Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana (known to the well-heeled world as Dolce & Gabbana) are probs losing their minds rejoicing—the duo was acquitted of tax evasion (they were charged with failing to pay taxes on $1.1 billion in sales) by a judge who said there wasn't enough evidence to go to trial. Thank the satin-covered floral heavens. {Fashionista}

• The similarities between teen-blogging phenom Tavi Gevinson and Bebe Zeva, a 17-year-old fashion blogger, are sorta freaky—they both have four-letter names, they both live in non-fashion forward cities, and they are both as interested in fashion as they are in writing. And they're both preternaturally talented in a manner that freaks you out a little! {Elle}

• According to a news study out of the Netherlands, wearing designer labels—Lacoste, Hilfiger, Chanel [interesting threesome, no?])—could help you land a new gig. Yeah, but what if you need the new gig to afford to buy those designer labels. Chicken. Egg. Cart. Horse? {Styleite}

Strappy sandals are typically dainty. They're delicate and (let's be honest) sometimes uncomfortable. As we type this we're having flashbacks of skinny leather ankle straps cutting into the flesh of our Achilles. Stinging...burning...take 'em off! Soooooo, you can imagine what a pleasant (less traumatic) surprise it was to see stars step out this week in more forgiving footwear with thicker, less blood-thirsty straps. Cameron Diaz promoted her new movie Bad Teacher at CinemaCon wearing bold Lanvin pumps that featured wide toe and ankle straps. Meanwhile, Amber Lancaster popped by the launch of the 2011 Victoria's Secret SWIM Collection wearing futuristic gold and tan heels that had wide straps AND a cross foot strip for added support. Then there was Victoria Justice who accented her bright blue midriff/skirt combo with chic pewter baby-platforms at Perez Hilton's Blue Ball Birthday Party. All of these pumps are serious feet treats, but which pair is your favorite?

Katy Perry may have been a California Gurl in previous vids, but in the video for her latest single, E.T., the singer is out of this world. Throughout the clip (which premieres today!), KP sort of floats/falls through outer space swathed in supernatural-style hair (by Pamela Neal), makeup (by Kabuki), garb (styled by Johnny Wujek and Carol Beadle), and eyeballs (her pupils change hue from ocean blue to carmel to a weird gray). Check out all of the looks below…

Talk about a HAIRDO! Hairstylist Pamela Neal did flat twists on Katy's hair and then whipped it up into a braided masterpiece to match the neckline on her dress.

Katy's makeup seems to have a mind of its own, as it spreads and shrinks across her forehead and chin. Wild.

As Katy flies through space, her gowns, which match the stars and planets in the background, float behind her.

Same hair, different color. But check out Katy's intricate Henna-style forehead pattern.

The cheekbone contouring situation that makeup artist Kabuki gave Katy here is AMAZEBALLS.

This white frock with mega-shoulder pads reminds us of a wedding dress. But Katy's expression doesn't scream "happy bride." Just sayin'.

This just might be the most gorgeous image we've seen in a music video in a looooong time. The sunset (or Plutoset, depending on what planet Katy is on), Katy's dress floating behind her... BEAUTIFUL.

Here's a closer look at the gold-plated/feathered/layered dress.

Long nails must be the trend in outer space. Katy's are gilded in gold to match her arm bling.

Oh, we didn't mention that Kanye West was floating around in the video, too?! Yep, 'Ye has a cameo. But, with the tee, shiny jeans and sneaks, he looks more human than alien.

Katy's hair bump puts others we've seen to shame. And check out the animalistic spots that highlight her cheekbones.

Katy (the alien) finds a pair of human sunglasses circa 2011. Finders keepers.

The white specks look fly on Katy, dontcha think?

Hmmm, the things you'll do for love. We sort of love the fact that Katy's beau is rocking a high-top fade. Everything old comes back around.

Lady Gaga reportedly has a new side hustle as a writer for V, a high-fashion magazine. Kate Nash performs in Trent, England on March 20, and Shenae Grimes attends the Vans X Jesse Jo launch party in West Hollywood on March 29.
Photo: Getty Images/WireImage

They aren't as jaw-dropping as face implants (à la Lady Gaga), but the black hearts that British singer/songwriter Kate Nash and "90210" actress Shenae Grimes recently rocked on their cute mugs did grab our attention. Kate painted a medium-size heart on each cheek, while Shenae did a single teardrop-style heart in the corner of her right eye (P.S. it looks like the handy work of waterproof liquid liner). The whole thing sorta reminds us of Gucci Mane's ice cream cheek tattoo. Memba? Ya know, butterflies, flowers, ice cream cones, hearts, balloons, etc.—they fall under that yeah-I-have-a-real/fake-face-tatoo-but-it's-sooooooo-sweet-so-it's-not-scary umbrella. We're still trying to figure out if the hearts are GREAT or just gratuitous. What do you think—do you <3 it?

Katy Perry in her new "E.T." music video.

Katy Perry’s upcoming music video for "E.T." features some seriously futuristic and fantastic makeup. The pop star JUST posted NEW photos of some of the alien-esque looks—a bronze spotty creation and a red eye masked number—on her Facebook page, where you have to go immediately to check out the incredible NAILS she's got going on, too.

Meanwhile, she encouraged her fans to try and re-create the blue and pink masterpiece that she leaked last week and that reallyreallyreally reminds us of Avatar's Neytiri. We aren't surprised that KP's loyal legion of followers would copycat the looks, whether at her behest or not. But what shocked us was how freakin' good these average Janes' makeup game turned out to be. GEESH...and here we are struggling to make a straight line with liquid eyeliner, and are maybe way too lazy NOT to just cop the cutout Katy Perry mask. Anyways, the one thing we CAN DO is cast judgment on the creations of others, so check out some of our fave masterpieces below. And if you think you can do better, prove it here.

WINNERS: From the nearly-identical forehead patterns, to the blue-green eyes (real? contacts?), these girls MUST be professional makeup artists. If they aren't, they need to go ahead and switch careers.

Katy Perry fans.

RUNNERS-UP: ALMOST. OK, so these girls get an 'E' for effort. The colors are on point, but the eyelines and hairlines are a little unfinished/crooked, and the forehead designs aren't quite faithful to the original.

Katy Perry fans.

MOST CREATIVE RENDITION FROM THE ORIGINAL: These looks have little to do with Katy Perry's actual music video steez, but that's what makes them kinda awesome? From yellow flower vines, chest/shoulder/neck paint and spotty hairlines, these freestylers said eff it and interpreted the alien look to their own liking.

Jena Malone at the 'Sucker Punch' premiere in Hollywood on March 23.
Photo: Getty Images

We know. We KNOW. Blue eye shadow is the one makeup product that often elicits total cringeface, and evokes horrifying images of big-haired soap opera characters and middle-aged moms in dire need of makeunders. We get it—regardless of how bright it can be, blue powder has a shady past. But we recently spotted Jena Malone, who may, single-handedly, bring the shamed cosmetic out of the darkness. At the Los Angeles premiere of Sucker Punch, the actress got our attention by donning a dusting of pastel blue on her lids. No electric/peacock blue. No major sparkle. No crazy navy cat eyeliner. Instead of us thinking #ewahahahahaha, Jena's makeup game made us want to jump out of our seats, leave work, throw 'bows at all the Times Square tourists, race to Sephora, hunt down the color, dash into the bathroom, and re-create the look. But not until we got one. More. Blog. Post. Up. Feeding the internet is hard :( (even if our job is chatting about makeup... how do we DO it???!!).

STEP 1: Prime your lids with a primer like Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion ($18,, so the shadow doesn't crease. 'Cause blue + creasing = THE WORST.

STEP 2: With a brush sweep a wash of icy blue shadow like MAC eye shadow in Aqua ($14.50, from lash line to crease. Then blend, blend, blend, and drag a little of the powder onto your bottom lash line.

STEP 3: Apply two (or three, if you're feeling fiesty) coats of mascara to your top lashes.

STEP 4: Since your eyes are slightly more dramatic than usual, keep the rest of your face fairly neutral with SHEER pink blush (CoverGirl Cheekers Blush in Snow Plum ($3.99, and SHEER pink lipstick or balm (Clinique Chubby Sticks in Woppin Watermelon, $15,

P.S. Your hair should be sleek and unfussy. Curls, headbands, or pins would give this look an Ice Princess look that's totally not flattering unless you're an ice skater or gymnast.
