There are stylish musicians, and then there's Miguel. This dude is a real fashion force to be reckoned with, thanks to his uniquely on-point uniform (pompadour, biker jacket, t-shirt, check!) to his rockabilly-meets-hip-hop onstage influences. It didn't take long before our eyeballs became used to seeing the soulful crooner crank up his trademark slick style in videos like "Adorn," but now he's taking it to the next level in the new vid for "How Many Drinks (Remix)" featuring Kendrick Lamar. Seriously, though, does it get any better than HEAD-TO-TOE Saint Laurent?! In this case, no way. We already know Miguel's a huge fan of Hedi Slimane, but rarely do we land the opportunity to witness the French label's Nehru collar shirts and Cuban heels in action, not to mention on one of our favorite musicians (accompanied by a swoonworthy soundtrack, no less!). Luckily, the singer's stylist Jasmine Benjamin was here to dish on ALL the super-luxe fashion stuff crammed into this glossy 4-minute clip. So get the scoop below!

Ryan Lochte

The man himself, Ryan Lochte.
Photo: MTV

Those signature grills, the epic sneaker collection, that inescapable catchphrase (you know what we're talking about...). Yep, Ryan Lochte is truly one of a kind. Isn't it crazy to think that just a year ago we had absolutely NO idea about the Lochte mania about to sweep America during the 2012 Olympics?! Now the swimming champ is pretty much everywhere, chatting about the intricacies of Speedo design on Jay Leno, launching "Hardcore Workout" DVDS online, and firmly cementing "Jeah!" into everyone's vocabulary, whether we asked for it or not. Now the golden boy has taken his infamous Lochte-isms to reality TV with E!'s new series "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?" Just before the show premiered on Sunday night, the swimmer and unabashed fashion enthusiast stopped by MTV to chat about his goal to spread "swimming awareness," how he prepped by watching The Kardashians, and of course, his plans for a clothing collection. We first heard murmurs of Lochte-branded shoes and "glitzy" accessories several months ago, and now we've got the official scoop on his design ambitions right here. Find out when we can expect the Ryan Lochte fashion line below!

carly rae jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen at the 2013 Juno Awards.

Let's all give a round of applause for Carly Rae Jepsen, who DOMINATED the Juno Awards last night in more ways than one. Not only did the singer take home three trophies total from the annual Canadian music ceremony (Album of the Year, Pop Album of the Year and Single of the Year!), but she ruled the style game as well, sporting a handful of very different looks throughout the night. Carly kicked off the evening on a seriously bright note, matching the yellow carpet in a sunshine-y sleeveless gown. Embellished with jewels along the neckline, the dress's high-low hemline shows off the pop star's legs and her white heels without becoming a full-on mini, making the mullet cut possibly the perfect seasonal transition piece. Plus, thanks to simple touches like her black and white patent clutch and a side fishtail braid, the entire look simultaneously reads lowkey and glam. After all, who says you can't have it both ways?

rihanna rita ora

Rihanna and Rita Ora both wore sports jerseys as dresses.
Photo: Splash News/ @RitaOra's Instagram

From the runways for brands like DKNY to athletes-slash-clotheshorses like Iman Shumpert and Russell Westbrook, there's NO doubt that sporty style has returned for another major fashion moment. Now the ultimate staple in athletic wear, the jersey, has officially made the jump from the field, the rink, and the court smack dab into the middle of the music world. Case in point: Rihanna and Rita Ora, who each rocked her own take on the jersey while out and about in California recently. Rihanna repped the NHL (who knew she was even a fan?) in a long-sleeved vintage black, white and red Ottawa Senators jersey, which she paired with strappy gold Tom Ford heels and red lipstick. The one item noticeably absent from her glammed-up West Hollywood look was pants. But then again, leave it to Rihanna to turn a makeshift dress into clubwear and still make it work.

Ke$ha matches her nails, necklace, and rings to her gold grill for "Crazy Kids" album art.
Photo: @iiswhoiis Instagram

Ke$ha has been a seriously busy lady these days, between her MTV Movie Awards cameo, her performances at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and Logo NNNAwards...and not to mention, preparing to premiere her new TV show My Crazy Beautiful Life on April 23. But wait, she's not finished yet! This morning the singer surprised her Animals by dropping the new art for her single "Crazy Kids" upon the world, saying "get. ready. ANIMALS!!!" Oh, you BET we're ready. She's recruited Will.I.Am. for the remix version of the already-addictive track, and not surprisingly, the cover art is equally awesome. She's ditched the blue lipstick, face paint, and glitter of yesteryear for a completely barefaced beauty look. No masacara, no eyeliner...NOTHING. While this shocking lack of makeup might appear to be the next natural step in her "Stepford Ke$ha" evolution, the gold grill, nose ring, manicure, and jewelry still keep it from looking too, y'know, normal. Phew!

Uniqlo shows off its print game on the runway and in its new Uniqlo collab.
Photo: Style.com/Courtesy of Uniqlo

Matching is SO overrated. At least that's the case with Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty, the founders of New York label Suno. Since its inception back in 2008, the brand has won a well-deserved cult following for its mishmash of fabrics, colors, and exotic patterns, all of which are sourced everywhere from Kenya to Peru to its home base in Manhattan. It's easy to swoon over the eye-popping goods at Fashion Week and on stars like Solange, but it's decidedly tougher to work up the spare change to snag a Suno original for our own personal wardrobes. Until now, that is, because Max and Erin are the latest additions to Uniqlo's Designer Invitation Project and are officially joining forces with the mega-retailer on a capsule of pattern-perfect designs. Filled with floral motifs and stripes that take cues from "Japanese Americana" (as well as their own runway pieces, as evidenced above), the collection is a total prints PARTY, and everyone's closet is invited. So who's in!?

Can your clutch hold all of your prom emergency items?!
Photo: ASOS/ Shopbop/ Urban Outfitters

Sure, it might look simple, but let's be real here— packing your purse for prom is NO easy task. If you're doing the whole pre-prom photo sesh, fancy dinner, the dance itself, and the after-party, well, chances are you'll need a bunch of stuff to get you through this epic marathon night. So let's talk strategy, shall we?! First of all, the bag you're carrying will most likely be a tiny clutch, which is heavy on the style factor but not so much on the whole practicality thing. If you're still on the hunt for a bag, we're loving this seafoam green envelope clutch from ASOS, the Jillian Minaudiere sparkly number from Club Monaco, and House of Harlow's reptile pouch for their slightly-larger-than-average storage capability and undeniable chicness. But regardless of which clutch you bring, the stuff you take with you will need to be small, posses multitasking capabilities... or better yet, both. Because NOBODY wants to be left stranded on prom night, we've dutifully rounded up our favorite tried-and-true essentials to pack in your purse in case of any beauty emergency. See our must-bring list of products below!

rihanna

Rihanna wears Tom Ford at the 2012 Met Gala.
Photo: Getty Images

As the presumed man behind Justin Timberlake's slick makeover for The 20/20 Experience, it's not exactly a secret that Tom Ford likes to dip his fingers into the music world every now and then. But it turns out JT is only one in Ford's lengthy love affair with performers. In a new interview with WWD, the designer tells editor Bridget Foley about his re-entry into the runway world, how he handles critics, and why shocking audiences can sometimes be a good thing. And really, who's better proof of that last point than Rihanna?! Ford dishes that the singer is one of his favorite muses because she can rock the eponymous label's signature eye-popping looks with serious swagger. Recalling a tricky head-to-toe pink patchwork look from his Fall 2013 collection, Ford says, "And if you’re Rihanna, if you’re that kind of person who can pull off matching hot-pink boots, skirt and jacket, and patchwork multimaterials, I think it's great." Great. Yet another skill Rihanna magically possesses that 99% of the population can only DREAM of having...

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez in Julien MacDonald and Marco Marco at 2013 MTV Movie Awards red carpet.
Photo: Getty Images

I think we can ALL agree that Selena Gomez hit a fashion home run at the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday, ruling the red carpet and stage in not just one, but two gorgeous traffic-stopping ensembles. In addition to that shimmery gold Julien MacDonald minidress she rocked during the pre-show, Sel heated things up big time for her sizzling performance of her new single "Come and Get It" in a Bollywood-inspired Marco and Marco number. But what's the real story behind this pair of eye-popping looks?! InStyle got the scoop from Selena's stylist herself, Basia Richard. According to Richard, that glitzy red carpet ensemble was originally intended for the performance (!), but "Selena fell so in love with this dress that it was instantly her first choice for the carpet." In the end, though, Sel went with a fiery red Marco and Marco piece that Richard customized with Swarovski crystals and gold details, which, heads up, we'll see again in an upcoming video!
