Ariana Grande for 'Complex' Magazine.

When we think of Ariana Grande, the first thing that comes to mind (after her multi-octave, mini-Mariah voice, of course) is her super-girly, vintage style. She’s like a tiny ‘50s housewife, but with way longer hair and way higher heels. The squeaky-clean starlet has never met a floral, a-line dress she didn't like, which is why we ACTUALLY gasped out loud when we saw her new photos for Complex magazine. Grande channels gangster glam in the mag’s December issue and resembles a mob boss’ well-dressed wife or like, the deviant star of a film noir.
Rita Ora for 'Liberation.'

Rita Ora is the kind of woman who wears many, many hats (and we mean that both figuratively and literally). Figuratively, we've seen the British pop star moonlight as a model, a makeup designer and an all-around fashion fixture in the last few months alone. Literally, she also has an extensive, ever-growing collection of lux headgear. Like this rabbit-ear headband, for example. And this House of Holland metallic snap-back. And this ~very~ memorable, diamond-encrusted, antler-horned hat-mask hybrid, which we first spotted several weeks back—and now, has finally re-materialized on the cover of Libération.
Ariana Grande for 'Notion' Magazine.

What’s cuter than Ariana Grande on any given day? Aside from like, a bathtub filled with puppies, not a whole lot. Actually, after seeing the new cover of Notion magazine, we take that back. Dressed in a textured, black-and-white bustier crop-top and flared black skirt, Grande gets the cartoon treatment with illustrated embellishments from emerging artist, Hattie Stewart. OK, so, correction: the only thing cuter than Ariana Grande on any given day is now Ariana Grande surrounded by doe-eyed cartoon faces. (Sorry, puppies.)
T-Boz and Chilli for 'V' Magazine.

TLC is B-A-C-K and TBH, they look like they haven't aged a day since the '90s. Earlier this month, we got to talk to Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas about costuming for their recently-released biopic, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, and they told us that the process was actually pretty easy—thanks to their ability to preserve original outfits from the golden days and the current resurgence of '90s style. V Magazine got to chat with the duo as well, and the mag gave us the exclusive on some choice quotes from their forthcoming interview with the R&B legends.
When Iggy Azalea started posting photos of Glenn Close as Cruella De Vil this AM, we had a sneaking suspicion she’d be devoting her Halloween costume to the devilish Disney villain. But TBH, we were NOT prepared for how totally and completely committed she’d be to bringing her costume to life. The split-color wig, of course, was a given. (Although, we must say, Iggy’s looks especially voluminous.) And the black-and-white duds? We expected those, too. (Although, that fur coat looks pretty legit and her silver accessories are a nice touch.) But the living, breathing Dalmatian and the IRL Panther De Ville (actual name) as her ride? Consider our minds blown.
YAAS, Ellen! YAAS! Man, the Halloween costume competition is getting STIFF this year, you guys. Just when we thought Miley Cyrus as Lil’ Kim couldn’t be beat, Ellen DeGeneres brings THIS noise to the table and we. Are. DYING. *slow claps* I mean, let’s be real: if your name is Ellen and you were thinking about dressing up in a costume this year, you should probably just go ahead and throw in the towel. (JK, Ellens of the world! You're gonna be great!) But seriously, Ellen DeGeneres as Nicki Minaj on The Ellen DeGeneres Show is pretty much the best EVAAAR.
Lady Gaga in London.

Working in Times Square on Halloween can be confusing, because it’s like, "Oh, look! Everyone’s wandering around in costumes." But wait—are these people in costumes because it’s Halloween, or are they wearing costumes because it’s just another day in Times Square? IDK. Same goes for Lady Gaga. Case and point, the photo above: is she channeling geisha style because it’s ~finally~ Halloween, or is her Asian-ish get-up just another outfit in her over-the-top wardrobe? Again, IDK. But regardless, that giant conch-shaped parasol is pretty great, and we definitely appreciate the nod to "Venus" in the form of a new prop.

Get excited, Lovatics (and general fans of nail art)! It’s your lucky day. Demi Lovato’s polish kit collaboration with The New Black has arrived earlier than anticipated and it’s everything we ever dreamed of (and more). The blue-haired singer and X Factor coach is forever flashing her on-point nail game (see here and here, for example), so when we heard that she’d be designing some stylish collections for the DIY-nail brand (alongside her ~personal~ manicurist), we were pretty pumped, to say the least. And while we thought we’d have to wait until November 1st to get a glimpse at the kits, it turns out they’re available online now! SQUEE!
Is Hannah Montana due for a comeback?
Could it be?! Will Miley Cyrus resurrect Hannah Montana this weekend for Halloween?! She's yet to wear a costume this year (that astronaut suit from the "Real And True" music video doesn't count), and by the looks of some recent photos the singer posted on Twitter of her trying on long, flowing hair, we’re thinking the answer is a solid maybe. The first brown wig posted is awfully reminiscent of her Disney alter-ego's dirty blonde locks—though, she'd need to add some heavy bangs to get it exactly right. But if she's going for impact, a throwback ode to her former tween self would certainly be a shock. WAY more shocking than any costume she could ever come up with that's devoid of clothing. (Been there, seen that.)
