Lady Gaga at NBC's 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards Party.

In the world of music and fashion, a day without a Lady Gaga sighting feels like an eternity. While we got used to seeing Mother Monster everywhere (and in numerous outfits) throughout November and December, she's barely been spotted in the new year. The last time we saw her perform was on The Voice with Christina Aguilera, when the duo wore matching iridescent-gold chiffon outfits. It looks like Gaga may have had some shiny material left over, because she wore a very similar look to NBC's Golden Globes after-party last night.
Taking the name of the awards show rather literally, Gaga joined her BF, Taylor Kinney, on the after-party circuit in a gold lamé dress. While her Voice jumpsuit was billowy and full-coverage, Gaga's Globes dress showed off some skin with its high slit, single sleeve, and bejeweled corset bodice. When LG comes back into our lives, she comes in BIG.
When it comes to discussing the looks of leading ladies, no one finds the words quite like our friend Jarvis Derrell of #shehashadit. Jarvis sat down with Christina Garibaldi from MTV News to talk about the best and *achem* more risky fashion choices from the 2014 Golden Globes. They chat about wearing red on the red carpet, how to pull off a gown when pregnant, and so much more, all under four minutes!

On a scale of one to 10 how often do you wish you could wear pants under dresses? We're hovering around a solid seven. You wouldn't have to deal with tights, you could sit any way you desire, and your look would be party in the front/on top, and business on the bottom/in the back. A mullet for your entire body? We're sold. Best of all, Emma Watson is repping that pants/dress lifestyle on the Golden Globes red carpet right now! #HERO

The 2014 Golden Globes are underway, y'all! Our fave actresses, actors, and musicians are doing #WERK on the red carpet, and we, of course, are keeping up with EVERYthang that's going on. So far, we've seen a lot of solid and color-blocked gowns, and we're only just getting started. We have hours to go, people, so settle in. Plop yourself in front of your TV and sip your drinks. You don't wanna miss what Jennifer Lawrence is wearing, do you? The good news is, even if you do, we've got ya covered.

While you were getting your cheese platters ready for your Golden Globes viewing parties, Zooey Deschanel was showing off her nail art on Instagram and in IRL on the 2014 Globes' Red Carpet. Zooey told Ryan Seacrest that her white-and-gold daisies took a few hours. Well worth the time, IMHO. The attention to detail is obvious: I mean, look at how straight and tiny the petals are! Her middle finger even has two daisies!

• Both Rihanna and Kristen Stewart ditched their shirts in new ad campaigns, and we wondered who did it better. Aren't they cold? It's winter!
• An ad featuring Miley Cyrus for Marc Jacobs appeared out of thin air in the pages of February magazines. Uncharacteristically, Miley is featured wearing clothes. On a beach.
• Harry Styles promised he'd wear his finest gown to the 2014 Brit Awards, so we, naturally, imagined what he'd look like. HE LOOKS GREAT, AS USUAL.
• Sky Ferreira went back to blonde for her first Redken campaign, and we peeped some behind-the-scenes photos from her shoot.
• Beyonce read our collective minds and released new merch, including a "Surfboard" sweatshirt. Prob gonna be wearing this bad boy till it's time to break out an actual surfboardT.

The Brit Award nominations were announced yesterday and, much to the delight of Directioners everywhere, One Direction landed two nominations. Harry Styles tweeted his gratitude to the fans for securing the nomination and then wrote, "Can't wait to put my finest gown on." And we can't wait to see you in your finest gown, Harry. Last year, the five guys wore matching monochrome outfits to the Brits, so a floor-length dress would definitely set Harry apart. Since we can't wait to see what he ends up wearing (and because it's Friday), we imagined what he'd look like in a few different frocks. New computer backgrounds for everyone!!!
(Harry, if you're reading this and decide on any of the following dresses, please thank me in your acceptance speech. You'd look great in any of these! Good luck, bb!)

In this picture, Harry wears a sequined gown from Elie Saab's Fall/Winter 2013 collection. Harry tends to stick to a fairly neutral palette, so the maroon and embellishments are strikingly different from what we're typically used to. The plunging neckline, however, is standard. He likes to show off those chest tattoos, and this dress allows him to do just that.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosting the Golden Globes last year.

If you're anything like us, you may be wishing it was Sunday instead of Friday. Sure, your weekend would be over, but you'd get to see these two beautiful angels of comedy on your television screen! In case you somehow missed the news (I really don't know how you could, TBH), Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are hosting the Golden Globes again this year, and next year, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. In order to properly honor these two women (and to justify spending half of our work day watching Saturday Night Live skits from 2006), we decided to take a look at the fashion from some of their best SNL skits.
Join us, if you will, on a trip down memory lane. If you watch every video you can find, it'll be Sunday before you know it! Perfect weekend!
After Beyonce surreptitiously dropped her new album in the middle of the night, she followed up by sneaking some new merch into her online store. Much like her album, there was no announcement, no indication anything new was coming, and then—BAM—a T-shirt and a sweatshirt that matched the album's cover. Brace yourselves: She just did it again with more new merch!
Now, alongside the swag that joined her on her Mrs. Carter Show world tour dates, are four new sweatshirts in the album's simple pink Sans Serif text plus black-background format. Bey showed off the designs at her album release party, but we had no idea they'd be available for purchase so soon. It's like our best friend (Beyonce, natch) just gave birth to quadruplets and we can't choose our fave! We
want need them all.
Considering we're in the throes of a polar vortex, looking at clothing for next autumn/winter may seem unappealing. We prefer shorts and bathing suits and clothing that makes us believe it will be warm again, not sweaters that make it seem like winter will last forever. Fashion doesn't adhere to our feelings though, and Fashion Week is starting up again, kicking off in London with men's collections. Though these clothes are technically for next fall, there are a few trends we found that we're not sure we'll be seeing at all. Ever.
DEMENTED MICKEY MOUSE

Weirdly enough, two different designers had models walk out with Mickey Mouse ears. "MICKEY IS HUGE FOR FALL 2014, TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW!"—people in the fashion world (or so I imagine). MAN attached Mickey's iconic ears to a baseball cap and accessorized it with something you'd likely find in a dentist's office/nightmares, while Kate Eary constructed a plastic Mickey mask, complete with a red mohawk. I'm pretty sure this would not fly on the subway.
