The first look at A.P.C.Kanye.
Like clockwork, July has rolled around, and accordingly, so has the official confirmation of that long-time rumored Kanye West x A.P.C. collaboration. Brace yourself for a bit of shameless gloating coming from this direction of the interwebz, but we've been tugging your ears (or eyes?) about this for MONTHS. Let's rehash the timeline, shall we? First, A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou mentioned in an interview with GQ (February 2012) that he and Yeezy had "wanted to do something related to clothes that's not high fashion, probably something more sporty," and while "it's mentally in the pipeline" for Touitou, he recognizes "it's just hard to get the guy out of a plane." Several months later (December 2012), Touitou tweeted a photo of the two huddled around a laptop in a black tiled room, presented without comment. Given what we know about Touitou having a recording studio at A.P.C. HQ and Ye's fashion design itch, we assumed they must be collaborating on something. Whether they were working on music or clothes was up in the air (also, for the record, we didn't rule out that they could have been YouTubing cat videos), but those GQ quotes suggested a range of garments ready to be worn IRL.
The thing about 2 Chainz (as so many of my conversations start) is: he's hilarious. How can you not find some place in your heart for an MC who spits, in complete earnest, "She got a big booty, so I call her 'Big Booty'"? Or who rolls up to the Grammys looking like Versace Dracula?? Whether the humor in his lyrics (and in IRL) is completely unintentional or keenly self-aware, to me, is irrelevant—I love him preeeeetty unconditionally. So, it's no surprise that when he dropped the music video for his "Feds Watching" track featuring Pharrell, I was instantly obsessed. The best part? It's teeming with not one, not two, but, like 10 über-chic, stiletto-clad models and a wealth of fashion lyrics (even if we're pretty sure he says "Como des Garçons." Just in case you're as stoked as us on all of the above, we illustrated our fave quotables with stills from the vid. Enjoy!

One look at these shirts and you know what that headline's talking about. Sometimes, either to avoid legal trademark infringement issues or to deny brands free publicity, a logo that sneaks its way into a music video will get blurred or pixelated. Sure, it's present in other genres, even films, but it's most prevalent in the streetwear-heavy music videos of our favorite rappers and has been for ages. The intentional obscuring comes in many shapes and sizes, from a mosaic effect on Pharrell's entire shoe in Snoop's "Drop It Like It's Hot" (minute mark 0:50) to the tee of a renegade extra in Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow" (at 1:57). Welp, now you can feel like you're in a rap video (or at least dress like it) thanks to these "Censored Rap Video" tees. No twerking required!
Selena Gomez performs for the Macy's Fourth of July special on NBC.

Anyone else getting SUPER antsy for Fourth of July? Between the stockpile of American flag swag you've amassed in preparation and the patriotic paint jobs you've been testing on your tips (not to mention the fact that you've had your star-spangled playlist stuck on repeat all week), YOU. ARE. READY. Unfortunately, we all have to wait another day, but we might have something to help tide you over (and keep you and your jean cut-offs from losing your starred and striped minds): a preview of Selena Gomez and Mariah Carey's performance outfits for Macy's "Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular" on NBC.
Just in case you haven't been near a television, computer, or mobile device in the past few weeks, Jay-Z has a brand new album he's dropping on July 4, 2013 (a.k.a. TOMORRROW). He's partnered with Samsung for an unprecedented release tactic where the first 1 million downloads will be available for free via the Magna Carta Holy Grail app on Galaxy phones (S III, S 4, and Note II). In the meantime, Jigga has been unveiling behind-the-scenes sneak peeks and lyric sheets for the new tracks piecemeal every day. Naturally, there are plenty of fashion references (from songs named after American designer Tom Ford and Pharrell co-founded Billionaire Boys Club to a song called "Oceans" that's markedly akin to Kanye West's "New Slaves"), and naturally, we're calling out our favorites (yes, there are actually more than this) and illustrating them for all your Tumblr needs. Enjoy!

Remember how we deduced from Tina Knowles' interview with Grazia Daily that Beyonce's wardrobe for The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour might be constantly subject to change? Welp, Miss Tina did not steer us wrong. The second leg of King Bey's international tour just hit stateside in sunny Los Angeles this weekend, and just as we had anticipated, there were a few sartorial surprises. Tried and true costumes got updates (peep the extra embellishment on the bridal bodysuit!) and Bey bestowed unto her backup dancers some new looks, too!
Rihanna wears giant cardigan to Chanel's Fall/Winter 2014 Paris Haute Couture show.

This morning in Paris, Karl Lagerfeld and his Chanel team debuted their Fall/Winter 2014 Paris Haute Couture collection. By sheer virtue of the designs, the haute couture show guest lists are distinctly more elite than ready-to-wear (specialty pieces versus IRL clothes) which makes for a heavily curated front row. We weren't at all surprised to see that Barbadian beauty Rihanna made the cut (#CCcertified), but we WERE surprised by what she wore: little more than a giant cardigan!
For the first time since early this year, Lady Gaga chose NYC's Gay Pride Rally this weekend as her first public appearance post-hip surgery. Gagaloo didn't just show up, though. She spoke out in celebration of the Supreme Court's decision to rule the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional AND to perform an inspired a cappella rendition of the National Anthem, swapping in lyrics like "Oh say does that star-spangled flag of pride yet wave," and "O'er the land of the free and a home for the gay." Naturally, she also looked fantastic doing it.
Demi Lovato on the cover of "Cosmopolitan" magazine's August 2013 issue.
There's one very good reason for Cosmopolitan to give Demi Lovato her second summer cover for the magazine in a row: she's a smoke show! In case you need a reminder, D fronted the glossy back in July of last year in a canary yellow scuba mini with long flowing brunette waves. This year, Cosmo's summer girl is the face of August in curve-hugging tangerine with a cerulean bra on display, a smoldering expression, and a windblown blonde mane. A few chunky silver accessories finish off Demi's cover look, but there's even more summer-ready Cosmo steez on the inside pages!
Despite sweltering Los Angeles heat, the ladies at tonight's 2013 BET Awards put on their awards show best and turned it out (and up!) on the red carpet. Keeping it season-appropriate, there were very few attempts at gowns (props to Nicki Minaj), with the majority of the night's stunners swinging toward shorter, more summery hemlines. It was a tough job narrowing down our top picks, but that didn't keep us from trying. Peep our selects and tell us if you agree below!

I don't know about you, but a teeny leather bandeau bralette and a pencil skirt aren't exactly my idea of a comfortable outfit, but Ciara makes this look like second skin. C styled Saint Laurent ensemble with simple metallic pointed-toe pumps, silver bangles, and an asymmetrical cropped 'do.
