Alexa Chung’s space-age pearl-studded booties by Chanel were the perfect footwear to pair with her her structured Valentino trapeze top and flouncy skirt at GQ’s Men of the Year Awards in London on Tuesday. In a perfect world, we’d snag our own pair of pearl-accessorized booties (are you reading this, Karl Lagerfeld?), but no such luck. However, what we can get are similar pairs for a fraction of the price, like these pointy-toe boots by Ciao Bella ($94.99), which feature ruched detailing in the front. Or totally bling out with these mirrored booties by Sergio Rossi ($199.95). They'd pop perfectly if you wore them with black matte tights, and they're like little disco balls for your feet. We're also digging a pair of two-tone silver and gold booties by Clone ($148), which have a shiny black and silver heel for extra oomph. As if wearing metallic shoes weren't enough oomph for you already.

The Venice Film Festival always brings out the most glamorous of gowns, and this year's festival — number 67!!! — was no different. It just wrapped up last week, so we've sorted through all of the gorgeous gowns and narrowed them down to our top six favorite looks. Here they are ...

Jessica Alba and Natalie Portman.
Photo: Getty Images

1. Jessica Alba in Valentino
Jessica Alba turned heads with a stunning black Valentino dress at the Machete premiere. Its super-short front and cascading train looked gorgeous. In a smart move, she kept accessories simple with black lace-up Salvatore Ferragamo sandals and hoop earrings.

2. Natalie Portman in Rodarte
Natalie Portman opted for a bolder hue, wearing a red dress at the premiere of her upcoming film, Black Swan. We can’t help but wonder if her decision to wear this beautiful beaded Rodarte had anything to do with the Rodarte sisters designing some of the film’s fabulous costumes.

Elle Fanning and Sofia Coppola.

3. Elle Fanning in Marc Jacobs
The lovely ladies of the new movie Somewhere did their best to represent Marc Jacobs. The film's star, Elle Fanning (Dakota Fanning’s little sis), wore a blue pastel appliqué dress from the designer’s Resort 2011 collection with a pair of Mary-Janes.

4. Sofia Coppola in Louis Vuitton
While the Somewhere star wore Marc Jacobs, so did the film's director, Sofia Coppola, only in Louis Vuitton form (Marc Jacobs designs the LV label, too!). She chose a black dress designed by the designer (who happens to be a long time friend, lucky girl!), from his Louis Vuitton Resort 2011 line.

Michelle Williams and Paz Vega.

5. Michelle Williams in Jason Wu
As for our favorite beige dress, Michelle Williams's Jason Wu gown definitely stood out at the premiere of her new movie, Meek's Cutoff. From Michelle’s sideswiped bangs to the pretty bow detailing on her dress, this super feminine style really worked.

6. Paz Vega in Gucci
Paz Vega’s cowl neck number by Gucci was our favorite metallic look, a gown she wore to the premiere of her new film, Vallanzasca - Gli Angeli del Male. Also, the way she styled it — with sleek, straight hair and a single gold bangle bracelet — pulled the look together so it was fancy, but not overdone.

Miley Cyrus. From top: What Comes Around Goes Around, Rebecca Bonbon sweatshirt, Viva Vena top.

How cozy does Miley Cyrus look on the set of her upcoming movie LOL: Laughing Out Loud? Her gray sweatshirt is comfy and cool, with stud-and-chain shoulders making it more than just a throw-on piece. Embellished sweatshirts like Miley's are a big trend for fall. What Goes Around Comes Around does a great short-sleeve version, and it's currently on sale for $58. We love the colored beading and necklace effect on this one, as well as the raw, ripped collar. For a darker look, opt for Rebecca Bonbon Junior's Acid Wash Studded Long Sleeve Sweatshirt Tee ($21.99), with silver grommet detailing. Or, for the perfect shade of gray, slip on Viva Vena's top ($140), part of Vena Cava's new lower-price exclusive line for Bloomingdale's. Pair any one of these with your favorite pair of ripped jeans, and you're all set.

+ Price: $21.99, $58, $140.

Miranda Cosgrove, this month's MTV Posted artist, sparkled during her performance on the Today show last Friday, mainly because of her glittering gold cuff! This piece of jewelry is the perfect complement to all of the warm camel, hunter green, and brown clothes coming out this fall. So, score the look for yourself. Want a bangle with more bling? J.Crew’s got a Crystal Studded Cuff for $88. And this extra long Antique Gold Cuff ($17.39) has the same aged appeal as Miranda’s, yet looks like we found it at our favorite vintage store. Wear it over a black long sleeve cardigan to make it pop even more. And, for a little over $10, you can grab this Touch of Gold Cuff Bracelet ($10.80) with copper detailing that’s almost identical to Miranda’s.

• Emmy looks we loved: January Jones's bright blue Versace gown, the guys of Glee in their black skinny ties, beautiful bows, glam gold and the Glee girls' gowns in patriotic navy and red.

• Hair went super high this week, from head-topping buns and updos at the Emmys to Elly Jackson of La Roux's "ginger quiff."

• Middle school trends that made a comeback: super stylish socks and temporary tattoos like Whitney Port.

Glee girls went from the small screen to the pages of our favorite magazines! Lea Michele rocked it on the cover of Glamour, while Heather Morris nailed it in Nylon.

• More celebrity hair news: Fergie went back to blond and Anne Hathaway became the latest in a string of celebs to try a pixie.

• This week was full of bold beauty looks: dress-matching lipstick, larger-than-life lashes and beautiful black nails were just a few of our faves.

• All hail accessories! Look at Jessica Alba's clutch and Nicole Scherzinger's chandelier earrings.

Natalie Portman got bit by the purple (dress) bug. And she also knows how to grow out her bangs.

And that's all for the summer, folks! Enjoy the last long weekend of the season, and wear all of your white jeans and summery rompers one last time. Until Tuesday, Happy Labor Day!

Amber Lancaster in Alice + Olivia. From left: Go Jane and Seneca Rising Romper.

Amber Lancaster, who plays Jenny Swanson on The Hard Times Of RJ Berger, showed up to OK! magazine's fifth anniversary party this week wearing a cute strapless watercolor romper by Alice + Olivia. And, as luck would have it, the same exact look — the Skyler Flounce Romper — is currently on sale at for $73 (down from $300!). The piece comes with a purple belt, but we’d take a cue from Amber and pair it with a thick gold chain for an extra punch of glam. You can try her look in different variations, too, like Go Jane’s Ombre Button Up Strapless Romper ($40.30) which features an ombre white-to-red print. Or skip the strapless and go for a halter style with this front snap halter version from Seneca Rising ($134).

+ Price: $40.30, $73, and $134.
