The 'Jersey Shore' cast has come a long way since the show first premiered on MTV in December 2009. And their styles have evolved as well. Today we take a look at Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. How did he go from Shore to Superstar? Let's take a look …

If there's one thing Jersey Shore's Ronnie Ortiz-Magro knows about style, it's that he doesn't need a shirt to look good. We tracked 23 of Ronnie's top looks in the past year, and he's shirtless in most of them. Sure, we were looking for a transformation, but Ronnie's change in looks is not as major as some of the other cast members, like his girl, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola. Mostly, he got tanner since last year. Instead, Ronnie stayed true to his roots, and remained in his shirtless comfort zone through most of the year, often exposing his nipple ring for all to see. Because if Ronnie's proven anything with his style, it's that sometimes going shirtless looks better than wearing clothes.

Do you think Ronnie's style has gotten better?

Shoes last week were tall and taller. Platforms graced the red carpet on lots of celebrity feet — Keira Knightley wore Christian Louboutin platform pumps to a London photo call for Never Let Me Go, Kat Von D sparkled in Bordello lace-up platforms at the Hollywood premiere of Jackass 3D, and Demi Lovato wore platform buckle sandals by Christian Louboutin to the American Music Awards nominations in Los Angeles. What, no flats for fall?

'Jersey Shore' first premiered on MTV in December 2009, and since then, the cast has come a long way. And with that, their styles have evolved as well. Throughout the next few weeks, we'll be taking a look at the style transformations of our favorite 'Jersey Shore' cast members, seeing how they went from Shore to Superstar. Let's kick it off with Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola ...

When Sammi first started on Jersey Shore, she definitely didn't look like she does today. She curled her hair (now it's always straight), wore low-heeled pumps (now she's mostly in stilettos), and layered on big, bulky chains (now she keeps her jewelry minimal, if she wears any at all). She also wears more black now, and much less animal print. Most noticeably, however, she also wasn't as tan as she is now! Overall, her style has become more sophisticated, and we predict her refining her style even more in the future. Want to see how her style has evolved? Click here to check it out.

Best Coast's new video for "Boyfriend" just premiered today on MTV2, and we were so excited to see what lead singer Bethany Cosentino would wear in the new vid. After all, she's known for her urban-hipster-mixed-with-cool-Los-Angeles style, and this video showed off her look perfectly. Turns out, she only wore one outfit, but it's a good one — a floral romper, tiered gold fringe necklace, and large oval stone ring. As for the video, it takes place at a sweet 15 party where the Best Coast band is playing, and Bethany looks super chill in her floral playsuit singing about a girl who wants a certain guy to be her boyfriend. Want to steal her "Boyfriend" video look? Find out how below!

ROMPER: We found her exact romper! It's from Urban Outfitters, and it's still available online ($68, The spaghetti-strap floral playsuit has a skirted bottom, and we love the fall-friendly colors of brown, turquoise, and lime green.

ACCESSORIES: Bethany Cosentino wore a three-tiered gold fringe necklace, and Hive And Honey makes one that is very similar ($32, She also wore a large stone ring, and this one by Free People ($18, does the trick.

Katy Perry is gearing up to promote her first-ever fragrance, Purr, which drops this November, and this is the outfit she wore for her new ads, which WWD released today. She's dressed like a cat! Katy Perry wore a pink and purple latex bodysuit with leopard spots all over it (everyone loves themselves some leopard these days!), complete with black stilettos, a cat mask, and a matching latex tail. (Does that tail look weird to you, or is it just us?) She's also nibbling on neon pink yarn, taking the cat imagery to even more literal levels, if it wasn't obvious before. Though, there are many other kitty innuendos that can be associated with this that we won't go into right now.

Ed Westwick on October 14, September 10, and July 28.

Ed Westwick loves to show off his chest hair ... and we love to see it! The Gossip Girl star unbuttons his shirt every chance he gets, hitting the red carpet with his little chest bush popping out one time after another. Just last night, Ed attended annual Gotham magazine gala in New York and left the top three buttons of his mauve shirt open, so there was at least nine inches of hairiness for the world to gawk and drool over. That's why we need more! So, we've collected a bunch of photos of Chuck Bass Ed Westwick showing off his straggly strands. We think his chest bush is kinda sexy — so hug-able, bear-ish, manly, hot, and ... OK, we'll stop now. But what do you think?

The Hills ladies love their little black dresses! The best part about this wardrobe must-have is how there are multiple ways to wear it. Stephanie Pratt took the sheer approach when she wore a see-through black dress from Topshop to the Los Angeles premiere of Middle Men (now sold out). Earlier this week, Audrina Patridge went for a more conservative look in a Stanton James mini dress, Brian Atwood peep-toe pumps, and a clutch by Kara Ross. And Kristin Cavallari showed off her shoulders in a strapless style by Betsey Johnson, which she wore for the designer's fashion show in September (now online, $278, So who has the best LBD? Of these three, we'd only want to copy one — Audrina's! Her look is so versatile and would work in any fashion situation, from the red carpet to work. But what do you think?

The Situation, Sammi, Snooki and Vinny of 'Jersey Shore.'

Jersey Shore is winding down its second season, and last night's episode was another dose of hookups, abs, and debauchery. Which is why we're turning our attention to another aspect of the Shore antics — the beach! We turned to Jersey Shore cast members Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Vinny Guadagnino, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola to find out the answer to this very important question: What makes a good beach outfit? Mike says he picks his swimsuits like he picks women, Vinny won't wear short shorts, Snooki wants you to look tan, and Sammi wears black most of the time. But there's more! Find out everything about how to pick a swimsuit Jersey Shore-style below!

"I pick my swimsuits just like I pick my women. As soon as I see it, I like it, and that's it. I get it real quick."

"I like swim trunks to the knees. I think once you get a little above the knee, you gotta start, you know, watching your back."

"If the bikini makes you look disgusting and pale, then you don't want to wear it."

"I like bikinis and ones that are black because my favorite color is black and I feel slim in black."

+ Who has the best swimsuit advice — Situation, Vinny, Snooki, or Sammi?

The Like backstage at the Leeds Festival on Aug. 28.

The Like is an all-girl band that we have a girl crush on. They have awesome music and awesome style, and that pairing makes them one of our current favorites. Which is why we were pumped when we saw the four-person group — Elizabeth "Z" Berg (vocals and guitar), Tennessee Thomas (drums), Laena Geronimo (bass), and Annie Monroe (organ) — support a worthwhile cause last weekend, performing at the Generation Next event presented by O'Neill Clothing and Teen Vogue in Los Angeles on Oct. 9. Their live performance culminated an evening of supporting young, ambitious designers competing to win a design internship at O'Neill and a $5,000 scholarship, among other cool things. We caught up with lead singer Berg after the event to find out about The Like's signature style, having (or not having) a stylist, and more. Check it out below!

How are music and fashion similar?
Elizabeth "Z" Berg: "I think fashion and music are very similar; both art forms are an attempt to express one's self and try to communicate your vision with the world. The biggest challenge is believing in yourself even when no one else does. That's the place to start! Never give up on yourself and your vision. That's why this 'Generation Next' event that O'Neill is putting on is something we wanted to be a part of."

What is your biggest tip for going after your dreams?
"Don't give up! If you love it, make it your life!"

How does your style reflect your music?
"It's important to us that the aesthetic match the music and the entire package is a representation of ourselves, our vision, and our wish to apply order and beauty to the chaos of modern life."

How has your style evolved since you were in high school?
"I dress a lot like I did as a child actually, in fact I pretty much only wear children's vintage clothes! But I'm sure I had some bad high school moments. Definitely had some weird hairstyles!"

What's your least favorite trend today?
"I don't like sweatpants or any kind of 'comfort' clothing. I like to dress up! Make an effort!"

You ladies are known for rocking '60s-inspired black eyeliner. How do you perfect this look?
"Practice, practice, practice! I used to do my eye makeup every day in the car on the way to high school so I can do my eyes no matter the circumstance! Eye makeup boot camp!"

Where do you look for the mod-inspired clothes that you typically wear on stage? Are they vintage?
"A lot of vintage. We search the world for great minidresses and hot pants on tour! It's a worldwide treasure hunt. Also there are some great new designers we're friends with like Charles Anastase, an Australian clothing company called Lover and a great L.A. designer called Geronimo."

As a band, how do you collectively decide what your look onstage is going to be for each performance? Do you have a stylist?
"No stylists allowed in this band! We do it all ourselves. Tennessee [Thomas] makes sure we all coordinate properly. She's sort of the aesthetic director of the band."

Dancing With The Stars voted off Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino last night, sadly ending his run to be the best dancer. But if that was the low point of the program, the high point definitely happened earlier in the evening when Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine performed an acoustic version of her hit song "Dog Days Are Over" live on the show while dancers floated all around her. And we loved her outfit! While Florence usually wears ethereal gowns that flow freely, last night she wore a beige long gown with a pin on the neck. Her look was so simple and sleek that it left you with nothing else to focus on but her voice. Did you like her DWTS outfit?
