Russell Westbrook on the cover of "ESPN" magazine's Photo Issue.
If you haven't read Sam Alipour's interview with Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook for ESPN magazine yet, I'm squarely marking it as required reading for every human I care about (consider yourself in that league—yea, YOU!). First of all, the Q&A is incredibly long but only because Russ SO warrants it. For someone catching as much attention (and magazine features, holy moly!) as he has been for the past year, it's a little unheard of for the general public to know almost nothing about him. Welp, thanks to ESPN and Alipour that's all about to change as their conversation is published alongside a candy-colored fashion spread in the mag's 2013 Photo Issue.
The franchise we typically use to celebrate interviews we love that we didn't conduct ourselves is called "5 Things We Learned," but in this case, there was absolutely NO way we would be able to narrow this down to just 5 things. The banter between Westbrook and Alipour is DRIPPING with innumerable nuggets of precious Westbrook history and trivia: how he almost went to Stanford University for academics alone, how sometimes he bowls by himself, how and why he loves math, and the reveal that he has over 100 pairs of glasses (though, that shouldn't come as that huge a surprise all things considered). But trust me, it gets SO. MUCH. BETTER.
A still from the behind-the-scenes video of Beyonce's "Mirrors" Pepsi commercial.

As if the "Mirrors" Pepsi commercial that Beyonce premiered yesterday (along with close to a FULL minute of her new song "Grown Woman") wasn't enough to tide us over to the weekend, the Pepsi x Bey team rolled out a behind-the-scenes video look at the campaign shoot. AFKGLJDFLKAJ. Candid King Bey traipsing around in a robe? Rehearsing her dance steps in sky-high heels? Reflecting on her star-spangled career between takes? Yes, yes, a thousand times, YES. We want it all. The video features interviews with Mrs. Carter herself along with Global Beverage Group at PepsiCo President Brad Jakeman, the commercial's director Jake Nava (also the mastermind behind the "Single Ladies" and "Crazy In Love" videos *WINK*), and choreography director Frank Gatson, but our personal fave is obviously the iconic music video wardrobe breakdown by Bey's long-time trusted stylist Ty Hunter.
While our actual prom days may be long behind us, we're using our fashion powers for good, living vicariously through your spring formal adventures while lending out a (well-manicured) helping hand. Let it be known that a knock-'em-dead prom dress can be found at ANY price point (and that back in the day, THIS editor found hers on the clearance rack of an outlet store [DOUBLE BARGAIN, y'all—I ain't ashamed of it]). We've hooked you up with jaw-dropping dresses for under $150 and a mid-range that won't break the bank, but now... Welp, now we're hitting you with 10 pricier ($350+) prom dresses and why we think they're worth the splurge.
These shiny, sassy dresses are worth shelling out serious dough for.

Pastel is now and will forever be a huge prom staple. It's springy. It's girly. It's prom-perfect. But if you're going to shell out hundreds of dollars for a pastel prom dress, you might as well go ALL out. To us, that means a rendering in metallics and, when possible, a metric ton of all-over embellishment. Take this sequined French Connection mini ($415.63), this mirrored Forever Unique number (£275.00), and the excellent ombre print and color combo of this House of Hackney frock ($438.90) as collective inspiration.
HOMG, y'all. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are performing at our 2013 MTV Movie Awards!!! The Seattle-based duo joins our girl Selena Gomez on the Golden Popcorn performance roster, and we could NOT be more excited about it. Not just because we're stoked on all the excellent music action happening at an awards show dedicated to films, but because our stage lineup is extreeemely fashionable (as MTV Style we care deeply about this). We're light-headed and reeling from being sprung this announcement so early in the morning (it's early for us anyway), but that doesn't mean we're not still going to unpack Macklemore's tag-popping MC steez to predict what he'll wear when he takes the stage with his boy Ryan Lewis next weekend (Sunday, April 14 at 9 p.m. ET). Here we go!
Sleeveless shirts are a Macklemore performance staple.

The Look: A shirt without sleeves worn underneath everything else
The Percent Likelihood of Wear: 99.9999%
The Argument: There are many admirable things about Macklemore, but one of our favorites is his unflappable dedication to performance. The dude is high-octane, running on all cylinders, leaping and bounding and flailing his arms all over the place (purposefully) for song after song after song. He's always moving and never looks tired. With all that activity, he heats up quickly, so you can put money on him wearing some sort of sleeveless number at the base of any stage ensemble no matter the topper. We are (okay, I am) personally gunning for something like this Vancouver Grizzlies throwback basketball jersey but know full-well it'll most likely be a cotton tank.
Beyonce's actual British "Vogue" magazine cover.

Remember that time we hand-drew Beyonce's leaked British Vogue cover? Welp, dropping right alongside a cryptic teaser goading fans to "#BeyHereNow" at 9 AM EDT tomorrow morning (sorry, wait, WHERE is it I should BEY??), the real thing is finally out now! Finally, we get to see the high resolution, full-size, real thing. We get to see Bey in all her baby blue (baby Blue?) striped crop top, sequin pencil skirt, Jonathan Saunders-clad glory. This is exciting to us on so many levels, but perhaps most uniquely to us is the reasoning that now we can check our work and see whether we got any of those guessed cover lines right!
As if the, erm, questionable headlines and double-dose of SMIZE weren't enough to have me talking about Justin Bieber's two Teen Vogue covers for weeks (between status updates on his recently quarantined pet monkey OG Mally Bieber, that is), the teen arm of the Vogue editorial juggernaut also released the rest of Biebsy's feature photos. That's right, Beliebers. On top of two smoldering cover options, Teen Vogue has bestowed unto the world 10, nay, 11 more photos from Justin's shoot with the magazine.
The new images show Bieber from all angles—frontways, sideways, fully-clothed, fully shirtless (though, we suspect he considers his left side his "good side" since over half of the snaps feature it)—and yet, somehow I'm still unsatisfied. Perhaps my expectations are unrealistic. Perhaps it'll take actually purchasing the issue and thereby reading the full interview, rather than this excerpt, for all that to subside, for me to feel like I've really seen Justin in a new light, but MAN, do I still have a ton of lingering questions. I'd hate to bore you, but I also refuse to keep this ish bottled up. Thus, I whittled them down into five catch-all inquires, and well, here they are!
WHAT DOES JUSTIN'S CHAIN TASTE LIKE?
Justin Bieber tastes his chain in this "Teen Vogue" cover shoot.
Photo: Teen Vogue
Three of the Teen Vogue photos picture J.Biebs with the diamond cross pendant of his chain hanging out of his mouth. It raises so many questions. Does Justin have an oral fixation? Was he directed to do this or was this his own idea? Is this a habit he's always had that I'm only just now becoming aware of? But the most important question is: what does Justin's chain taste like? It's gotta be at least kinda good if he keeps coming back to it, right?
In the dedicated sports world, the biggest basketball buzz of the moment is without a doubt the NCAA's escalating March Madness tourney, as the Louisville Cardinals, Wichita State Shockers, Michigan Wolverines, and Syracuse Oranges all head into Final Four games this Saturday. On the fashion side of things, however, it's the men of the NBA who are making the most waves. According to PSFK, retail giant Macy's is updating the store's classic suit and is looking to the pre- and post-game togs of professional basketball players for inspiration.
Demi Lovato matched her nails to her outfit on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

We've seen Demi Lovato show her love of heavy metal hardware from (literally) head to toe, but for her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, she took it to the next level with a jacket printed with trompe l'oeil studs and matching spiked nails. Fresh off revealing her very bare DEMI album art, Demi paid Kimmel and his Los Angeles studios a vist to chat about a grip of topics, from her X Factor experience, how she broke her fibula, and what to expect from her new album.

Twenty years ago today (exactly!), A Bathing Ape designer Nigo opened his very first store "Nowhere" in Harajuku, Tokyo. Since then, BAPE has risen to legendary status as a streetwear mainstay. Over the course of the past twenty years, the label has collaborated with a laundry list of entities from iconic characters (Hello Kitty, SpongeBob Square Pants) to mega brands (Pepsi, MAC) to artist heavy-weights like Kanye West and Pharrell Williams. In celebration of this major 20th anniversary, a select group of 20 artists, including Skateboard P and the (former) Louis Vuitton Don, will collaborate with BAPE on a range of T-shirts and art.
