Holland Roden interviewing Karlie Kloss on the 2013 MTV Movie Awards red carpet.
Holland Roden has guts, and we're not just talking about being brave enough to wear that plunging (and GORGEOUS) Donna Karan dress. Getting up on the "style stoop," as she called it, to host the 2013 MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet Report requires bravery, even for a seasoned style correspondent like Holland. It's no surprise that she did a fantastic job, chatting with stars from pre-show correspondent and supermodel Karlie Kloss, Chloe Grace Moretz, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, JWoww, and many, MANY others. She got to the bottom of not only what the biggest stars were wearing on the carpet, but also what inspired their looks, what their favorite 2013 trends are, and many more of the burning questions you've been dying to know the answers to. Not to mention, it's SUPER cute to watch Holland get all starstruck while talking to Karlie because, c'mon, you know you would be too.
Quvenzhané Wallis at the 2013 Movie Awards.
There is some incredible accessories game on the 2013 MTV Movie Awards red carpet this year. Glittering, beautiful jewels, yes, but also some more unexpected accoutrements. While a certain cigarette hat may have taken some of the shine on the carpet early on, Beasts of the Southern Wild's Quvenzhané Wallis gave us a bit of a start when we saw that she had broken form and wasn't carrying her signature puppy purse on the carpet. Don't freak out, though, because she WAS still wearing one of her signature Poochie & Co. handbags, only this time, it was a kitty! Q's pink and gray feline matches the hot pink in her outfit, and looks totally purrfect (we had to, come on) with her studded purple high tops.
Chloe Grace Moretz in Louis Vuitton, Topshop, and Jimmy Choo at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards.
Move over Texas tuxedo, there's a new all denim look in town. We knew that Carrie star Chloe Grace Moretz would BRING IT at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, but we were not expecting her to totally reinvent the way we think about head-to-toe denim. Chlo Mo styled her Louis Vuitton pre-fall 2013 patchwork denim jumper OVER a Topshop denim shirt with Jimmy Choo heels, keeping the carpet fun in true Movie Awards style. Let's count the washes represented here, shall we? Starting from the top, Chloe's light denim collar is actually a Topshop shirt layered under her LV dress, the bodice of which is a dark denim wash. The skirt is where things really start to get crazy. Variations on traditional denim washes are patched together with one swatch in the classic Louis Vuitton monogram print, a little touch that we LOVE. So what pop star inspired our girl's look tonight? Do we even have to ask?! Rihanna, of course!
Emma Watson is all smiles as she talks about her new film.
Could 2013 be the year of the good girl gone bad...for a movie role? We've certainly seen Emma Watson be mischievous and maybe even get a little crazy in her past roles, but if the exclusive MTV Sneak Peek clip of her upcoming film The Bling Ring is any indication, our dear Ms. Watson is about to get a lot badder. If her now infamous in-the-club-body-roll (which we now know is Beyonce-inspired) from the first trailer didn't tip you off, pole dancing in Paris Hilton's "club room" (LOL) definitely should have—our 2013 MTV Movie Awards Trailblazer Award winner is going all out in her new role. And that doesn't just mean in the dance moves department. In her interview with MTV After Hours host Josh Horowitz, Watson revealed that she had to take some sartorial risks for her Bling Ring part as well. "I can't wear this because you can see the bra straps," Emma recalled saying in the dressing room one day, as she looked at the costumes for her character, Nicki. What was her director Sofia Coppola's response? "You really need to reverse your whole world," is what Emma recalls her saying. From then on, the star, who is no slouch in the fashion department, we have to say—she wears some of our favorite looks on the red carpet, bar none—embraced all of the things that her character Nicki loves. From Uggs to neon, to everything in between.
Miley Cyrus in leather shorts.

• Beliebers across the world had a collective freakout when photos of Justin Bieber's Dortmund, Germany photo call appeared on the internet. Why, you ask? Well, because of his hair, OBVIOUSLY. The singer brought back the side swept bangs that were his signature way back when. MAJOR.
• We've had Demi Lovato's "Heart Attack" in serious, play-button-breaking rotation since it came out, so when the video was released this week, we just HAD to break down every outfit. And those diva hands? Perfect.
• What does one wear to Pharrell's birthday party? Well, if you're Miley Cyrus, leather basketball shorts.
• Twinsies! Rihanna and Kanye West have both worn the Kokon to Zai metalhead sweatpants, but the real question is: who wore it better?
• Want to smell like a doughnut made of rainbows but not sure what scent will get you there? Look no further than Mariah Carey's twelfth fragrance (uh huh), Dreams.

Romance, you guys. Prom is a great many things—a chance to have one more night with all your friends before high school ends and the big, bad future swallows you up, a chance to look AMAZING in a fancy dress, you know—but it's also a big deal in terms of puppy love. Relationships and crushes alike feel SO MAJOR in high school that one slow dance can feel like you've died and gone to swoonsville and being asked to prom is a very exciting prospect. When I was in high school, I went with my best dude friend Dave, and I can't even remember how he asked me, I think we were walking through the halls after choir and he was just like, "Hey, wanna go to prom with me?" and so we did. This was before YouTube, OK? Stakes are way higher for today's prom Don Juans, though, with flash mobs, viral everything, and the internet getting all up in everyone's business. Which brings us to the topic at hand: THE PROMPOSAL. You kids these days, you're CA-UTE. Just a quick spin through the #promposal hashtag on Twitter is enough to melt the stoniest of bitter hearts—from the expected roses all over cars and hallway banners to the, well, downright weird, people are getting CREATIVE. We found a few promposals that we thought really captured the spirit of the trend, and the girls who received them were kind enough to share their photos with us!
After doing some research on both Allison Murphy and her boyfriend Luke's twitter accounts, we have learned that they REALLY dig cereal. In particular, they're really into Barbara's Bakery Puffins. We assume that this means the two of them, you know, hang out after school and snack on cereal, so wasn't Luke being sneaky when he altered a box of their fave treat to ask his lady to be his prom date? Cute, cute, cute. Love a man who can get crafty. Also, he wore a tie (we're hoping he did it for the occasion and not as part of a school uniform) when he did it, which is so on point. Gentlemen, take note: when asking a lady to prom, make sure you look right. You hear us?
Selena Gomez Stan Swag.

Selenators, rejoice! In mere days, your queen Selena Gomez will be taking to the 2013 MTV Movie Awards stage to perform her new single, "Come & Get It." The "earthy" performance promises to be one of the night's highlights, and for you, dear Sel stans, we think it's fair to guess that it will be your favorite moment. While you've probably already started planning your viewing party (and if you haven't, chop chop!), we scoured the internet for some Selena-inspired stuff to really take it to the next level. While we suggest creating your own DIY "S-E-L-E-N-A" banner to welcome your guests, there are even more killer ways to show your love for the Spring Breakers star.
Whether you're going to weekend one or weekend two, there's no denying that Coachella is upon us. That's right, the yearly celebration of bandeau tops, headbands, and...wait, it's about the music? Oh right, we forgot, sorry. Sometimes it can feel like our favorite festivals get a little lost amid all the celeb sightings and street style snaps, but we are a style blog after all and honey, we know you want to look good no matter what. In the true spirit of Coachella, we decided to build a series of looks inspired by some of our favorite bands playing the fest. After all, it's not next-level nerdy (like wearing a band's t-shirt to their show *collar tug*) to dress thematically, right?!
KURT VILE AND THE VIOLATORS
Vibe right to Kurt Vile in easy chambray.

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say that Wakin' On a Pretty Daze is one of the best albums of the year. If you're not familiar with Philly longhair Kurt Vile, familiarize yourself right quick because your life will never be the same. The album is filled with sweeping, chilled out guitar jams that make us feel as warm and fuzzy as a springtime crush, and we just know that seeing Vile play the songs live in the desert will be a moment worth swooning over. For enjoying some Vile in style, you'll want to make sure you have your vibes right. The Summer Feeling Dress ($88.00) from Nasty Gal is a way to wear denim while still feeling breezy, and paired with Marais' field boot ($92.50) you'll be ready for whatever adventurous path the night should take. Of course if we're talking about vibes you need to have your crystals on lock, and this raw rose quartz necklace ($38.00) from Etsy will protect you against anyone or anything that should try and send a bummer your way. Accessories should be kept to a minimum in the hot summer sun, so a simple pink seed bead bracelet ($9.99) from Madewell and a red accented threaded belt ($6.80) will provide a pop of color to keep you from blending in too much with the sky and the earth. Finally, some sunnies, like the SUPER Lucia Puma Sunglasses ($269.00) and a simple cross body bag--so your hands are free to hold tight to whoever makes you feel aforementioned spring crush feelings--like the the Essex Minibag ($98.00) is perfect for carrying anything you might need.
AnnaSophia Robb on the cover of Seventeen.
Have the Wednesday blues got you down? Well, here's some sparkle to light up your mid-week. AnnaSophia Robb is the May Seventeen cover girl! The Carrie Diaries star is all smiles on not just one but TWO covers of the legendary teen mag, and they're both so cute, please don't make us pick favorites. We can hardly believe it's already summer cover time, but indeed it is, and on the first cover AnnaSophia is wearing a floral swimsuit that has us positively swooning. A structured one piece with a mirror print of english roses and frills at the neckline and around the leg openings, the suit is NOT your average Speedo. Styled with a bright yellow cardigan and chunky, layered necklaces, the cover is part day by the pool, part dress up. Our favorite part, though? You can just make out that our cover girl is wearing bright turquoise eye shadow!
Snoop Lion takes a stand against gun violence with MTV and Jewelry For A Cause.
In Snoop Lion's new video for "No Guns Allowed" (featuring Drake and Cori B), he takes the issue of gun violence head on, speaking out against the prevalence of firearms while also depicting (sometimes graphically—watch with caution if you have issues viewing things related to guns) the horrors that they create. In association with Snoop and Jewelry For A Cause, MTV has joined the fight to get illegal guns off the street through the new MTV x Caliber bracelet ($40), which is made of recycled steel and still displays the serial numbers of the illegal guns that they were made from. The limited-edition unisex bracelets are now available for pre-order at caliber.MTV.com, and a portion of the proceeds of each bracelet goes to benefit the Newark Police Department's illegal gun buyback program, which is also where the jewelry originated. That's right, each of the MTV x Caliber bracelets comes from a gun that was surrendered to the buyback program and will help fund the continuing existence and success of the program in the future.
