Don't go overboard with the Valentine's Day accessorizing.

As you are probably well aware, Valentine's Day is on Friday. While some people go all-out with reds, pinks, hearts, cupids, whatever, we prefer a simpler approach. There are plenty of options for you to acknowledge that it is, in fact, Valentine's Day without gluing hearts made of doilies to all of your clothes. We've rounded up a few accessories that are perfect for a low-key Valentine's Day look (and that you may even wear on days not found in February).
On Valentine's Day, this XOXO ring could mean "hugs and kisses," but on any other day, it could be just two of your favorite letters on a ring, next to each other. The delicate letters are pretty and subtle, so your finger won't be screaming "I LOVE/NEED/WANT HUGS AND KISSES," but will be nonchalant like, "Oh, the letters on the ring are also the way I sign all my emails." Cool.
A still from Mariah Carey's 'You're Mine (Eternal)' video.

If you watched the "MTV First" premiere of Mariah Carey's new video, "You're Mine (Eternal)," you may have noticed mermaid Mimi is totally topless, save a whole lotta glitter. If you're a hardcore Lamb, or just someone who enjoys watching Mariah Carey videos on repeat (guilty), you may have realized this isn't the first time Mariah has bared almost all in one of her videos. In fact, she's done it at least four previous times. For a woman who loves her some clothes (see: her closet on MTV Cribs), she often opts out of them for videos. She's gotta separate her home life from her work life, y'know? Check out all of Mariah's past near-nude video appearances below!
Alexa Chung, Anna Kendrick, and Chelsea Leyland at New York Fashion Week.

Are we really in the homestretch of New York Fashion Week already? It feels like just yesterday our favorite celebs, models, and designers were descending upon New York City to deliver us entertainment and fashion and now, in two short days, they'll disappear until September. Let's not dwell on the future, though, and instead embrace what we have now: celebrities at fashion shows.
Lydia on 'Teen Wolf.'
If you're still weeping/shaking/holding loved ones close after last night's Teen Wolf, join the club. Poor Stiles! Poor Sheriff Stilinski! Poor Scott, Allison, Lydia, and Isaac, who had to go to school after no sleep! Since I'm not entirely equipped to discuss supernatural beings, this post will focus on something I am capable of talking about: hair.
You may have noticed that Lydia was mysteriously absent in last week's episode—well, I think I know where she was was: watching hair tutorials on YouTube. Her hair game was SO on-point last night. Her first look was an ~updated~ ponytail, which looked straightforward from the front, but then, she turned around and—BAM—it's an entirely different story. The ponytail hangs to the side and is wrapped around itself. Sure, it's messy, but in a chic way. If my hair looked like that one day in my life, I'd be happy. And take a lot of pictures.
Angel Haze, Solange, and Holland Roden at New York Fashion Week.

Now that we're on Day Five of New York Fashion Week, we've grown familiar with who is in New York and attending shows. (Anna Kendrick is all over, to the point where I think she may have cloned herself.) Angel Haze, Solange, and Holland Roden attended shows yesterday (it was Solange and Holland's first appearance at this year's Fashion Week), so we have a feeling we'll see some new faces as the event draws to a close.
While Angel Haze walked in DKNY's show over the weekend, she sat front row at 3.1 Phillip Lim's show yesterday in a semi-metallic suit and matching light-purple hair. Solange attended the Milly show doing what she does best: wearing bold-colored clothes. It's not easy to pull off orange, bright blue, and pink, but obviously Solange managed. After her five-show front row streak at last year's Fashion Week, Holland Roden appeared at Alice + Olivia's show looking very schoolgirl-chic in a plaid skirt and bow-print sweater.

As you may have concluded from our coverage over the weekend, New York Fashion Week marched along on Saturday and Sunday. It's Fashion Week, as in seven days, and not just the work week of regular ol' Joes. There were a ton of shows over the weekend, including DKNY, Christian Siriano, and Diane von Furstenberg, so celeb sightings were at an all-time high.
Azealia Banks on the cover of 'Galore.'

Azealia Banks (times three!) is on the cover of Galore's brand new Music & Friendship Issue. And, rather than having you traipse all over town to round up three different covers, as many mags do, Galore has given us three Azealias for the price of one. Multiple images means multiple outfits, which, maybe, should be the new cover standard?
The A.Z. front-and-center wears a metallic crop top and matching skirt, which, surprisingly, are not sold together but are the creations of two different companies: That's Totally Fine and This Is A Love Song. Along with coordinating metallics, the MC also shows off her affinity for pasties for the cover with some 3-D butterflies (and very little else). We've seen a lot of pasties in our day, but it's been a while since we've seen any that would mess with the drape of your shirt. (Side note: There are so many pasties in the world, y'all.)
Lo Bosworth, Siva Kaneswaran, and Taylor Schilling and New York Fashion Week.

How's everyone feeling after Day Two of New York Fashion Week? Are you warmed up and ready for more? Or are you totally burnt out already? Even if you're not trekking from one show to another, keeping up with all the trends and shows can be exhausting. I feel like I ran a marathon and all I've done is look at pictures of celebrities at Fashion Week today. I can't imagine how they feel, especially since they don't look tired, like, at all.
Last night was the launch party for the Peter Pilotto x Target collab that everyone has been eagerly awaiting. Our girl Lo Bosworth went simple in head-to-toe black, while Taylor Schilling wore possibly the cutest outfit I've ever seen. Her multicolored floral dress is totally springy and totally making me want to move to a warmer climate ASAP. As for men, Siva Kaneswaran hit up the Nautica show appropriately dressed in a sweater and scarf.
The U.S. Olympic Team and a mysterious snow woman.

If you livestreamed the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony, you were probably unable to focus on Team USA's patriotic Ralph Lauren sweater ensembles due to a mysterious woman who was walking in front of them. Decked out in white and wearing an extremely ornate headpiece, she caused quite a commotion on Twitter. It wasn't because they were wearing white after Labor Day but because no one (with the exception of the Russians) had any idea who these ladies were or why they were dressed like extras from this SNL sketch. With the power vested in us (by Googling Russian fairy tales), let us explain.
