Trend Alert: Skinny Stripes Like Kaley Cuoco, Katie Holmes, And Stephanie Pratt

Why are stripes so great for summer? Because they make us think of boats and beaches, of course. Lately, ladies have been hitting up the red carpet in little cotton dresses with skinny horizontal stripes that look so fresh and comfy you could probably go sailing in 'em. Kaley Cuoco wore a cap-sleeved dress with a fluttery skirt in navy and white stripes when she attended Comic Con in San Diego last week, and Katie Holmes went to the New York premiere of The Extra Man in a long-sleeved boatneck navy and red striped dress by Celine. And Stephanie Pratt looked so fresh and cute in her striped French Connection dress at the Lia Sophia jewelry collection party this month. Their dresses are so preppy and classic but also informal enough that they don't look stuffy.

Robert "R-Patz" Pattinson Inspires Underwear Line Named "R-Pants"

Twi-hards aren't the only ones who want to get into Robert Pattinson's pants. British department store Marks & Spencer announced plans to launch an underwear line inspired by Robert Pattinson's tight trouser look named R-Pants, the Guardian reports.

The collection will include low-rise briefs and trunks designed for a slim fit, meaning they won't bunch up under tight pants like the kind that R-Patz and the hipster types typically wear (though, despite zooming on his photo 400 percent in Photoshop, it can not be confirmed that he wears briefs). They hit stores in September.

And while the line is inspired by R-Patz, he's not officially involved, nor will he be part of its ad campaign. Sigh. Our dreams of seeing him lounging in his manderwear are crushed! Though, if he was, we imagine the ads would look a little something like this (see right). Only with less pecs.

Let's Talk About ... Blake Lively's Revealing Preen Top

You would think that we'd get tired of seeing Blake Lively's boobs, but we're not. Maybe because they're always swathed in something fabulous, like the cleavage-bearing top from Preen's 2011 resort collection that she wore to Comic Con on Saturday to promote her new movie, The Green Lantern. How many rolls of double-sided tape does she go through per week?! We also like how she paired her sizzling white shirt with more conservative, baggy high-waisted pants (also by Preen) and a simple stack of bracelets. But the best part has to be her green earrings, a subtle play off the title of her new flick. And while the earrings are cute, we must say, they aren't nearly enough to distract you from that top.

Willow Smith has star power in her blood. Her mom is Jada Pinkett-Smith, her dad is Will Smith, and her 12-year-old brother, Jaden, just launched his first big flick, The Karate Kid. Being part of such a star-studded family, this pint-sized 9-year-old little sis could easily get lost in the crowd. But not this girl!

Instead, she's found an amazing way to stand out through her killer style. She shaved off half her head like Cassie and Rihanna, and isn't afraid to rock a full-length leopard-print outfit or jackets with huge shoulders. Trend Alert: Shenae Grimes, Alexa Chung, And Vanessa Hudgens Scoop Up Silky Nudes

The parade of neutrals began about a month ago at the Twilight premiere, and it kept on coming. And the color reared again this week in the form of silky material with a subtle, sexy sheen on outfits worn by Shenae Grimes, Alexa Chung, and Vanessa Hudgens, confirming that beige is THE color (or non-color) of summer 2010. Shenae Grimes and Alexa Chung both attended Mulberry's pool party on Tuesday night in golden, shimmery nude outfits — Shenae wore a champagne-colored dress with a bell skirt and jeweled straps, while Alexa wore a satiny button-down shirt with casual denim cut-offs. Vanessa Hudgens jumped on the nude-colored train this week as well, attending the premiere of Charlie St. Cloud in a floaty backless shift dress by Reem Acra. Isabel Lucas, an Aussie soap opera actress who also appeared in Transformers, hit the red carpet for this week's Melbourne International Film Festival in Australia, and she looked totally different at her multiple appearances. On Wednesday night, the 25-year-old stuck to sleek, minimal glamour with center-parted straight shiny hair and a simple black sheath dress by Willow. Isn't she totally channeling old-school Ali MacGraw? LOVE! But then she totally pulled a fast one on us when she stepped out last night — and we're talking almost unrecognizable! She kept her hair messy and wavy, layered a vintage-style button-down navy jacket over a black dress, and rocked heavy-framed hipster glasses and bright strawberry red lipstick. She almost looks like she's in disguise. We're fighting the urge to make a Transformers joke here, but it's hard. Must resist ...

Want To Smell Like Katy Perry? She's Launching A Perfume Named Purr!

There must be a celebrity rule that we don't know about that you're not 100 percent legit until you attach your name to a perfume. EVERYONE HAS ONE. And now ... so does Katy Perry! After developing the scent for a year, she just released the news this morning. Her fragrance will be called Purr. "I kept wanting to tell someone!" she told WWD today.

The scent itself combines notes of peaches, apples, and green bamboo. FRUITY. Playing off a feline-theme for the name, the bottle design was inspired by Katy's Catwoman performance outfit, and will be cat-shaped with jeweled eyes. Her "purr"-fume will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom for $36 to $65 depending on the bottle size starting this November. MEOW.

We like how she kept her color palette minimal so that the purse could really pop. Her look, as always, is fresh-scrubbed, clean, and sophisticated — LOVE. Is she too young to be a style icon?
