Looks from Lauren Conrad's spring 2013 Paper Crown collection.

Lauren Conrad has been busy! (What else is new, right?) Last year alone, the ex-Hillsie launched a video craft series, designed an eco-friendly beauty and travel accessories line, released another book, and continued her oh-so-popular LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls collection. But, most recently, LC debuted the spring 2013 lookbook from her personal "passion project" clothing line Paper Crown, and, dang, girl has come a long way! We're loving the fresh and feminine (with a touch of nautical) vibe from all her pieces, which include a peony-print blouse and sky blue shorts; a breezy blue and white striped maxi dress; and a sheer mint blouse and champagne sequin skirt.
It's true: 2012 was THE year of self portraits, and if you're still messing up those personal shots, it's time to get it together, people! We're in 2013! Lucky for us, JWOWW and Snooki stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to create the ultimate guide to taking selfies, and we certainly learned a thing or two from their short-but-sweet video. The former Jersey Shore girls are now the stars of their own show (appropriately called Snooki & JWOWW), and together they are an unstoppable self-portrait-mastering force! They broke it down into four easy steps, so all us selfie amateurs can understand how it works. Let's get to it!
John Mayer and the wallets he designed.

Hello world! Remember John Mayer? You know, the dude that sang "Your Body Is A Wonderland" but had to call off his career "indefinitely" last March because of a serious throat condition? Yeah, that guy. I know it's a super sadface sitch, but, hey, he's dealing the best way he knows how—by dating Katy Perry (babe alert!) and becoming an accessories designer—the latter of which only I found out about mere hours ago. Apparently, he teamed up with Barrett Alley to create a collection of limited-edition wallets, and from what I can tell so far, he's taking this whole design thing really, really seriously. Like, first off, each wallet is $190. To put that in perspective, you could get four—read that again—four Rebecca Minkoff leather wallets for the price of just one John Mayer concoction. So, what's this bad boy made of? Snakeskin? Diamonds? Solid gold? Nope! It's made of old timey fabric from the late 1800s and Civil War-era buttons. Mmmmm, mothballs.
Beyonce in her 'Best Thing I Never Had' music video.

OK, we may not be getting married anytime soon, but OMG—we need to discuss how Beyonce's (fake) wedding dress is currently for sale on the internets. The strapless Baracci stunner, which was featured in her "Best Thing I Never Had" music video, costs $30,000 (which is sort of a steal considering it retails for $85,000) on PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com. The off white and gold ball gown (which is a size 4) features a hand-draped beaded and embroidered French lace bodice with a double layer French silk skirt. The sweetheart corset also includes 3D gold flowers (wut) and hand sewn Swarovski pendants and crystals. Whew!
Rihanna, Kat Graham, Ciara and Brandy sporting leather snapbacks.

Y'all already know how much we love snapbacks, but we can't stop spotting a new version of our ol' go-to accessory—the leather snapback. Not only is this cap an amazing homage to late '80s/early '90s fashion (um, haiii Janet Jackson in Rhythm Nation), but it's also totally warm (and practical!) option for those blustery winter days. Now if you're thinking, "Wha? Are you telling me a leather baseball cap is back in style?" The answer, friends, is yes. And we have proof! Rihanna, Kat Graham, Ciara and Brandy all sported leather caps within the past year and looked TOTALLY. KILLER. while doing so. Ri sizzled in a snapback with a snake on it (!!!) while performing in London last summer; Kat went grunge in a Nirvana tee and patent leather Alife cap last spring; Ciara stole the spotlight in a leather cap onstage in December; and Brandy oozed casual-cool style while spotted in the street in October.
Beyonce performing on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas wearing Minx nails.

Sure, we love nail art, but when it comes to nail art on Beyonce, whew! It's a whole different ballgame, friends. Bey's go-to manicurist Lisa Logan (who has her own line at Minx and is someone you may remember from our prom nail art shoot back in 2011) created some custom tips for Beyonce's New Year's Eve performance in Las Vegas, and—OMG—they are uh-mazing. Bey posted a close-up pic of her digits last week, and Lisa says the designs were inspired by the late artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, who is known for his obscure graffiti pieces (and is also a favorite of both Beyonce and Jay-Z). The colorful decals varied by each finger (which we LOVE), and we think it complemented her rhinestone-encrusted black and white bustier and curly locks perfectly.
To say that Rihanna is the master of Instagram selfies is nothing new. I mean, her feed is littered with perfectly-lit self portraits, and in the February/March issue of Complex magazine, she totally owns up to it. "It's narcissistic, but whatever—everyone does it. I’m capturing personality... Everybody has their thing they like or don't like to see. It’s all in your head. That's why people take their own pictures, because it’s difficult for someone else to capture what you seek." Complex took this theme and really (really!) ran with it for their latest issue—they released not one, not two, but SEVEN COVERS with Rihanna sporting a completely different outfit in each. They also let RiRi have her own way with a Polaroid and published some seriously revealing selfies, which, um, are sorta NSFW. All looks were outfitted by stylist Mel Ottenberg and photographed by Zoe McConnell, and in one of our favorite cover shots (above), Rihanna wore camo print bra top, Chanel suspenders, oversized black trousers, large Chanel hoop earrings, and a bow-tied bandana.
One Direction in 'Kiss You.'

• It's no surprise that One Direction's "Kiss You" music video look by look topped our headlines this week. I mean, cute boys + numerous outfit changes + a hint of nudity = internet gold.
• The People's Choice Awards officially kicked off the 2013 awards season, and we couldn't get enough of Taylor Swift's plunging all-white dress, The Wanted's five shades of grey ensembles, and braided updos on the red carpet!
• The leaked GQ cover featuring Beyonce sporting nothing but her skivvies finally surfaced, and we have it in all its high-res glory. You're welcome.
• Snooki and JWOWW showed off their day-to-night BFF style, and we <3ed it!
• Blue Ivy Carter turned one this week, so we celebrated her birthday the best way we knew how—with an oh-so-fashionable GIF, obvi.

So, we're not one to jump on rumors, but when it involves 1.) our girl Beyonce and 2.) a possible clothing campaign, we can't help but dust off our investigative journalism hat and jump RIGHT in. The gist of the story (so far) is this: Bey is currently living it up in the Bahamas (see her, above, with Blue Ivy <3), and the paps caught her doing a photo shoot wearing a killer printed bustier bikini top, high-waisted bottoms, and huge hoop earrings. Alongside this, one of her backup dancers, Kimmie Gee, posted a status that read: "First day of rhsl in the Bahamas! Alriiiiiiiight H&M...Let's Go!" The most suspicious part, though, is that she has since deleted the status. Luckily, someone captured a screen shot to prove that, yes, she DID say the words "Bahamas" and "H&M" in the same sentence. Eeeee!
Nicki Minaj on Jan. 8, Jan. 9, and Jan. 8.

We've barely made a dent into the new year, but we can already tell that Nicki Minaj has committed to a serious fashion resolution for 2013. As the rapper made multiple appearances over the last few days, we started to notice Barbs' typically outrageous Harajuku-inspired style (think: furry hot pink hoodies, printed pants and moon boots) has been swapped out for sleeker, simpler ensembles. Barbz ditched her sky-high, Judy Jetson cotton candy pink and green wigs for a more subdued black 'do with blunt bangs or a soft, center-parted blonde look, which we love.
