Rihanna performing during her Diamonds World Tour, and a face chart of her MAC makeup look.

You might remember when we had a veritable freak out over Rihanna's collaboration with MAC and her "RiRi Woo" lipstick (I mean, it's perfect). Well, we've been in a constant state of freak out ever since, what with her epic tour looks and the news that Rihanna for River Island will have a second season, but now we can put all of our excess energy to good use! Vogue got all the details on Ri's Diamonds tour look, which was conceived by MAC senior makeup artist Christopher Del Castillo, and highlights her "RiRi Woo" lip color. It's not a stretch for Rihanna to wear a red lip as the foundation for her tour look — Ri has become known for her impeccable crimson pout, and we love the idea that MAC built a whole look around her signature.

Madonna

Madonna at the 2013 GLAAD Awards.

Madonna has a few "axes to grind" with society, and she aired her grievances last night at the 2013 GLAAD Awards before presenting Anderson Cooper with the Vito Russo award. However, her political commentary began before she stepped onto the GLAAD awards stage. It started when she got dressed to go to the event and slipped into a stylized, grown up-sized Boy Scouts of America uniform. Madonna wore the uniform as a form of protest, signaling her stance on the organization's notoriously homophobic beliefs.

Beyonce wearing Julien Macdonald on 'Good Morning America' in 2011.
Photo: Getty Images

When Beyonce's The Mrs. Carter Show tickets went on sale, you did NOT want to be in our office. It. Was. Intense. (Lots of yelling.) Needless to say, we're all really excited for Bey's shows this summer, mostly because we cannot WAIT to see what Queen Bey is going to wear! We wagered a couple of guesses (based on Bey's epic Thierry Mugler-costumed announcement images and her Rubin Singer leather look for the Super Bowl Halftime show), but it turns out neither of those looks were indicators of Bey's complete tour steez. Grazia Daily reports the superstar has tapped red carpet fave Julien Macdonald to design her tour looks. The UK designer has created performance outfits for Beyonce before, including her 2011 Good Morning America appearance (above) and 2013 New Year's Eve performance in Las Vegas.

No boring concert tees for us.
Photo: Etsy

Justin Timberlake has been on my mind a lot. Sure, it's because we've been chronicling his "Suit & Tie" steeze and waiting not-so-patiently for The 20/20 Experience to drop, but let's be real, I (and I think I can speak for the rest of MTV Style when I say this) never really stopped thinking about JT, since all the way back in his N'SYNC days. Those frosted tips will forever hold a place in our 12-year-old hearts. In fact, I asked my best friend, whose bedroom wall was a veritable shrine to mid-to-late '90s teeny-boppers, whether she had a photo of JT up there (I could only specifically remember a giant picture of Paul Walker), and she replied with an unprintable, all caps portmanteau that I can't repeat here but involved "absolutely" and another, less polite word. Always the hunkiest of the boy band members, Justin was everyone's pre-teen fantasy boyfriend, and he hasn't really fallen out of favor as we've all grown up. While we may no longer decorate our bedroom walls with pictures of hot celebrities (I mean, I don't, but more power to you if you still do), there's something to be said about being a fan and showing it. Maybe a normal person would wait until Justin and Jay-Z come to their city and buy a concert tee, but that's so totally boring when the internet has a whole host of more creative ways you can show off your stan status.

Nicki Minaj in Tom Ford on the cover of Elle.
Photo: Courtesy of Elle

It's wild that seeing an incredibly recognizable, super famous woman without makeup could be described as anything close to shocking, but we have to admit, it sometimes is. We're used to seeing Nicki Minaj done up with the bright pink lipstick, full lashes and flawless hair. Sure, she's been simplifying her style in the new year, but it's still nothing close to the no-makeup look she's rocking on the April cover of Elle. With her long blonde hair loose, damp and wavy and not a single dab of color anywhere on her face, Nicki looks like she could have just (flawlessly) gotten out of the shower. Photographed by Thomas Whiteside and (of course) styled by Joe Zee, Nicki is wearing a Tom Ford leather jacket on the cover, and very little else, save for a pair of American Apparel leggings.

demi lovato short hair

Demi Lovato's new shoulder-length hairstyle.
Photo: @ddlovato Twitter

We've been admirers of Demi Lovato's flawless (often rainbow colored) super long locks forever—she was included in our Best Hair of 2012 list not once but four times—so we have to admit, we were a little shocked when the singer tweeted a photo of her brand new short haircut! Demi has taken the plunge that we regularly consider but are never brave enough to actually go through with, and to be honest, we're kiiind of kicking ourselves right now because it looks ADORABLE. Opting against the super trendy blunt bob with bangs (aka "The Karlie"), Demi went for a simple, fringe-free look with subtle layers, and we're totally feeling it. But really, this girl could pull off ANY hairstyle, right? Right. It's kind of nuts.

A clothing line designed with the help of the editorial team at Teen Vogue?! Yes, please. Macy's announced today that they've teamed up with the glossy for an exclusive, fashion-forward juniors line, available in 150 Macy's stores and online TODAY. The spring collection, which includes everything from basics (like printed leggings and tank tops) to jumpsuits to bralettes (and literally everything in between) is priced between $20 and $60. In a comment to Women's Wear Daily, Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Amy Astley explained, "We've had terrific success with our branded mobile game, Teen Vogue Me Girl, and with our bedding collection, so apparel was the next logical step.” We think so too!

Tommy Ton and others shooting Anna Dello Russo in "Take My Picture".
Photo: Garage Magazine

In their new documentary, Garage Magazine explores one of the most vehemently debated, scorned, and defended elements of the current fashion industry: street style. From photographers to bloggers, those involved in street style have come under scrutiny from fashion's old guard as of late, and "Take My Picture" aims to explore and explain some of the reasons why. Whether you're a blogger, an editor, a photographer or a fashion fan, you've probably caught some of the vibes coming from both sides. There was much chatter amongst both bloggers and editors alike when Suzy Menkes published a piece called "The Circus of Fashion" in The New York Times' T Magazine, right smack in the middle of Fashion Month, and "Take My Picture" has set tempers flaring again. Going through the history of street style and, really, fashion in general, the team at Garage starts from the beginning, in the 80's, when nobody cared what was going on backstage. Legendary fashion journalist and Style.com editor-at-large Tim Blanks cites the birth of the supermodel as the beginning of the age of the peacock, citing the fact that Hollywood glamour was waning and fashion glamour was taking its place. Unlike much of the debate thus far, particularly Suzy Menkes piece, the documentary shows many sides of the debate, from Susie Bubble's thought that editors turning up their noses at people who want to be photographed as "elitist," to Tommy Ton's mourning the days when he was one of few photographers in Paris' Tuileries Gardens during fashion week.

Lady Gaga Wheelchair

Lady Gaga's gold wheelchair in New York City.
Photo: Terry's Diary

Lady Gaga
sightings have been scarce since the singer cancelled her tour due to a painful case of synovitis, an inflammation of the joints, and a torn labrum in her hip. We were worried for Mama Monster, but after hearing of her upcoming wedding yesterday, our worry changed to happiness. We're still relieved, however, to see the singer out and about in New York City, photographed by her bud Terry Richardson. Gaga looks her usual glamorous self, although she certainly doesn't look excited to be confined to a wheelchair. What a fabulous wheelchair it is, though. We assumed that Gags wouldn't be caught dead in a regular, hospital issue chair, but even we're a little surprised by how lux her medical device turned accessory is. Crafted out of tufted leather and bright yellow gold, the wheelchair is like something we imagine a little king being confined to in old time-y England (think Colin Craven in The Secret Garden, we're partial to the Francis Ford Coppola version from the 90's, ourselves). Only the best for the queen of the Little Monsters, am I right? UPDATE: We've received an exclusive scoop from the chair's designer, Ken Borochov, that he was commissioned specifically by Lady Gaga herself to design the wheelchair. Ken is the creative force behind MORDEKAI, and has designed pieces for Mama Monster in the past, but nonetheless, he was still surprised to get the call. "I certainly wasn't expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen," Ken said in an official statement. Get all the deets on the Chariot, and Gaga's accompanying look, after the jump!

Taylor Swift in her Diet Coke commercial.
Photo: Entertainment Tonight/Diet Coke

We never thought we would hear Taylor Swift talking about aging gracefully, or at least not yet. But that's exactly what she talks about in Entertainment Tonight's behind the scenes interview on the set of her brand new Diet Coke commercial. She's not talking about wearing long sleeves and remembering to moisturize your neck, however. Taylor is talking about her personal style. We've actually been wondering, as of late, if Taylor has been taking more fashion risks, and it seems that she has, but for no reason other than the fact that she's a grown up lady now, and such things are appropriate. "In my life I've just tried to be the age that I am," Swift says, "so being 23, it's fun to play with your style, it's fun to kind of edge it up once in awhile." She goes on to joke about people saying she's being edgy by wearing shorts for a performance, laughing, "I'm wearing more clothes than anyone here!" We get it though, Tay, you want to try new looks, see what works (which could pretty much be the definition of being in your early 20s). Her new Diet Coke commercials show her playing around just that way, dressed up in everything from a red ball gown to a super tight, silver mini dress, with every other look along the way. We can't wait to see the full commercial, but in the meantime, watch the behind the scenes video after the jump!
