Some things are just made to go together. Peanut butter and jelly. Salt and pepper (also, Salt-N-Pepa). Jeans and T-shirts. Jennifer Lawrence and Dior. As the current face of Miss Dior, J-Law has been wearing the designer almost exclusively as of late. For some, that might start to feel predictable, but somehow this pairing manages to make each outfit more refreshing than the last. Jennifer's red carpet appearances this year have pretty much felt like sitting front row at a Dior couture runway show—and we certainly aren't complaining.
We can't wait to see what Dior creation she might surprise us with at the 2014 Academy Awards, and you better believe we'll be here LIVE on Sunday night to relay the news. To prepare ourselves, we decided to take a look back at the star's relationship with the designer (spoiler alert: it's lasted longer than most Hollywood marriages).
Jennifer Lawrence at the 85th Annual Academy Awards

You remember this one. The entire WORLD remembers this one. By now, Jennifer Lawrence's trip up the stairs at the 2013 Oscars is more famous than that year's actual winners. Adorable clumsiness aside, J-Law was simply stunning in the soft ballerina-pink Dior gown. It's a dress befit for a certifiable movie star.
Witnessing Lupita Nyong'o's stellar red carpet style has easily become one of the best aspects of the current awards season. She may have only been on the Hollywood scene for less than a year, but she already has a better fashion resume than most veteran A-listers. Perhaps MOST impressive is her ability to look stunning in literally any color. And I do mean literally. (See above.) BTW, Lupita: Crayola called. They actually DON'T want their colors back, because they look a zillion times better on you than in some musty cardboard box.
Since Lupita is so freakin' unpredictable when it comes to her sartorial shades, we are THAT much more excited to see what she's going to wear to the Academy Awards on Sunday.
Holland Roden for Byrdie.
Guess what. We just found another reason why winter needs to end ASAP (as if the arctic temperatures and slush puddles weren't reason enough). In a new photo shoot for Byrdie, Teen Wolf's Holland Roden slays some of spring's biggest makeup looks, and it's just the best. Seriously, if these photos are any indication of how my face is going to look come April, I'm welcoming spring forward with open arms. It looks like this season is going to be all about bright lips and colorful nails (and sunscreen, if you want a complexion as flawless as Holland's). Miss Roden tries out a number of different looks for the shoot, each one arguably cuter than the next. She kicks things off with matching fuchsia lips and nails, both of which stand out against her denim jacket and Bambi eyes.
Versace's original sketch and Beyonce wearing the 'Bow Down' jacket.
Photo: Beyonce's Tumblr
We've been keeping track of Beyonce's Mrs. Carter Show wardrobe to an almost obsessive degree lately. (So have you. Don't try to deny it.) The new custom-made Versace pieces have surpassed all expectations, and the original design drawings posted to Bey's website are such a welcome bonus. Seeing the transition from sketch to stage is pretty remarkable, but we couldn't help noticing an obvious difference between the final product and OG design of that epic "Bow Down" moto jacket. It seems Donatella may have originally wanted the back to read "Bitches Bow Down" but ultimately, a slightly more PG version ended up on the piece.
Pharrell and his rainbow of hats.

You guys. Pharrell Williams' hat game is just getting better and better. We didn't think that was possible, seeing as the oversized millinery he wore to the Grammys is already more famous than you or I will ever be. But then again, we didn't realize the now-infamous Vivienne Westwood accessory comes in a variety of bold colors, many of which Pharrell has been wearing lately. What's better than a brown Buffalo hat? A FUCHSIA Buffalo hat.
Cara Delevingne walking the Giles runway during London Fashion Week and Instagramming.

IDK about you, but I can barely walk in a straight line without keeping my eyes firmly planted on the ground in front of me. Trying to operate my phone without tripping or stepping into oncoming traffic? Never gonna happen. And thanks to Cara Delevingne, I'm made even more blatantly aware of my lack of motor-skill multitasking.
As if headlining London Fashion Week wasn't impressive enough, Cara filmed herself DURING her runway walks at Giles Deacon's show and posted the footage to her Instagram account. Of course, she made it look super easy and natural, which is why she's a professional model and I'm not (yep, that's the only reason).
The first of her six vids was like a teaser trailer. Cara shows us the backstage lineup, yelling, "It's about to happen, it's about to happen! Oh my gosh, first live video from a catwalk! AHHHHHHH!"

Rodarte presented some of the most memorable pieces at New York Fashion Week this year thanks to a range of dresses printed with iconic Star Wars imagery. I mean, putting Luke Skywalker and Yoda front and center on your chiffon gowns is definitely going to get people talking. While I was personally delighted to see the greatest sci-fi franchise of all time (thoughts and opinions are my own, but also, don't argue) sneak onto the runway, the literal interpretation of geek chic was admittedly a tad random. Or at least it seemed that way, UNTIL NOW. *duuuun dun dun dun DUNdun dun DUNduuun* Star Wars just made another appearance for Fall/Winter 2014 at Preen's London Fashion Week show, so Rodarte's Jedi regalia could actually have been the first signs of a nerdy new trend.

Call us crazy, but we haven't stopped thinking about Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour since she first announced it back in November. It's still three months away, but we're getting increasingly antsy and excited—especially (obviously) concerning all things wardrobe. So you've gotta understand the pure joy we felt when we saw CuteCircuit (one of Katy's favorite designers, NBD) show their Fall 2014 collection at New York Fashion Week.
Katy has worn some of their pieces before—her light-up gown at the 2010 Met Gala and white catsuit at her 2011 American Idol performance were both designed by CuteCircuit. So, when everyone started raving about iPhone-controlled miniskirts and dresses embedded with LED displays this week, Katy was probably like, "YAWWNNN. Tell me something I DON'T know." (JK, she's way nicer than that.) Designers Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz have been doing their futuristic thing since 2004, but now that the brand is *officially* on the fashion radar, we have our fingers and toes crossed that Katy will ask her old friends to provide a few (or more) pieces for Prismatic.
"Short hair, don't care. (!!!)" - Taylor Swift
Photo: @taylorswift's Instagram
Last night, Taylor Swift got her hair cut, and judging from her Instagram, it was an EVENT. It seems like just yesterday Taylor was flipping her hair every which way during her dramatic Grammy performance. Now that image is nothing more than a distant memory because Swift is reinvigorating THE haircut of 2013: The Chop, also known as The Karlie. In the midst of her international Red Tour, T. Swizzle took a moment Tuesday evening to show off her new, chin-length 'do on Instagram. "London, I could never thank you enough. See you next time! PS: short hair, don't care. (!!!)," she captioned the photo (of a photo?), which also features one of her best friends (a pool that just keeps growing and growing), Ellie Goulding.
