Miguel talks Mugler and Saint Laurent for the red carpet.

Could Miguel be any more attractive? Not to make it all about the looks, because a huge part of his attractiveness is in the fact that he writes songs that turn us into quivering puddles of jelly, but man. We've been getting woozy along to his album, Kaleidoscope Dream all year, so it was no surprise when we heard he would be walking down the Grammys red carpet come February 10th (can you believe Grammys are TODAY? Wild). So what's one of the hottest guys in R'n'B going to wear tonight? With a keen eye and an appreciation for some of the finest fashion innovators—Mugler's Nicola Formichetti and Saint Laurent's Hedi Slimane—you can bet it's going to be major. We caught up with Miguel in LA to chat designers, how he feels about labels in general, and to look at some UNBELIEVABLE studded Prada creepers. Seriously, if a pair of shoes could be as cartoon wolf eyes hot as Miguel, it would be these. Watch the video after the jump!
With so many winter awards shows running, it's hard to stand out from the crowd. While we'll always have a soft spot for that little music event in February, the Golden Globe Awards are absolutely one of our favorite shows because the worlds of film and television merge for one magical night of sartorial one-upping. From silver screen starlets like Anne Hathaway to small screen sweethearts like Sarah Hyland and even soundtrack songstresses like Taylor Swift, the PYTs turned it out for the Globes step-and-repeat, and while it was a lofty task, we've whittled it all down into our list of the top 10 best dressed ladies of the night.

The lovely, doe-eyed Anne Hathaway shone bright in winter white Chanel couture. The dress, surprisingly resurfaced from the label's Spring 2009 archives, featured a sleek strapless neckline cutting straight across the chest and the look of being two pieces. The Les Miserables star won big tonight not only for her award as "Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture," but also with her strikingly simple column dress.
Happy New Year from MTV Style!.
We once heard that the way you spend New Year's Eve is the way you're going to spend the rest of the year, and let us tell you, it put a whole lot of pressure on the holiday. Making sure you have the right dress, the right shoes, the right party, and the right cutie to kiss at midnight can be a lot of work for a moment that goes by in the blink of an eye and a flash of confetti. Nevertheless, we love it, and totally buy into the whole New Year New Start vibe of the holiday as well. No, we're not going on juice cleanses or joining gyms, swearing off the occasional french fry lunch in the lodge, but we ARE making some serious commitments to overhaul our sartorial situations come 2013. We spend A LOT of time thinking about clothes, whether they're on our favorite MTV Style stars, on our readers, or on ourselves, but there isn't one of us who doesn't feel like they're in at least a little bit of a rut. Check out our New Year's Style resolutions after the jump, and add your own in the comments!
We've spent all month long counting down the very best hairstyles, fashion lyrics, and cat ladies of the year, and now that we've finally reached the last leg of "MTV Style's Best of 2012" marathon, it's time for something slightlydifferent. So rather than attempting to narrow down our favorite music videos into a neat little list, we've enlisted our friend and graphic designer Joshua Covarrubias to transform the top fashion-centric vids into PAPER DOLLS! After all, if the girls of Girls and Rihanna can get the paper doll treatment, why shouldn't Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey, PSY, and Solange?! Starring their most iconic music video outfits, each of these dolls is totally and 100% printable when you click the picture (you're welcome!). So load up the inkjet...it's time to play dress up!
Rihanna's outfits from London, Stockholm, and Toronto.
Internet time is like dog years: one day on the internet is like two weeks in real life, or even longer. With that in mind, it's been about forever since we were reintegrated into society from Rihanna's 777 Tour. The horrible flu we acquired while abroad lingers, as does the memory of her royal highness' performance outfits, so we wanted to break down our three favorite looks for you. Amidst a week of confusion, mayhem, hunger, and yeah OK, some really good times, the singer's performance outfits became something to look forward to each night, along with the moment in the DJ set when CongoRock played "Mercy" and everyone started dancing, if only for a moment. Rihanna's style has always been on point, not only because of expert styling but because of the way she wears her clothes. The woman can dress, and there's nobody who will try and argue with that.
Mary H.K. Choi: OK, so now that we're back from #RihannaPlane we've gained a certain degree of perspective and the one thing that I can say about the entire tour is that I was consistently impressed by the CLOTHES. What did you think?
Maud Deitch: I was too. I mean Rihanna is reliably on point, if not a little repetitive, in her street style. But being able to see the way that the different looks complemented each other and the venues was one of the most interesting parts of the whole experience.
MHKC: Yeah, I think Mel Ottenberg and Adam Selman killed it. Let's start with our favorites. I think we agree that the denim shorts and white tee/bodysuit situation in Stockholm was an outrageously strong look.
These are a few things MTV Style is thankful for this year.

There are a lot of things that we, the keyboard-tapping individuals behind MTV Style, are truly thankful for this year. Our families and friends and health and jobs and happiness are chief among them but are only the tip of the iceberg. We're also grateful for a lot of things that probably will never make it to a Hallmark card. Like cat memes and cool ranch Doritos and our Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls helmed House of Style reboot. With so much to be thankful for, it's hard to boil it down to just ONE (somehow style-related) thing, but we tried. Check out just a few things we're thanking our lucky stars for this Thanksgiving season after the jump!
Sure, time flies when you're having fun. But you know what? Time ALSO flies when your eyes are darting between Taylor Swift's ballgown-masquerade switcheroo during her "I Knew You Were Trouble" performance, or when you're busy watching Ke$ha get lifted up by tons of studly dudes...or when you're trying to keep track of Nicki Minaj's many outfit changes. Bottom line: the American Music Awards clearly lived up to its sky-high expectations, and the outfits were just as epic. The stars clearly pulled out all the style stops tonight, and from the statement details to the color trends to the rad beauty looks, the effort undoubtedly shows. We've combed through all of the gorgeous red carpet looks from tonight to bring you our totally official MTV Style American Music Awards Best Dressed List™. Tough job, but someone's gotta do it...
TAYLOR SWIFT IN ZUHAIR MURAD

Taylor Swift is a star who truly knows which dresses work best for her — which, if you come to think about it, is the reason the girl lands on pretty much every Best Dressed list...like, ever. But whereas her signature look usually includes a flared skirt, retro silhouettes, and a red color palette, we're pumped to see the singer mixing it up in this beaded Zuhair Murad minidress. With a short cut and a low back, the frock is a bolder look than we're used to on Taylor, but we LOVE all this experimentation. Next up, pants? You never know...

Shopping for your best friend and the guy in your life is fun, but let's be real for a sec: nothing really stacks up to that exhilarating rush you get when you find something that you've just GOTTA have for yourself. It makes braving the malls on Black Friday (yikes), elbowing strangers, and even that inevitable dip in your bank account 100% worth it. This is how we felt, at least, while putting together the 2012 Treat Yo'Self Holiday Gift Guide. The title may have been lifted from Donna and Tom in Parks and Rec, but the sentiment is still there. All of the editors here at MTV Style have rounded up everything that we're subtly-not-so-subtly adding to own personal wishlists this season. From our closets (animal sweaters, custom jackets, and accessories galore) to our beauty drawers (makeup, skincare, and manicures) to even our dream bike, consider this list the Sparknotes guide to all of our latest obsessions....and yeah, we've got a feeling you'll love it, too.
