We've been SO excited about the Costume Designers Guild Awards here at MTV Style, we've been counting to the big night with a series of exclusive interview with the masterminds behind some of our favorite outfits (catch up on them here!). The ceremony finally went down yesterday in Los Angeles, and the stars turned out to support their fave designers like Jacqueline Durran of Anna Karenina and Mirror Mirror‘s Eiko Ishioka, who each won the top awards for Outstanding Period Film Award and Outstanding Fantasy Film, respectively. And while we're serving up a huge congrats to all the winners, right now we HAVE TO discuss the gown that Mirror Mirror star Lily Collins rocked on the red carpet, because, well, it's amazing. The monochrome floor-length frock comes courtesy of Paule Ke, with a deep V-neck and an oversized white bow across the back. The look might not be quiteeee as backless as Selena Gomez these days, but the simple yet stunning cut is enough to make ANYONE sit up and take notice.

Rita Ora Calls Out Cara Delevingne With 'Queen Delevingne' T-Shirt

We ALL know that Rita Ora and Cara Delevingne are BFF. They call each other "Wifey," pose for Rankin together, and document their friendship for everyone else to see on Instagram. Luckily, our love for the two of them is so huge, we're able to get over our major case of FOMO and forgive them for the fact that we're missing out on such rad times. Siiiigh. But just in case you had any doubts whatsoever about their closerthanthis friendship, Rita really sealed the deal this weekend when she attended the Burberry runway show during London Fashion Week wearing a t-shirt with CARA'S FACE ON IT! It's a good thing you can never have too much Rihanna in your life, because let's be real: the girl has been EVERYWHERE these days. Between dropping her bare-all music video for "Stay," slaying the style game at the Grammys, and oh, debuting a little side gig called the River Island collection this weekend, she's doing enough to make anyone feel like an underachiever. In conjunction with all these projects, the pop star graces the April cover of ELLE UK, which we've got a sneak preview of right here! The magazine has *thankfully* leaked the image about a month early, showing Rihanna peering seductively over her shoulder dressed in a minimalist black and white ensemble.

'Girls' Costume Designer Jenn Rogien On Mesh Tanks, Shorteralls, And More Of The Show's Iconic Outfits [Interview]

Just as Girls has become your mom's, grandfather's, and basically everyone's conversational lightning rod for discussing the "twenty-something" phenomenon these days (exhibit A, B, C...), an equal amount of ink has been spilled dissecting the show's costumes. It might seem weird, considering the fact that Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, and Zosia Mamet's characters don't dress THAT differently from the majority of kids flooding the streets outside our apartments right this second...but then again, that's exactly the point. Costume designer Jenn Rogien manages to hopscotch the line between being relatable (sometimes wrinkled, outfit repeats, and decidedly imperfect) while still making sense for TV. Easier said than done, right? After all, if Jenn just decked them out in clothes we can pick up ourselves at Urban Outfitters, it would be beyond boring. It's Hannah and the rest of the crew's kookiest, most unexpected outfits that make the show's costumes so freaking fun...and cement them in your memory long after the episode has ended. Just before the Costume Designers Guild Awards happen this week (it all goes down on Thursday!), Jenn let us pick her brain on dressing the Girls in mesh tanks, sleeping bags and everything in between. Glitter Goes Downtown At Topshop Unique's Fall 2013 Show

Considering its celeb cult following, global customer base (ahem, the entire MTV Style staff included), and well-deserved rep for churning out uber-trendy, supercute goods time and again,Topshop is used to major hype happening loooong before the first model steps onto the runway. But this season the U.K. brand took things one step further, making its Fall/Winter Topshop Unique fashion show even more interactive than usual with Google Hangouts beforehand, streaming backstage access, and model cams on catwalkers like Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn. Because we'd do practically anything for Topshop, we set our alarms for bright and early this morning (9 a.m. on a Sunday?! Bleghhh!) to watch the action as it was happening from London. Some highlights: getting up close and personal with Louis Tomlinson in the Hangout beforehand, spying on Demi texting in the front row pre-show, AND the ability to replay the whole thing over and over again. Oh, and THE CLOTHES.

We love Cara Delevingne. You love Cara Delevingne. OK, let's be real: everyone in the fashion industry loves Cara Delevingne. And why shouldn't we?! This girl has given us more than enough reasons to obsess, dominating the catwalks (she made cameos at Anna Sui, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Jeremy Scott, and about a zillion others this week) while simultaneously killing the street style game with her '90s-inspired off duty uniform. But don't assume the English supermodel is just a pretty face...in fact, she has about 50 different kinds of faces, from the ridiculous to the badass and everything in between. Passion Pit's Stylist Talks Dressing Sophia Bush For "Carried Away" Music Video

Happy Valentine's Day, y'all! Whether you're the type of person to go all out for February 14 or just wait patiently for the candy to go on sale tomorrow, we've got a VDay gift everyone will appreciate. The boys from Passion Pit dropped their new video for "Carried Away" this morning, co-starring Sophia Bush as half of a young couple dealing with the euphoric highs and depressing lows of a relationship. And —spoiler alert!— while Sophia and frontman Michael Angelakos's lovey dovey vibes might not last, at least she looks great throughout the whole thing...even when she's smearing lipstick on her face or wielding a scary knife. The manic pixie dream girl secret? According to stylist Leila Baboi, this result involves over TWENTY outfit changes, mostly from emerging designers.

Lana Del Rey Goes Back to Her Retro Style Roots For "Burning Desire" Music Video

It seems like forever ago when we first announced that Lana Del Rey was the new face of Jaguar cars (come to think of it, it kinda was...) But now, almost six months later, we've FINALLY got a first look at her new campaign! The Jaguar F-TYPE Convertible ad comes in the form of a super slick new music video for her forthcoming single "Burning Desire," penned and performed by Lana herself. The clip dropped this morning, and showcases LDR singing sultrily and giving off major glam retro vibes — what else is new?— dressed in a floor-length silk vintage gown by Ghost. The gorgeous outfit is pure Lana: retro with a body-hugging silhouette that fits her curves so perfectly, it's almost like she was POURED into the dress. It's no secret that our girl loooooves white, but it seems she's swapped her recent foray into the '80s for a tried and true classic Lana look.

Miley Cyrus Attends Rachel Zoe And Marchesa Shows During New York Fashion Week

Oh HEY, Miley Cyrus! We've been wondering where the pop star would touch down during Fashion Week ever since she first hinted on Twitter she'll be attending the shows. But despite our prediction that she'd cruise straight to London, turns out the singer made a pit stop in New York City! She sat front row at pal Rachel Zoe's show this morning alongside her mom Tish and Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Joanna Coles — which actually makes TOTAL sense considering Miley is the mag's newest cover girl. Oh, and did we mention she looks killer? Because she does. Miley may have had some wardrobe issues pre-trip, but judging from her red hot Rachel Zoe jumpsuit, clearly she got 'em sorted out.

Topshop's High Tech Fashion Show Will Feature Model Cams, Google Hangouts, And More

London Fashion Week begins in two days, and Topshop is making sure everyone scores a front row seat and a backstage pass to its Sunday show...yep, even those of us who aren't lucky enough to be making the trek across the pond. The U.K. brand has just announced a new partnership with Google Plus, giving up close and personal access to the models and clothes, and....DUNDUNDUN, perhaps changing the face of fashion shows all together. It's a bold statement for sure, but when else will we be able to live vicariously through models like Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn, as well the buyers, designers and brains behind one of our favorite labels?! Perhaps taking cues from Diane von Furstenberg and her Google glasses last season, select girls will wear HD cameras on their clothes as they walk down the runway to give everyone at home the experience of being a model— virtually, anyway. Think of it as taking the whole "watching Fashion Week in your PJs" thing to the next level. Amazing, right?!
