so, Kate Middleton's wedding gown has been getting all of the attention. But do you ever wonder what she's going to wear during her honeymoon? Turns out Kate may be keeping her honeymoon threads on the moderately priced side—the princess-to-be was spotted buying a $105 dress at Warehouse in London. {Us}
