Rihanna 'Stan Swag': Shine Bright Like A Diamond With Rad RiRi Merch

I have a very special relationship with Rihanna merch. First of all, it only seems fair that I tell you that as I write this post I'm wearing a pair of white Skullcandy headphones branded with Rihanna's Unapologetic artwork, and when I write our publishing lineup in the morning, it's in a notebook emblazoned with the same 'R,' all courtesy of the swag bag I got when Mary H.K. Choi and I were ~~imprisoned on a plane with a bunch of lunatics~~ flown around the world by the nice people at Island Def Jam. I also own a pair of socks with Rihanna's face on them. Basically, if you looked at me right now, you would think I was a major Rihanna stan, and even, maybe, a bit of a creep. But I think I've earned my stripes as a bona-fide member of the Rihanna Navy on the 777 Tour, so whatever haters, dress me up in overall crop tops and RiRi Woo, because I'm about it. As the release of the 777 Tour documentary—also known as the moment you get to see certain MTV Style contributors sleeping with their mouths open on national television—inches ever closer (it airs on Fox, Monday May 6th, lord help us all), and Mary and I prepare to attend Rihanna's Diamonds tour at Barclay's Center, I feel like I need to share some of my Rihanna swag knowledge with you, Internet. Because you're going to want to show your RiRi pride while you're hip-thrusting along to "Phresh Out The Runway" and sobbing to "Stay," trust.

Florence Welch, Nina Dobrev, Andre Leon Talley And More Shimmer At 'The Great Gatsby' Premiere

A sparkling collar here, all over baroque shimmer there, iridescent separates—opulent outfits were de rigueur at last night's premiere of The Great Gatsby, with attendees taking a thematic approach and dressing as though they could be attending one of the title character's infamous parties. Interestingly enough, the film's stars kept things a little more subdued, albeit classic, but more on that later. The most obvious trend of the night was embellishment, with jewels, embroidery, and metallic fabrics causing some serious oohs and aahs. Florence Welch took to the red carpet in a dramatic navy Miu Miu gown with a jeweled collar, matching tie and a slit up to there. She let the dress do most of the talking by keeping her bright red hair back in a loose bun, and wearing minimal makeup. Nina Dobrev took the baroque approach, wearing a body-con Versace sheath, gold Rupert Sanderson heels, Susan Foster drop earrings and her hair in loose, modern waves. And finally, our king of the night Andre Leon Talley took to the carpet in an iridescent gold tunic top, purple pants in the same shiny fabric and, of course, a pair of black Uggs with a red monogram. While it wasn't a traditional premiere look, ALT's flashy getup was certainly in keeping with Gatsby's themes of excess and luxury. Not to mention his arm candy: Andre had none other than Anna Wintour, resplendent in all-white, by his side.

Nicole Richie Takes Us On A Tattoo Removal Journey With Her New Webseries '#CandidlyNicole'

Nicole Richie is HILARIOUS. She got her start on reality TV alongside bestie Paris Hilton on The Simple Life, and has proven her on-screen style savvy as a mentor on NBC's Fashion Star alongside Jessica Simpson and John Varvatos. Not that we had ANY questions about Nicole's style smarts—she is the design mastermind behind House Of Harlow 1960, Winter Kate, AND an eponymous Macy's line, not to mention a street style staple. Combining her gifts for humor and sartorial flair, Nicole is back on the small screen with her new AOL webseries #CandidlyNicole, based on her irreverent Twitter feed, and we have to say, it has us in stitches. In the first episode, Nicole pays a visit to Dr. Tattoff (not his real name, but don't tell Nicole that), to inquire about having an unfortunate piece of body artwork removed. Listen, we're not going to judge anyone's youthful indiscretions, but we agree that maybe a cross tramp stamp isn't the look a stylin' mother of two is going for. Nicole chats with the good doctor, as well as with some of her fellow prisoners of bad decisions, who are in the market to remove tats as classic(ally bad) as twin cherries or as confusing as a neck tattoo that says "TIMETRAVELER" but "everyone thinks it says 'Timberlake.'" Ummmmmm, good luck with that. Nicole actually has NINE tattoos, but she isn't looking to get all of them removed "just the embarrassing ones."

Florence Welch, Katy Perry, And Carey Mulligan Are Pretty In Prada At 'Dress Gatsby' Opening

It's unfortunate that the word 'timeless' is so overused, because there are some things that really deserve the designation. Miuccia Prada's designs are one of those truly timeless things, and that fact has never been more apparent than at the opening of "Dress Gatsby" at the Prada flagship store in New York City. Showcasing the 40 dresses costume designer Catherine Martin hand-picked for the pivotal party scenes in The Great Gatsby, the exhibit was a chance for party goers to see some of the modern designs that fit so seamlessly into the period piece, proving that anachronism is truly in the eye of the beholder. Although the gilded gowns were designed in and for the modern day, they don't pull you out of the roaring '20s feel of the film for a moment (at least from what we've been able to gather from the trailer). Also showcasing the sleek lines and delicate details of Prada's designs were some of the event's attendees, who ranged from those intimately acquainted with the Gatsby dresses—the film's star Carey Mulligan—to soundtrack contributor Florence Welch and, of course, celebs who are fans of the label, like Katy Perry, who broke up the crowd clad in minimal black in a graphic, muted purple floral dress with black and white detailing.

See Costumes From 'The Great Gatsby' Up Close And Personal At The Prada Store

You may have to wait another 11 days until The Great Gatsby is released, but if you're in New York City tonight and you want to get an up close and personal preview of some of the sartorial aspects of the film, you're in luck. Prada will be showcasing a collection of the dresses from the film at the SoHo flagship store, beginning this evening and running through May 12th, at which point it will migrate across the Pacific to Tokyo. Miuccia Prada worked closely with costume director Catherine Martin to choose 40 looks for the film, all showcased in the two major party scenes. The designer spoke with Women's Wear Daily about the collaboration, highlighting the way that her designs took on new meaning within the context of the film. In one of the film's pivotal scenes, and no spoilers because all this is in the trailer, Carey Mulligan wears Prada's spring 2010 "chandelier dress," a gown that is all beading and movement, and, Prada says, “[the dress] was meant to be about light,” speaking of her original concept, but going on to say that for the film “it became about money, because [Luhrmann] wanted to show her as the most beautiful and rich woman on earth.”

Haim Are Sunkissed And Silly On The Cover Of 'ASOS' Magazine

It's no secret that we love the sisters Haim around here. We've just about worn away the play button on all of our various devices hitting repeat on their 2012 single "Don't Save Me," and we MAY have even sung it in karaoke more than once. Maybe. Beyond just crafting one undeniable hit after another and putting on one of the best live shows we've seen in AWHILE, the sisters also have great style, both as a group and individually. We've chatted with them (and their music video stylists) about it in the past, and we're overjoyed to see it captured so well on the June cover of ASOS magazine. The girls are each wearing looks that reflect their style, with Alana, a.k.a. BabyHaim, wearing an ASOS crop top emblazoned with the year '1990,' middle sister—and resident tomboy—Danielle in an Ashish sequined numbers oversized shirt dress, and eldest sis Este in an ASOS crop top and Antipodium metallic skirt. The shoot is sunny and fun and the photos look as though they could almost be candids from the sisters' own lives in their native LA.

Chemistry is a real thing, and it can make ALL the difference in a photo spread. The Haim sisters are obviously super comfortable with one another, not just from playing in a band together but from, you know, growing up in the same house for their entire lives, and the ease and humor with which they interact is undeniable. On the cover, Este gleefully makes a mustache with Danielle's long brown hair, and the interior shots are no less playful. The girls manage to make a chain link fence look as exciting as a rollercoaster ride in shiny jeans and a T-shirt for Danielle, a psychedelic, Tumblr-meets-canyon-lady maxi dress for Este, and, of course, Alana's signature jean shorts and a graphic long-sleeved shirt. Are you taking notes? We certainly have been. The mag is available now on the ASOS Fashion Up app, available from the app store.

You Can Buy Celebs' 2013 Met Ball Looks The Day After The Red Carpet Thanks To Moda Operandi

Moda Operandi, how do you keep making our 2013 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art dreams come true? First there was the PUNK: Chaos to Couture inspired designer capsule collection, and now the runway-to-retail innovator is taking it one step further: come May 7th, you'll actually be able to buy the dresses right off of the Met Gala red carpet. Details are limited, but Popsugar reports that the designers involved in the collab include Anthony Vaccarello, Wes Gordon, Balmain, Nina Ricci, and maybe more. Each of the designers worked alongside Moda Operandi's Indre Rockefeller, who serves as Director of Ready-To-Wear for the site, on the sale, and although there is still no word as to which celebs will be wearing the get-em-now gowns, with designers like those we can only surmise that they'll be major.

Katy Perry Is Spring Ready For The White House Correspondents' Dinner And Washington Sightseeing

If you want a guidebook for how to do spring dressing right, look no further than Katy Perry. The singer has transitional dressing down pat, and her recent weekend in Washington for the White House Correspondents' Dinner is a perfect example. For the big night, Katy wore a luminescent green Giambattista Valli gown with natural, branch-like detailing at the waist. The color reminded us a lot of Katy's mint green Gucci Grammys dress, and has us wondering if we're going to be seeing the singer in more leafy hues as the warmer months progress. The strapless gown looks almost to be made of acetate, with the green giving way to brown in places, lending the whole look a very fairy-like vibe. In keeping with the natural tone, Katy wore her makeup neutral, with a pink lip and subtly-lined eye taking no shine away from the dress. Her hair was also loose and natural, pushed to the side in thick curls.

There's no doubt that the '90s are back, and with them comes a hearty dose of rave-inspired fashion. Some of us, however, are still being treated for the emotional scars caused by our own forays into rave dressing in our youths (nightmares of parachute pants and double buns haunt our dreams), and aren't ready to dive head first into the trend. That doesn't mean we have to be pariahs, however, and with Illamasqua's new Paranormal UV nail polish collection, we can bring that glowstick vibe into our day to day lives without having to make too much of a commitment. The collection will be available in stores and online April 30th.

This year's Time 100 list of the most influential people of the year felt a little bit like it was made with input from our very own brains. Some of our favorite musicians, politicians, and thinkers were honored, and they turned out in their very best at Time's celebration last night. In particular, some VERY well-dressed gentlemen stood out. Frank Ocean left his usual sneakers at home in exchange for a totally traditional tuxedo and *gasp* dress shoes. Can you believe it? We're into it. Meanwhile, Miguel went in the opposite direction, bringing a splash of bright blue to the otherwise pretty classic red carpet in black pants and a graphic, mirror print button-down. He accessorized the springtime look with black chelsea boots and assorted rings. Back on his suit and tie...well, you know, Justin Timberlake took Frank's lead in a classic tux with a crosshatch patterned jacket that we would be willing to bet is by his friend Tom Ford. Justin looked positively rakish with his hair parted to the side and falling in front of his face just a little bit. Handsome gentlemen, all. *Sigh*
