Jessie J talks about VMA performance style.
Photo: MTV

As a seasoned journalist there are few things that merit a raised brow. I mean, what haven't I seen in the course of a decade-long career, right? SIKE! OMGAWG I still get sooooo excited all the time like JUST TODAY when I had the pleasure of interviewing British bombshell and VMA house performer Jessie J backstage at her rehearsal. FIRST OF ALL, her complexion is FLAWLESS, her custom Jenny Longworth-painted nails are patterned AND different colors (nope, they are NOT stick-ons) and her enviably eensy waistline looks even more awesome IRL in a bold Horace jumpsuit.

The crazy thing is, despite monstrous hits in this past summer's "Price Tag," and having co-written chart-blasting singles like Miley Cyrus's "Party In The U.S.A." Jessie, is so chill and regular. She has this habit of being honest and charming despite wearing a cast on her broken leg. Girl's smacks of aplomb. FOR DAYS.

Jay-Z And Kanye West Hats

Don C's customized snakeskin hats.

How bonkers is the "Otis" video? Could Jay-Z and Kanye West appear to be having more fun? The gorgeous sky, the saturated Old Glory backdrop, the overhauled Maybach, the leggy models, the Balmain—EVERY frame seizes you by the guts and BREAKS YOUR FACE with jaw-clenching envy because there is just so much to want. Namely, hi, um, Jay-Z, sir, are you wearing a python overlain, lambskin Yankees snapback with a GOLD buckle?

We, like anyone who feeds and eats the internet all day long, know that the limited-edition $400 JUST DON x Mitchell & Ness hats sold out instantly since Monday's on-sale date, but we talked to Kanye West cohort, G.O.O.D. music A&R, founder of the boutique R.S.V.P. Gallery, and the brains behind the eponymous JUST DON, Don C, to get all the deets on Jay's hat and even discovered when they'll next be made available (!!!!).

Big Bang band members get their nails did.
Photo: Courtesy of Minx Nails Korea

Oh man. Why are androgynous dudes soooooooooooooooooo flllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly? No seriously, I have nothing against a brolic guy with a neck like a bridge abutment, or tatted-up sinewy lads with vascular forearms and elegant hands that are articulate but work-worn enough that you could light an old timey match off the palm, but when a VERY PRETTY manboy has the gall to look better in makeup and jewelry than I do, I get SO mad that it is SO HOT.

Case in point, the members of K-pop crew Big Bang. First of all, your man G-Dragon as a blonde with a hella '90s grunge theme in a skully and a mess of rings looks fantastic. That he's also stunting in silver reflective Minx nails scrambles my brains. And T.O.P. in matchy-matchy mercury tips needs a GIF of flashy spirit fingers so I can just see it over and over behind my eyelids to coax me to sleep. THESE are things I NEED. I want everything that is happening in these images, she says. While playing the "Haru Haru" video on repeat and making all the non-Kreen speaking individuals on my floor crazy. WITH ENVY.

Best Coast Our Deal Video

Best Coast's Bethanny and Drew Barrymore roll dice.

Remember last week? Whoa, do you remember last week? I maybe do not. Anyway, remember when you were neck-vein deep in all of our glorious Supervideo footage? And you were all, "Whaaa? A Drew Barrymore-directed Best Coast music video for that hauntingly tantalizing summerjam 'Our Deal'? Sweet, this rules. I am SO thankful (yeah, this is STILL you talking, you're also SO longwinded) these people made this for me and my face holes because it feels good and all these pretty, pretty people like Chloë Moretz and Tyler Posey are all googly-eyed and lovestruck and hugging all up on each other in fantastic jackets, which is just pleasant as experiences go."

And then, you turned on us, instantly ungrateful: While three minutes and change PLUS a bonus feature of the fashion closet AND another interview with the stylist Alicia Lombardini was cool, maybe you wanted more? Say, seven minutes more (boy am I ever GOOD at math!)? Well, it seems that your surly, squeaky wheelishness gets some good oil because we've got the EXTENDED supervideo for you today. Here it is. Motorboat it. Actually don't because these darling actors are sorta on the young side and you're being gross. Be cool, man. BE. COOL.

Miranda Cosgrove and Chloë Moretz on-set in the Drew Barrymore-directed Best Coast Supervideo for 'Our Deal.'
Photo: Estevan Oriol

OK, it's such a MAMMOTH COSMIC JOKE that I'm paid money to do this job sometimes. Like, to where I called my mom JUST to tell her I have a "business trip" that involves Drew Barrymore and that I "can't talk right now" because I'm "on location." ANYWAY, MTV Style's MEGA excited because finally, after many, many moons of waiting and hand-wringing and NOT BEING ABLE TO DIVULGE IN DETAIL about our next Supervideo, it is here. And ain't she a beaut (totally rhetorical question obvs)? For your eyeballing pleasure, we present the Drew Barrymore-directed video with Best Coast for "Our Deal." It's like Romeo & Juliet, where the Capulets are this gang called The Night Creepers and the Montagues are The Day Trotters. Holy swoon.

Miranda Cosgrove and Chloë Moretz looking badass.

Have you ever met Drew Barrymore? It is basically the best thing ever. There's this odd halo around her head, and when she smiles with her eyes it's like a punch in the face. It. Is. So. Amazing. Essentially she is a goddess but that's beside the point. Entirely. She's also CUHRAZY talented as a director, and I had the fortune of being on-set for this Supervideo between Drew and one her favorite artists, Best Coast, for her song "Our Deal."

There were old-school Adidas galore, gobs of donated Levi's, leather jackets with hand-sewn patches, ENORMOUS hair, racks upon racks of the dreamiest sweaters and onesies, and there was even this embroidered HAWK on a crewneck cropped sweatshirt that made my face melt (don't worry, I held it far enough away that I didn't get any flesh juice on it). It was an awesome two-day shoot, craft services had at least six or eight types of candy, and by the way, no big deal, *shrugs unconvincingly* but Donald Glover, Miranda Cosgrove, Alia Shawkat, Chloë Moretz AND TYLER POSEY aka Gorgeousface McNomnompants from our own Teen Wolf were there.

Here's a sneak peek of the Romeo & Juliet-themed video. The "families" were called the Day Trotters and the Night Crawlers. There are brawls and breakdancers and graffiti. It was like a birthday party. Check it. OH, PS: Drew Barrymore's creative director is maybe the most handsome man in the world. He literally (and I hate when people use "literally" incorrectly) has the best hair. It is a water-colored dream sequence of AWESOME. Harps play when it moves. LITERALLY. ahhaha jk jk jk.

Tyler Posey is attractive.

If you want to see a super-cute interview with Drew and Bethany, check out our pals at Buzzworthy!

AND if you want to see this Supervideo in its entirety (of course you do), it airs NEXT Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m. ET. Do eeet.

Kanye West at the Vivienne Westwood Ready to Wear Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 show in Paris on March 4.
Photo: Getty Images

Kanye West and fashion go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly. Like pyramid grommets and slouchy ankle boots. Like a February movie release and a well-timed nudie pic scandal of its third-tier female supporting actress. Basically, the two are very much sympatico. And while Kanye's clothing ventures have had false starts, like the inconsistently released and killed-off-only-to-be-resurrected sportswear line Pastelle, are alright, according to Grazia, there are rumors swirling that Mr. West has enlisted some serious guns to consult on a new line. The mind squad are rumored to be the Alexa Chung cosigned designer Louise Goldin and a legendary professor at the esteemed British temple of sartorial matriculation, Central St. Martins, Louise Wilson.

No reports on whether or not he'll be taking a stab at menswear or women's, but judging from the elbows he's been rubbing since his meteoric upshot (well, maybe it's more like across) to the Front Row, this unveiling will definitely be one to watch. Makes our blogging fingers ITCH to think about it.

Kreayshawn in "Thrift Town."
All Photos Courtesy of ladytragik's YouTube channel

Are you ready for a preamble? Is it weird to write a forward to a preamble? Can a blogger just write a bunch of copy regarding a post that is slated to arrive any minute now without actually ever committing the real article to WordPress? Did I front-load the bold name for SEO sufficiently? Are you bored yet? ANYWAY, this is a long-winded way of saying we are well aware that this Kreayshawn video of her thrift shopping in San Francisco's Mission District is super old, but we just found it now and love it.

A portrait of Marilyn Monroe, Lady Gaga in Sydney, Australia, on July 10, 2011, and Thing One from Dr. Seuss' 'The Cat in the Hat.'
Photo: Getty Images/Courtesy of Seussville

Some days when you look at Lady Gaga's outfits, you figure she and stylist Nicola Formichetti consult runes, set fire to chicken bones, or else pluck their eyeballs out and pour absinthe into the recesses in order to get the glimmer of inspiration for another gonzo ensemble. Other days you take one look at Monster Madre, concede that she "nailed it," and know in your heart that she's paying homage to an iconic yester-lady like Marilyn Monroe, except with a twist, given that she is nothing if not twisty.

The curveball here is, OH DOY, the addition of aesthetic cues from Dr. Seuss' Thing 1! Or Thing 2...? Regardless, she looks marvelous in a robin's egg blue curlicued coif, saturated red (ZOMG IS THAT CHINCHILLA? *dies*) fur, and diesel, artfully penciled brows. Check out the rest of the all-red 'fit after the jump.

Finsk Project Wedges.

We're no strangers to heels. We're no strangers to challenging heels. We just love them them to pieces despite not always being able to artfully explain EXACTLY why we admire them. Like, why does so much of the appeal in the 9-inch Gaga shoes made especially for her by Noritaka Tatehana lie in fear? WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN? These FINSK PROJECT shoes aka The Finsk 116-97 Cinza designed by Julia Lundsten inhabit the similarly WHA???!! ajskdlfjskjflsdjflksjdfksjlskjdfsk plane.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
