Beyonce getting silly at her halftime show rehearsal.
Photo: Beyonce's Tumblr

While it doesn't give us many (or any, really) clues about what Beyonce is going to wear for her Super Bowl XLVII halftime performance, her newly released "Countdown To Touchdown" rehearsal video certainly gives us some info about her rehearsal style, and also about what we can expect from her on Sunday. With a grip of dancers and some typically-Bey-mazing (yeah, we went there, what?) choreography, we pretty much can't actually wrap our heads around what's about to go down in four short days. While we bugged out over Bey's "Can I Live" sweatshirt and her hometown pride Brooklyn Nets tee from Junk Food (both of which are currently available for pre-order), in this video her look is much more toned down. Beyonce is rehearsing in a black on black on black leggings, tee, and beanie combo, and switches between a pair of black uggs and more performance-ready heels throughout. While this is reassuringly similar to the look we're regularly rocking at yoga class, Bey still manages to make the simple outfit look way more awesome than we will ever look. In anything. Ever. Sigh. Also according to the video this is just DAY ONE of rehearsals. Does that mean we have more of these to come? Watch the first video after the jump, and get inspired to amp up your own athletic style!

Rihanna on the cover of Rolling Stone.
Photo: Rolling Stone/Terry Richardson

I bet when Rihanna and Terry Richardson get together they have quite a time. Can you imagine? I bet they make a lot of dirty jokes. It's probably raunchy and amazing. Last week, we presented you with a mystery: what magazine cover was Rihanna shooting with Terry Richardson on January 21st? Terry posted a photo of himself with the singer on his Instagram, and just days before, Rihanna tweeted about shooting a new cover. The possibilities are endless for these two, though (both being on top of the world and all) so we were left with little but speculation and a vague hope that maybe this had something to do with her River Island line. An ad campaign? Something entirely new? Probably a magazine shoot, though, we thought. Well, as of midnight today, all has been revealed: Rihanna was shooting the cover of Rolling Stone that fateful day, and the results of the shoot have been revealed in all their glory. While we're a little disappointed that Ri isn't wearing that throwback polo bucket hat from Terry's candid snap, her beauty game is so on point that we can't really be mad. (When can we ever be mad at Rihanna? Never. Not even when she held us captive, it's insane.) Looking directly into the camera, Rihanna is bronzed to perfection with pale pink lips and thick lashes. This cover is all about how wildly gorgeous the pop star is, something that has been much remarked upon but is easy to forget amidst the outfit changes, new singles, and various and sundry other news. She. Is. Insanely. Beautiful. I personally kind of don't think she's human. You know what else is incredible about this cover? Her hair. [UPDATE: See more photos from the shoot after the jump!]

Justin Timberlake and Tom Ford.
Photo: Getty

If ever you're talking about menswear, there's a fairly high likelihood that at some point Tom Ford will come up in your conversation. The designer-slash-film director (of 2009's A Single Man) is a suiting legend, having served as creative director for Gucci and YSL before launching his eponymous line. We all know menswear has been on Justin Timberlake's mind lately, with his new single "Suit & Tie" making waves with its sartorial subject matter and the accompanying lyric video. Not to mention the fact that we haven't even seen the full length music video yet. In the aforementioned lyric video, JT is outfitted in what are clearly expertly tailored wares, and their provenance is revealed through the flash of a tag, revealing that none other but Mr. Ford himself is behind them. This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise--Justin has been wearing Tom Ford on the regular for awhile now--but little did we know that it wasn't just the lyric video that the two had teamed up on. In fact, Ford is designing Timberlake's suits for the official video as well, and for the album and single's accompanying artwork. The full album, called The 20/20 Experience, will be released on March 19th. What did Tom Ford himself have to say about his collab with the great JT? See for yourself after the jump!

Justin Timberlake in Tom Ford at the 2013 SAG Awards.
Photo: Getty

You KNOW we're beyond obsessed with the return of Justin Timberlake, and feel like "Suit & Tie" is a song made just for us, so you shouldn't be surprised that we were literally swooning when we saw JT step onto the 2013 SAG Awards red carpet this evening. We figured he would go classic for his first-post-lyric-video-suit-wearing occasion, maybe in a black Tom Ford? Oh no, that's too easy for the suit and tie master...JT stuck to Tom Ford but fully committed to being the flyest dude in the red carpet game by opting for a brown and fawn plaid suit, muted brown plaid shirt and navy wool tie. We know what you're thinking: that's a LOT of plaid, and yeah, plaid on plaid on plaid is a major fashion statement, but you know what we're thinking? It's a statement in the best way. Need we even mention his pocket square? That Gatsby hair? Need we? Ok yeah, more on all that after the jump!

Katy Perry performing at the Kids Inaugural Concert, and then at the inauguration ceremony.
Photo: Getty

We're so into the way Katy Perry stans for President Obama. There are many celebs who will ride for our newly sworn-in Commander-In-Chief, but are any of them rocking custom latex ballot dresses and attending EVERY event of the inauguration? No, just Katy. Having closely followed her time on the president's campaign trail we were eagerly awaiting Katy's inaugural weekend looks, and were CRUSHED when more of them weren't easily accessible to us online. Luckily, Vogue had our back, and linked up with Katy to publish her Inauguration weekend photo diary. Not only does it let us see candid shots of her custom stars and stripes bustier (which she designed HERSELF, along with stylist extraordinaire Johnny Wujek), but also her amazing Rodarte Inauguration ceremony coat, Oscar De La Renta performance dress, Dolce & Gabbana White House After-Party CAPE, AND her custom Kimmie Kyees patriotic nails. Ah-May-Zing. The photos really do make us feel like an insider, and of course possess that signature KP humor.

Sundance Style

Brit Marling, Dakota Fanning, and Amanda Seyfried at Sundance.
Photo: Getty

I'm really sick of winter, are you? Everything was ok until about a week ago, when it was no longer warm enough to go without gloves and the injustice of not being able to use my iPhone with my favorite cashmere hand warmers (which I got pre-iPhone, no smart gloves here) became positively infuriating. Well maybe it wasn't THAT serious, but it is really cold, and I'm really starting to hate all of my sweaters. Maybe that's why Robert Redford decided to have the Sundance Film Festival in January, though: good old Robert knew that all of the cute starlets showing off their Park City style would be just the kick in the pants our tired winter hating closets needed to get through until spring. With the festival now in full swing and continuing through the end of the week, there are already some totally killer looks warming up our chilly hearts. Actresses Brit Marling, Dakota Fanning, and Amanda Seyfried showed off three different looks, all super cozy. Get more info on their cold weather styles after the jump!

Michelle Obama with President Barack Obama at the 2013 Inaugural Ball.
Photo: Getty

It was on this same night four years ago that Jason Wu went from a young designer to a household name, as the then brand new first lady Michelle Obama walked out in one of his dresses at the inaugural ball. He's had a big couple of years, scoring a collab with Target and launching Miss Wu, but being selected to once again dress the FLOTUS on one of her biggest nights is nothing short of a coup for the designer. The custom made chiffon and velvet dress the first lady wore to dance with her husband to "Lets Stay Together," sung by Jennifer Hudson, was nothing short of breathtaking, with a high, halter neckline and draped back. Choosing red, rather than her first inauguration's bridal white was spectacular, and Obama looked fresh and fierce with her brand new bangs.

Tavi Gevinson and her character in Cadaver.
Photo: Getty/Cadaver

FINALLY! You know when something is announced and then you get bits and pieces of news and then you wait and wait and finally feel like you should just give up on the whole buisness it's been so long? Yeah we know you do. That's how we felt about Cadaver, Jonah Ansell's macabre, heartbreaking animated short starring Rookie EIC Tavi Gevinson, Katy Bates and Christopher Lloyd. Not only does Tavi voice the lead character, a reluctant, sensitive med student who begins to dissect a cadaver only to have him come to life on her, but contributes to the short's soundtrack, performing Neil Young's "Heart Of Gold" and Pet Shop Boys' "Heart." Tavi hinted in her Bust magazine interview that Hollywood might be her next stop, in what is already at just 16 years, a VERY accomplished life, and her performance in Cadaver is certainly a step in that direction. Watch the full short after the jump and let us know what you think in the comments!

Joan Smalls.
Photo: MTV

In addition to being one of our totally incredible House Of Style hosts, Joan Smalls is so major in the modeling world that sometimes we simply can't believe that she's a real human. How did she do it? We ask ourselves, and want to look at her under a microscope to see if she's made of something different than we are. Well, now we don't have to do anything weird and totally creepy to find out how Joan Smalls became one of the most featured models in Vogue last year, because MTV's This Is How I Made It are doing that for us. Airing this Saturday at 12/11 Central, the episode explores Joan's childhood in Puerto Rico, how she first got into modeling, and the journey that she's been on since then. We have a sneak peek of the episode, with a clip in which Joan talks about following her passion for modeling, no matter what her family thought. Unwilling to completely go against her father's wishes, though, Joan figured out a way to become the model she is without sacrificing the thing her father thought was most important: a college education. And the really amazing part? Not only did Joan GO to college and finish super quickly, but she also graduated magna cum laude. How is this woman human? Watch the video after the jump and tell us what you think!

A look from Kenzo's FW 2013 show, and Jamie XX performing at Brixton Academy.
Photo: Getty

The shows may be all about the clothes, but here at MTV Style, they're also all about the music. The models are only on the catwalk for a few minutes, but at the best shows, the audience is not only transported by the looks they're watching strut up and down the runway, but also by the overall experience that's created. The music chosen to showcase the collection says a lot about the overall philosophy behind it, and so it's without a doubt one of the most important aspects of the whole show. For their Fall/Winter 2013 menswear show at Pitti Uomo in Florence, Italy, Kenzo complemented their "Jungle in the Sky" theme with an ethereal yet hard-hitting mix from Jamie xx. Building from sparkly chimes and smooth sax into minimalist percussion and then a dreamy piano and synth melody, the 9 minute mix combines elements of ambient sound, spacious house beats, and sassy interjections. Basically, it captures the sporty, clean feel of the clothes themselves to a T. Sad you didn't get to be there to see it yourself? Well, our friends over at Opening Ceremony were there, and you can watch the show and hear Jamie's mix in the video after the jump!
