Lizzy Caplan

Lizzy Caplan in Viva Vena's new fashion film

Just as the curtain of runway glamour opens on New York City and street style peacocking invades sidewalks, the internet has officially bestowed a lump of GOLD onto our laps! This virtual gem comes courtesy of Veva Cava, who are serving up a refreshing New York Fashion Week palette cleanser with their new campaign for Viva Vena. Starring our MTV Style crush Lizzy Caplan, this clever, hilarious, and totally good-humored parody of "serious" fashion films hits all the right notes, starting with the faux "Best Fashion Film Festival Ever" award at the beginning to her oh-so-trendy flower crown idly floating away at the end (~*symbolism*~). These vintage typewriters, ribbon dancing, and Lizzy's empty expressions might be hilarious, but you know what's NOT a joke? Viva Vena's really cute clothes, which debut later this month. For now, watch the video in all its tongue-in-cheek glory below and just TRY not to crack up...

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus wears black and white striped pants from MotelRocks.

We first pegged black and white pants as trending way back in October, just in time for Halloween. But turns out this isn't just a flash-in-the-pan fad, because three months later we're still obsessed, and it's all thanks to Miley Cyrus. The actress and singer has proven her achromatic jeans to be a tried and true closet staple, often wearing them with a black top, combat boots and some key accessories. She tweeted a photo in the studio earlier this week, pairing her MotelRocks pants with a tank top, huge hoop earrings, and a black beanie, and then just days later our girl's at it again! This time, she's posing with Lil Mama in (slightly) smaller hoops and short-sleeves. Hey, Miley's clearly onto something— jailhouse stripes, Beetlejuice bottoms, whatever you want to call them. They're everywhere these days, from the Marc Jacobs runway to our fave style bloggers, and we've rounded up the best pairs to buy for yourself below!

Hayley Williams

Paramore covers this week's 'The Guardian Guide.'
Photo: via 'The Guardian Guide'

Fact: Hayley Williams can wear just about ANYTHING and make it look good. The Paramore frontwoman shops at the Target kids section, works baby bangs, flaunts Mickey Mouse tights, and now she's gracing the cover of The Guardian Guide in a duct tape dress. Ok, maaaaybe it's not QUITE the same as those taped prom dresses some girls wear to their high school proms and you can barely see it tucked under her leather jacket, but still— this Cheap Monday frock has statement tape accents splashed across the bodycon gray silhouette. The dress first debuted back in 2002, and of course, just like basically everything the singer wears, it's sold out. But who says you have to scour eBay for the real thing? Thanks to American Apparel and duct tape from your local hardware store, this is basically the easiest DIY project ever.

Willy Moon.

We didn't think there were too many dudes who could pull off a formal suit with the same swagger as, say, Mark Ronson or Justin Timberlake, but now that Willy Moon has graced us (and our iPods) with his presence, let's just say there's DEFINITELY room for more than one well-dressed singer in our lives. The New Zealand-born musician first made waves back in the fall when his breakout single "Yeah Yeah" was featured in an Apple commercial, but nowadays he's gaining traction for his slick style as well as his old-meets-new rockabilly sound. This 23-year-old has killer dance moves (you've got to see it to believe it), major vocal pipes, and an onstage style that's captivated British VOGUE, our little sisters, and everyone in between. And while people have been quick to peg his onstage steez (David Bowie! James Dean! The list goes on...), Willy tells us his inspiration isn't inspired by a particular person, but an idea. "On stage I dress like a rock'n'roll villain," he said over email last week. "I love the cartoonification of characters." This animated quality can be seen in the video for "Yeah Yeah," where the singer performs front and center in a slim-cut powder blue suit and a perfectly groomed coif. "We had an enormous selection of clothes, but I ended up choosing the McQueen suit because the blue really suited the way we wanted to shoot the video," he remembers. "I've always liked 3-piece suits and hated ties so it was a perfect combination."

If you're not familiar with the faces below quite yet, you better hurry up and hop on board the Little Mix train, STAT. These former X Factor UK contestants-turned-girl group are already bonafide pop stars overseas (32 million YouTube hits, NBD), and now they're on the fast track to conquering the U.S. music scene with their debut single "Wings." The addictive R&B-inflected dance track officially dropped last year, but as of today those of us stateside can finally buy the song for ourselves. And with an equally awesome video, we can't really think of a better way to give Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall a true American welcome than to break down all of the rad outfits the girls wore in "Wings". So what are we waiting for?! Let's do this!

FACE TIME

The vid kicks off with up-close-and-personal shots of each of the girls— in other words, the perfect band intro AND a foreshadow of the individual looks to come. From Leigh-Anne's red lips to Jade's major lashes, it's clear the beauty inspiration is just beginning.

Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne begins her 'LOVE' Instagram takeover.
Photo: @TheLoveMagazine Instagram

Fashion Week is upon us, you guys! And whether this means lugging your clothes to the dry cleaners so you'll have something to wear to shows or just prepping your PJs to livestream the collections on your couch, here's one thing EVERYONE should do: start following LOVE magazine on Instagram, because Cara Delevingne has officially taken over. This season's model MVP, new British VOGUE cover girl, and pro-Instagrammer is documenting her New York fashion week adventures for the masses. So far she's mostly 'gramming kissy pictures with Kate Moss, Karl Lagerfeld or her own LOVE cover, but we know it's only a matter of time before more of her trademark funny faces make their way into our feeds.

Hayley Williams Paramore

Hayley Williams rocked these Mickey Mouse tights for a photoshoot last week.
Photo: Getty Images/ @HBall1988 Instagram

It's been WAY too long since we last heard from Paramore, but good news: they're baaaaack! After a three-year hiatus, the Nashville rockers have returned for an upcoming eponymous album and a major tour *Pause for screaming, confetti, and long-overdue celebration.* We've still got a while to wait— it all goes down in April— but that's OK, because we'll just keep refreshing Hayley Williams's Instagram feed until then. The band's frontwoman has been posting more outfit snaps than usual on both her personal account and the group page, showing off crazy pants, her black boot obsession, and customized Vans sneakers. Our new favorite item, though, HAS to be this pair of graphic tights that the 24-year-old snapped over the weekend, with the caption simply saying "Photoshootin'." Wait, photoshoot for WHAT? Don't keep us hanging here, Hayley...

Harry Style burberry

Harry Styles wore a Burberry shirt this weekend.
Photo: Getty Images

He cleans up nicely in a suit and tie and rocks a preppy blazer like nobody's business, but let's be real: Harry Styles isn't the type of dude to take fashion TOO seriously. And this, among about a zillion other things, is one of the reasons why we love him. But while the One Direction singer isn't too cool to model grills and chains, would he really go so far as to snag a shirt from his mom's closet?! According to Grazia, Harry's been sharing clothes with his mom, and this is the prime example. The pop star celebrated his 19th birthday in London this weekend, sporting some perfectly-mussed hair (duh) and a heart print shirt from Burberry's Fall/Winter 2013 collection. He wore the navy and white patterned top buttoned up all the way to the collar (which means his chest ink stayed hidden) and paired it with black jeans and brown ankle boots, a more casual take on how the look was styled on the runway less than a month ago. But as for the rumor that Harry stole the shirt from his mom? We're skeptical, and here's why.

spangled sunglasses

Spangled's new SS13 collection.

Ever since Rita Ora donned these TOTALLY EYE-POPPING (yes, literally) shades several weeks ago, we've been unable to get the pop star's monkey-adorned frames out of our minds. We're talking haunting-our-dreams status here, so obviously we HAD to track 'em down for ourselves...and you guys, obviously. Turns out these rad accessories are by NYC label Mercura, whose awesomely embellished sunnies are also beloved by celebs like Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and the girls from Girls. These limited-edition baroque, glittered, and animal shades aren't cheap at $500-plus a pair, but the brand is clearly onto something, because even more sunglasses companies are following suit with their own embellished versions. Case in point: London-based Spangled, who just rolled out their new Spring/Summer 13 collection. With an adorable lookbook, it's impossible NOT to be obsessed.

Beyonce

Jennifer Lawrence at the 2013 SAG Awards.
Photo: Getty Images

• Jennifer Lawrence was the talk of the Screen Actor's Guild Awards this weekend not only for her Best Actress win, but for her amazing Dior Couture gown (which, by the way, she DIDN'T rip...).

• Rihanna's Rolling Stone cover is heeeeere! Let's relive the amazingness in all its glory, shall we?

• After watching Beyonce's Super Bowl teasers over and over (and over...), we've noticed a common rehearsal outfit theme: stripes. Could this be a hint of what she'll wear on Sunday?

• It's practically impossible to choose, but if you absolutely HAD to: between A$AP Rocky and Adam Lambert, who wore this Kokon to Zai hoodie best?!

• Hot, hot, heat! Miley Cyrus brings it big time on the cover of the March issue of Cosmopolitan.
