"The Buried Life" cast in October 2009.
Photo: MTV

If there's one thing we have in common with The Buried Life cast, it's the desire to design a shoe before we die (it's a stylish bucket list, mmkay?). To bring to life their vision of sneakers that light up, the guys joined forces with Creative Recreation, whose contemporary kicks are favored by hot boys everywhere (e.g., Zac Efron, Taylor Lautner, and yeah, you get the idea). True, our dream shoe design would have featured a 4-inch heel, as well as the ability to repel rain and allow us to gracefully traverse New York City's pothole-ridden streets, but we gotta admit that these aptly titled "Buried Lights" sneaks are pretty snazzy. The shoes hone in on LED technology, using colorful glowing panels cushioned in black leather for the kind of shoe that sneaker aficionados dream about.

Fergie wears Breast Cancer Research and Awareness shoe to iHeartRadio Music Festival.
Photo: WireImage/Courtesy of Fergie Footwear

Every October, we are faced with a deluge of pink products, a reference to the pink ribbon which is the official symbol of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Over the years, we've collected stacks of fuchsia rubber bracelets, rosy-hued slogan T-shirts and yes, even a plastic umbrella in a lovely salmon hue (hey, we'd never say no to shopping for a good cause). But leave it to Fergie to come out with something ridiculously fabulous and fashionable in support of Breast Cancer Awareness—a limited edition 4-inch Fergie Footwear 'Awareness' heel that's fuchsia pink and sparkly all over.

Ryan Gosling and the "Drive" bomber jacket.
Photo: Courtesy of FilmDistrict

When you watch a movie like Drive, it's easy to admire director Nicolas Winding Refn's polished artistic vision or the fine acting (and the fiiiiiiine face/bod/everything) of Ryan Gosling. But we'd like to call your attention to the work of costume designer Erin Benach, particularly the iconic white satin jacket which Ryan's character, Driver, wears throughout the film. A recent interview with Benach revealed the gargantuan efforts behind its creation (clearly, you do not just buy a jacket like that off the rack). And whaddaya know, "special and awesome and unique" Ryan (Benach's words, though we certainly agree) was totally involved in the process. "We discuss everything beforehand," Benach, who has worked with Ryan before on Blue Valentine and Half Nelson, coos. Hmph.

Jessie J and Nicki Minaj wear animal hoods.

If there's one thing in life of which I'm certain, it's that the animal hood craze will never die. There will always be girls—and guys (we see you, Jared Leto!)—eager to sport furry ears and a cute little animal face on their heads. A year ago, we caught Khloe Kardashian and Ke$ha facing off in SpiritHoods. Now we're debating between two favorites, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj, both of whom recently took a walk on the wild side.

Natali Germanotta and her sister, Lady Gaga.

Genetics can be blamed for pretty much everything bad, like thin hair or jiggly thighs that, no matter how many lunges you do, stay exactly the same. But in the case of the Germanotta sisters, genes mean they share a love of fashion and an incredible, nearly inimitable fashion aesthetic. Case in point: While Lady Gaga has clearly established her rule as pop music's most fashion-forward star, her little sister, Natali Germanotta, is forging her own path as a designer while attending the prestigious Parsons The New School For Design (yep, she's legit).

Kristen Stewart at London Fashion Week.
Photo: Getty Images

Many thoughts came to mind when we spotted photos of Kristen Stewart at the Mulberry show during London Fashion Week, the foremost being, "So this is what we need to look like in order to be Robert Pattinson's girlfriend." Those deliciously smoky eyes! That floaty dress paired with the badass ankle boots (you know, the perfect combo of tough/pretty that we all can only hope to achieve so effortlessly). But what killed us MOST of all was Kristen's brand-new 'do: a gush of flowing, long, dark hair spilling over her shoulder like a waterfall of inky black gorgeousness. Kristen's rocking this look for her role in Snow White and the Huntsman (she plays Snow White, duh), and we've gotta say, this hairstyle totally tramples all over the mullet she previously sported to play Joan Jett. And get this: Kristen not only sat front row at Mulberry, but right next to Kate Moss. One can only imagine how that convo went ("Our names both start with a K? Let's be friends!").

Cocktail dresses for Spring 2012 at Marc by Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, and Sherri Hill during New York Fashion Week.
Photo: Getty Images

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single girl in possession of a cocktail dress, must be in want of another one (or ten). Well, we're pretty sure that's how Jane Austen would have opened Pride and Prejudice if she'd been around today. Good ol' Jane would have known that a girl can never, ever have enough cocktail dresses in her fashion arsenal, which is why every season of New York Fashion Week ushers in an array of stunning little frocks ripe for the picking. For Spring 2012, Marc by Marc Jacobs stepped up to the plate with his quirky twist on the LBD: a sweetheart neckline, a splash of coral, and bright yellow heels.

Ball gowns for Spring 2012 at Jason Wu, Marchesa, and Christian Siriano during New York Fashion Week.
Photo: Getty Images

Forget Cinderella. She may have had her happily ever after, but we're pretty sure that chick was confined to the same ball gown (blue satin and puffy white sleeves ring a bell?) for all eternity. After New York Fashion Week, we'd much rather take our pick from the Spring 2012 collections. Oozing youthful elegance, the stream of contemporary ball gowns that paraded down the runways are practically begging us for a night on the town. Take Jason Wu's strapless chartreuse number, which effortlessly combines elements of sweet (that little bow belt!) and sassy (a shorter-in-the-front hemline that allows you to show off whatever fabulous shoes you're wearing at the moment).

Bright lips for Spring 2012 at Betsey Johnson, Richard Chai, and J.Crew during New York Fashion Week.
Photo: Getty Images

There's only one word that accurately describes how we feel about the bold, bright lips on the Spring 2012 runways of New York Fashion Week: obsessed. Fall is barely upon us, yet after taking in the looks at Betsey Johnson, Richard Chai, and J.Crew, we have a sudden urge to run to the nearest makeup counter, buy lipstick in the most ridiculously vivid colors imaginable, and smear it all over our puckers. Clearly, the key to pulling off this look is to keep the rest of your face simple and understated, unless you're Nicki Minaj or you just don't friggin' feel like it.

Sportswear for Spring 2012 at Alexander Wang, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Ruffian during New York Fashion Week.
Photo: Getty Images

Even if you're not really athletic, the sportswear trend that emerged from the Spring 2012 New York Fashion Week runways has you covered. And no, we're not talking the battered sneakers or faded college sorority T-shirts you still wear to the gym. We're talking luxe sportswear, light-as-air fabrics, sleek silhouettes, and lively bursts of color. We're talking Alexander Wang, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Ruffian, who all displayed chic, sporty ensembles that you'd never actually wear to play sports, but would wear to convey your active, on-the-go lifestyle.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
