Celebrities: they're just like us? Er, not so much...at least when it comes to looking gorgeous on the red carpet. Along with impossibly good genes, we all know the stars have a team of creative masterminds to get their hair, makeup, and nails in tip-top shape for major events. But here's awesome news for those out there who are NOT on Hollywood's A-List (read: everyone else), because these beauty pros are generously willing to divulge their secrets! Earlier this week we filled you in on how to replicate Kristen Stewart, Amanda Seyfried and Sarah Hyland's best hairstyles for prom, and now we're quizzing the makeup artists behind Rihanna, Jennifer Lawrence, and Katy Perry's most glamorous faces. Regardless of whether you're rocking a short dress, a long gown, or anything in between, find out how to copy the looks for prom below!

RIHANNA AT THE 2013 GRAMMY AWARDS

Katniss Everdeen may have bragging rights to the "Fire Dress," but leave it to Rihanna to crank up the heat even higher on the 2013 Grammys scene in a bright red custom Alaia gown. The cherry-colored sheer frock might command our eyeballs initially, but it's Rihanna's classic Old Hollywood makeup look that really seals the deal here: super-long lashes, defined brows, and THAT amazing red lip. According to the pop star's makeup artist Mylah Morales, obtaining a traffic-stopping effect like this one requires a group effort. "Whenever we do anything with the crew, it's a collaboration between everyone," she told us over the phone yesterday. "Basically we find out what Rihanna will be wearing and then discuss the best beauty look." Although Mylah isn't opposed to rocking a statement mouth with dramatic eyes, this time around she says, "I gave her a really clean, matte face so her lips were the focus, especially given her dress." Want to nab the perfect red mouth for yourself? Mylah recommends using a combination of lipliner (she used Cherry from MAC on Ri), a base color (Ruby Woo) and finish things off with Lady Danger to really give a pop of color.

Sky

Sky Ferreira by Terry Richardson.
Photo: Terry's Diary

Ever since she first burst on the music scene back in 2009, Sky Ferreira has practically trademarked her long Barbie blonde locks. Sure, her signature California girl cut may have undergone several incarnations over the years, from waist-length and wavy as a baby-faced newcomer all the way to platinum and straight earlier this spring, but we've never seen anything quite so dramatic as this. After sporting long hair for what seems like forever, the 20-year-old took a cue from Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Karlie Kloss yesterday and CHOPPED. IT. ALL. OFF. We know, we can't believe it, either—but pictures don't lie, people. Not only did she cut 6-plus inches off the length, Terry Richardson was there to document the entire thing (of course).

In true overachiever form, London-based girl group Little Mix have definitely racked up their fair share of accomplishments ever since the band's X-Factor UK win back in 2011. So what do you do after nabbing a handful of hit singles, capturing a massive overseas fan base, and fostering a superclose relationship with the One Direction dudes? Well, if you're Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, the next logical step is conquering America. Let's just say this foursome is well on their way, especially after dropping their epic new music video "Change Your Life" (with Missy Elliott!) and gaining some serious fashion cred for their distinct personal styles. Onstage and off, these girls KNOW how to dress. We've already dissected the clothing in their breakout music vid "Wings," and recently we got the chance to chat with the group IRL about their style icons, fashion dos and don'ts... and their unexpected beauty secret for hiding from the paparazzi. Sarah Hyland

Given her red carpet steez and consistently on-point hair, makeup, and nail art game, it should come as a surprise to absolutely nobody that Sarah Hyland has nabbed herself a beauty campaign. Our only question is, what took so long?! The 22-year-old Modern Family star is the new spokesperson for Heart Calgon, the cool little sister brand of drugstore fave Calgon. And while the company's vintage '70s "Take Me Away!" commercial is forever ingrained in our memories, Heart Calgon's affordable and sweet-smelling shimmery mists, lotions, and body wash are totally modern and fresh. Just in time for the products to hit select Walgreens stores, Sarah unveiled her campaign in New York City. In between munching on chocolates (the launch was at Dylan's Candy Bar, what can we say?), we quizzed the actress on her beauty routine, her love for sneaker wedges, and why she doesn't believe in fashion moment regret. Peep our exclusive interview with Sarah below!

The friendzone: it's a real thing, you guys. And while we certainly can't speak for all the dudes and ladies out there, this platonic, perpetual side-hug relationship status is not usually a desirable place to be. At least that's how it is for Toby Miller, the constantly friendzoned protagonist in the new flick Ladies Man: A MADE Movie. Based on the namesake MTV series that helps normal kids achieve their goals of being fashion designers, sports stars, and more with the help of a pro coach, this fictional feature-length special premieres TONIGHT on MTV at 9/8c. So will Toby finally shake his brotherly persona and be transformed into a stud (or, as he so eloquently puts it, "a man whore")? We'll have to tune in to find out! But before all that goes down tonight, we've got a couple of fashion tips right now to help Toby get a head start in his escape out of the friend zone. Ready, set, go!

Paramore

Alright, we admit it: we totally freaked out yesterday when Paramore stopped by the studio to chat about their new album and play a handful of songs for MTV Live. And while THAT was undeniably awesome (seriously, "Misery Business" is still amazing after all these years!), it just got even better. Hayley Williams and co. premiered their video for "Still Into You" late last night, and it's a dreamy piece of perfect pop punk fun. We could go on and on about each and every aspect of the clip—the boat floating in the balloons, that bike scene, Hayley's adorable dances moves—but because we're ALL about the fashion in these parts, let's get right down to it. We've stalked the internet to track down the clothes in the video for you, and good news! Most of Hayley's pieces are actually affordable, and available online right this second. Find out how to get them yourself below!

"True Grimes" in 'Style.com/Print.'
Photo: Nick Haymes/Courtesy of Style.com

The last edition of Style.com/Print saw Cara Delevingne working a striking lipstick-smudged mouth on its cover, and now the mag's returned with a slick new issue featuring another one of our favorites. This time it's Grimes, who shows off her fashion stuff in designer duds by Altuzarra and Jeremy Scott and fills the publication in on life when she's not on the road. Photographed in her home in Vancouver (literally, in her house!), this "True Grimes" spread stars the musician chilling on the cluttered counter and lounging in bed... with her teddy bear, no less. Proving that her endearing humility and effortless style is no act, Claire Boucher remarks to writer Jonathan Durbin that despite sitting front row at shows like Chanel last season, she's still sort of a fashion newbie. In fact, she says, "I had never read fashion magazines until I was in them." Wait, what?!

We've already loaded you up on tons of dream dress inspiration this prom season, from the wallet-friendly frocks to splurge-worthy options, but you know what? Let's take a break from gowns for a sec because now it's officially time to talk hair. If you think about it, there's no better place to get prom hair ideas than from the red carpet. After all, these two events actually have a LOT in common: the search for the perfect dress, finding comfortable-but-still-chic shoes, and the inevitable time spent in front of the mirror getting ready. The only difference between us and Hollywood's "It" list is the fact that they have a team of experts helping them primp. But because we love you, we tracked down the masterminds behind some of our favorite red carpet hair looks this season from Kristen Stewart, Amanda Seyfried, and Sarah Hyland. These pros gave us the complete breakdown on how to recreate the styles yourself as well as the products they used (although your own bathroom stash will work, too). Check out the step-by-step instructions below!

KRISTEN STEWART AT 2013 KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS

Kristen Stewart KNOWS how to get people talking, and at the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards we obsessed over her tousled fishtail braid (as well as her daring short suit!). The actress's hairstylist, Adir Abergel, told us how he achieved the effortless hair look.

1. On slightly damp hair, apply Fekkai Perfectly Luscious Curls Wave Activating Spray from roots to ends.

2. Using a diffuser, blow dry hair and scrunch it with hands to create a rough, voluminous texture.

3. Next, rub a dime-size amount of Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream between your hands and sweep hair back and up off of the face.

4. Starting at the crown, create a fishtail braid down the middle of the head. Secure the end with a clear elastic band. Gently pull the braid apart for a deconstructed look and let a few pieces of hair frame your face.

5. Finish the look by misting Fekkai COIFF Sheer Hold Hairspray all over to keep the style in place all night.

Miley Cyrus leather shorts

Miley Cyrus wore leather basketball shorts to Pharrell's birthday party.
Photo: Via @MileyCyrus' Twitter

From her sheer, studded and embellished pre-Grammys dress to her black and white striped Chanel jumpsuit, we're already well aware that Miley Cyrus isn't exactly the traditional type when it comes to formal dressing. However, the singer took her daring approach to a whole new level this weekend when she attended Pharrell's 40th birthday bash (happy birthday, P!) in... leather basketball shorts?! Yep, that happened, and leave it to Miley to be probably one of the only people in the universe to pull off the risky look. They're from En Noir men's collection, which the pop star alluded to on Twitter, saying "Girl in boys clothing." Clearly stealing from the guys is a real thing these days (see also: Ciara), and it's a trend we can definitely get behind. She paired the luxe bottoms with a crop top courtesy of Maison Martin Margiela and Simone studded leather jacket. While Miley kept most of her outfit on the androgynous side, the star DID add one decidedly feminine touch: killer Saint Laurent sky-high heels.

Just in case the shoes, the clothes, and, ya know, THE MOVIE ITSELF weren't enough, here's yet another reason to get pumped up about "Spriiiiiing Breaaaak!" The good people over at Opening Ceremony have just rolled out a spanking new lookbook for the retailer's Spring Breakers-themed collection, and it's every bit as sundrenched and scandalous as we'd expect. Shot by photographer Annabel Mehran, the glimmering shoot showcases the pieces we've already obsessed over from the OC x Spring Breakers capsule, styled with a few bonus items from brands like Rihanna for River Island and more. Not surprisingly, we want it ALL.
